Not a lot
Tiny tiny bed.
Lounge and bar facilities
Given a 1.2 meter bed on a standard double room value deal! Only one pedestal! Sleep impossible and worst double hotel bed we ever slept in anywhere in the world.
Nice room comfortable bed, quiet. Lovely breakfast.
Wow, after not sleeping well for sometime the bed was very comfy and I had a good nights sleep
Room was small for the money, waiter tried to clear plates while still eating, food wasn't the best
The single room was way too small
Double bedroom so small that one side had no bedside table and side of pillow was against a wardrobe!
As a vegetarian arriving late, I didn't expect much. The chef accommodated my choosing vegetables from different main courses, and I wound up with a delicious, varied, elegant vegetarian meal. The beauty treatment I had the next day was perfect.
location and grounds were lovely staff very helpful and friendly
The grounds are lovely, the trees light up at night and it has a nice Manor House feel to it! Bathroom was big....in fact bigger than the room!!
The room was small, extremely hot and the windows do not open, the matteress was uncomfortable and every pillow needed replacing immediately! It's a bit like a travel lodge where directions are pointed out from behind a desk to your room!! Disliked donating to a charity I knew nothing about but was just added to my bill???
Room was clean but decor tired and not enough coffee/tea in the room
Difficult location to find;put in room in main house over weekend when 2 wedding receptions spoilt our stay through inconsiderate noise from guests in early hours
the food for room service was amazing. the room was clean and comfortable and the room prices were a good value for the money
Couldn't fault the hotel and staff! Fantastic value for money! Food was fantastic!
Wouldn't pay £8.50 for breakfast! Mum is a very light eater and there didn't seem to be a smaller breakfast menu, though to be fair I didn't ask the question!
The check in was easy, the room was clean and tidy all we needed for an overnight stay.
Room was a bit dated and we where put in the lodge which is a good walk from the main hotel. access tight for getting cases to the room.
Luxurious estate surroundings, excellent restaurant, all-round indulgence.
The budget rooms are in the lodge building, which is a short stroll from the main building. But they are far from 'budget' rooms - if trying to decide between this and a chain budget hotel, pick this!
good location overall good ambience pleasant bar attractive surroundings good food
old fashioned venue keys to open doors can easily hear guests from other rooms and outside door.. tea and coffee facilities poor ,not restocked
The room, the food but most of all the excellent staff from signing in to signing out. Simply perfect.
Being picky the length of time to wait at the bar for service.
Quiet location, friendly helpful staff, very comfortable bed in a quiet room. Bar food and breakfast good. Excellent value for money.
setting, charming house,most helpful staff
A lack of hot water. No lift
Front of house and bar staff were very good Quiet location and good nights sleep Breakfast ok value for this type of hotel We got a good deal on the price, tried again for a booking in 4 months later and price almost tripled so booked elsewhere
Bar prices steep Bar food average - pie pastry was rock hard. No lift, bit of a walk to top floors
Free coffee, location, room size and friendly staff
Windows not great ;)
The location and public rooms and grounds were excellent.
The standard rooms in the courtyard were very poor, tired and with NO outlook. The shower over the bath was lethal with a very slippery bath surface and no grab handle.
Nice welcome, lovely lounge area, nice patio and gardens. Good disabled access bathroom, but actual disbled room very small - only really big enough for one.
We paid £94 for a superior room, only to be told on arrival that it was 2 flights up with no lift - my husband has walking difficulties. Also charged for 2 breakfasts that weer included in the booking price! Disabled room ok but very small, very dark and VERY COLD!! certainly NOT WORTH £94.!! glass of wine £7.50, small dish of peanuts £2.00!! Lovel;y staff though - very helpful so thank you .
