De Vere Venues Gorse Hill  

Hotel befindet sich in einem sehr schönen und eleganten Manor House. Ganz ruhige Lage in einem großen Park. In unmittelbarer Nähe zu mehreren bekannten Golf Clubs (Woking, St. George Hill, Sunningdale). Cafe, Tee und Cookies sind den ganzen Tag gratis im Salon angeboten. Frühstück gut und reichlich (Buffet).W-Lan ist gratis. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist außergewöhnlich gut.

Die Qualität des Abendessens im Restaurant des Hotels ist nur bedingt akzeptabel. Die Vorspeise (geräucherter Lachs) war gut, aber der von meiner Frau gewählte Hauptgang (Fisch) kam aus der Tiefkühltruhe und war winzig. Der von mir gewählte Hauptgang (Pork Belly) war ordentlich.

Lounge, Frühstück

Zimmer und Doppelbett waren viel zu klein. Fenster konnte nicht richtig geschlossen werden. Teppiche abgenutzt und verfleckt.

Location and good food

Poor service at the bar: 1. Served Gin and Tonic with no lime or lemon, and when asked said it was 'in the cellar' i.e. too lazy to fetch it 2. First wine I ordered from the list was 'not available'

Friendly, comfortable, quiet, good value, would stay again

Quite location not far from Woking city centre

Tv facilities and equipment out of date, I had to retune the tv myself when they were working on the digital switchover as nearly all channels were lost.

Traditional Country House being well preserved as a hotel. Some indications of customer service.

Complete disregard for energy useage and waste. Small points missed. Some attentions to detail required on cleaning (the vent in the dining room, the windows in the bar)

We immediately found the place to be beautiful. Visiting from Canada, we found the history and landscape was impressive. The room was a great size and very clean. Very large grounds to walk on and felt private for our stay. The team who serve for breakfast were very eager to serve. We had a standard double room and it was much larger than the 2 other hotels were stayed at in London. This place is meant for a quiet relaxing rejuvenating time.

We stayed a couple nights. Coming by taxi was very reasonable from the Woking station and we planned to eat all our meals there. Due to low occupancy on the Sunday evening, they closed the restaurant but we were able to order from the bar and eat our dinner in the nice lounge. I can't say I'd complain since the food was still available, I guess I'd just suggest a larger table that sits higher while eating. Overall, we were very pleased!

Lovely location with a friendly atmosphere

I wanted a budget stay which is what I enjoyed. I was overall very happy with the hotel but thought the room was a bit tired and needed updating

The Staff were very friendly - the bar and communal areas were very comfortable

We did not get a moment sleep as the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The breakfast was cold and when we told them they just took it away to be reheated and then everything was hard.

First class hotel with staff to match.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed and large bathroom. Easy parking. Excellent breakfast. Fantastic value for money!

Nothing - it was very good - especially for the excellent deal offered.

Very comfortable clean hotel, great welcome by staff very helpfull relaxed atmosphere with excellent facilities. Lovely grounds, disabled room very good, and placed ramps straight away to access areas required.

Some areas starting to look a bit shabby & dated but still a good place to stay.
