Location, parking, room size and bathroom were excellent.Great night's sleep
Didn't try the restaurant as the atmosphere exuded 'stuffiness'. Bar staff had training wheels on and had no idea about serving a malt whiskey over ice. Cooked breakfast that other travellers had raved about was very average
* openable windows * good restaurant * friendly helpful staff * good parking on site
* flooding from the shower into bathroom * bathroom bench space very limited * room bit small for two * limited closet space * table not necessary, space limited * slow elevator, bumpy ride
staff were good. Coffee and tea were good. plenty of towels. Free parking which was helpful.
front windows need double glazing
Clean room in a good location. Very good breakfast
Poor service in bar.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location - overlooking parkland, on the edge of the city centre. Good breakfast with quick service. Comfy bed.
The emergency vehicles seemed to go passed frequently, with sirens going.
ability to park car and nearness to centre of city and comfortable room and restaurant and bar very good
15 minute walk from train station, walking distance to city centre and river cam
Near historic centre quiet location car parking
No wardrobe or clothes drawers
this is a very nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. We were taking our son back to university so it was just one night and we were very tired after the long drive. For this reason I could not comment on facilities. Top marks to the staff. The price at £160 just for the room seemed high but I guess it was a busy time
The fan in the bathroom - there did not seem to be anyway to stop it and I slept very badly for this reason as the humming was insistent and endless. Perhaps it was possible to stop it, but we tried closing the bathroom door and leaving it open but nothing worked. Usually the fan goes off a few minutes after the light is switched off. There was also noise from outside early in the morning but I probably would not have noticed this if I had slept well otherwise
extremely friendly and helpful staff, hotel in superb location. comfortable rooms and really good restaurant.
bathroom/wetroom a bit small and gets wet floor easily.
Location Cleanliness Parking in the city Great looking hotel
A bit pricey but then it's much more affordable than some of nastier hotels in Cambridge, also the location is brilliant!
central and free parking
Would have liked to have light breakfast in room after 7 am but it did not se possible when breakfast served in dining room
Facilities in room Asking reception for everything that should be standard in a room.
Rooms provided were not as booked, despite promises beforehand No hot water for showers Insufficient towels provided Air conditioning very difficult to turn off Breakfast should have been included
Location, umbrellas, fruit in lobby
Nothing, everything was great. Will stay here again.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, clean and had every amenity.
Meals and particularly drinks at the bar were over-priced.
Not a lot on the dinner menu - I was looking for a salad - but chose fish instead and it was gorgeous as was the bakewell tart and white chocolate ice cream! Definitely the best choice.
The fan in the room is noisy so we switched it off but then it got stuffy so we tried to open the window, which did open but had to be wedged open as it would not stay open on its own. But we are old fashioned in not liking the AC.
it smelled of smoke
In Cambridge on business and the location was 10 minutes walk from my meeting at the University excellent. Good car parking and easy to find. Will stay there again in the future.
It was very clean and modern and very close to many restaurants.
The bathroom didn't have a real door.
location breakfast was excellent nice room
no view had to wait for check in although requested an early check in
We arrived early and the staff (Ben and Lauren) were so welcoming and went out of their way to oblige us with arranging for early check-in. Rooms and facilities were excellent, breakfast very good, location outstanding. Excellent service from staff.
Unfortunately there was no hot water in the morning. This affected quite a few rooms. Must have just been bad luck that day.
Location, staff and comfortable beds
Lack of wardrobe and drawers in the room. Extra charges for some breakfast choices
