Parking. We were there for a wedding, 3 bar staff in the evening, only one girl serving, 2 other chaps cared more for talking, wandering about. Room had just de-caf coffee in, no tea,no sugar, shower took for ever to warm up, small room although booked as Executive suite? Gardener decided to mow the lawn at 7am in the morning so woke everyone up. Not good experience at all.

The hotel was comfortable and the room was clean the location was well suited for our needs. The food was good The room was small and dark the complementary items were not replaced every day the food on one night was rubbish the staff were not available at times you had to go and look for someone had to wait in the bar and the restaurant for service the reception staff were not very knowledgeable as to what sites were in the area to visit

Very pretty buildings and gardens. Excellent customer service and friendly staff (including the cleaners). Very nice bar meal. Clean and comfortable room with a large bathroom. Good value for money. Floors in the annex were a little creaky so you could hear people moving around at night.

A great hotel for the money you pay...the grounds are absolutely gorgeous! The rooms are very nice too. Not entirely sure why they haven't got a spa on-site, they've def. got room. Nothing.

The 2nd room we were given was very good and the hotel is a quality operation, F&B service and product very good, room spacious with great bathroom. Will use the hotel again when in the area, The 1st room we were given Room 51 was a good room for the price however the bed was very small to be classed as a double, more of a large 3/4, but we were moved to a room (49) with a bigger bed when we asked. The receptionist was very good at her job, efficient friendly and professional. I have worked in luxury Hospitality management all over the world for over 30 years, and would employ her at the drop of a hat.

This was a last min booking as was snow stranded , this wasn't the closest hotel but had stayed in a De Vere venue hotel before and was impressed so we chanced the 4 mile drive in snow and ice.... Didn't let us down lovely warm cosy rooms (bit small but for one 0r two nights was fine). Staff couldn't be more friendlier facilities great good food at reasonable prices. Spent the evening siting by lovely log fire watching the snow fall magical..

Bathroom very good Size of room was good Free Parking (not a given these days!) Stayed in main 'house' so no lift to 2nd floor. Bed was poor quality and soft. Signage/ direction were poor for the 'Country home' location. Breakfast was a vast sum at £10.50 ph. (£9 if you booked).

the rooms were quite and clean, excellent bathroom, the meals were of a good standard and very reasonably priced. I would recommend Gorse Hill to my colleagues. TV reception was poor although there was a notice to that effect in the room, one wonders how long they had been trying to resolve the problem.

Very friendly staff, characterful building set in its own grounds but close to Woking. Excellent food in the restaurant and bar. Great lounge and bar area. Very good rates when booked in advance. Best hotel in the area by far at this price range. Very noisy plumbing and poor sound insulation between rooms, especially in the Lodge rooms by the entrance. You can here every toilet flush and bathroom use very clearly and people's conversations. I always bring ear plugs or i wouldn't get any sleep. Doesn't stop me coming back as it is great value overall.
