beautiful setting, old traditional building with modern updates, rooms warm and comfortable, food fabulous, staff friendly and helpful. confusion about booking and price of same- were told we had booked 2 rooms, cleared that up then charged different price than one quoted when booked. Essential to bring all original booking details as proof of booking and price quoted. |

No Wifi or normal internet in hotel. Toiletries or towels not provided. When asked informed that the store is closed and been given hand towels for shower. Lamps and lights in room dont work. The rooms they show in the advert are different from what they give you. Double room we got was on third floor and took us 10 mins to walk to with luggage. Nobody to atleast show us the way. Room was worn down and the size of two mini coopers. Hotel location in middle of nowhere. Thoroughly not acceptable for the Central London rates they charge. I think this hotel has to be taken off the list from booking.com |

Drink on the terrace and free wi-fi Too much to mention but the room was at best basic, the dinner menu basic, the reception and restaurant staff were lacking in any warmth or welcome. The barman was the only member of staff that seemed to have a personality. |

De Vere offer a good 4 star standard, clean rooms, good quality linen, good firm mattresses and pillows and a friendly service. If you book on a £50 rate it is very good value for money. All the basic essentials, Corby press & iron etc. The windows wouldn't lock shut on the top floor, which could present a security risk. Obviously the 4 star standard comes with 4 star prices in the bar and restaurant, and the food is good but it would be nice to see some more healthy options on the menu. Some areas of the room could do with minor maintenance (bathroom ceiling, wall scuffs). Sky TV needs fixing. |

Beautiful building in convenient location; my room was wonderful - light, airy, clean and spacious. I booked this hotel because of a special deal of £29 for the night and it was extremely good value for money. I will definitely look out for these deals again. |
