Good location. Clean room. Very comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. Friendly courteous staff.

No parking and shower a little small.

The small double room was tastefully furnished and we liked the idea of being able to enter and exit the premises without walking past a reception area.

Our only gripe is that breakfast is served in the 'pub area' and whilst we were taking it, the cleaner was cleaning the floor of the pub and the smells of both the vacuum cleaner and the disinfectant were most disagreeable, as we ate.

Really friendly and helpful staff. We had dinner in CJs downstairs and loved the feel of the place which was lively and fun. We enjoyed a great dinner and cooked breakfast. Make sure you visit the terrace if the weather is good. Lovely bedroom and big bathroom - we stayed in the Sackville Room. Thanks for making us so welcome.

There was a bit of noise from the pub over the road which wouldn't be great if you were after an early night but it didn't bother us.

The proximity of the rooms to the cafe-bar made eating-in an interesting option - wide range of options and well presented. The staff were friendly and the room comfortable, especially the bed. I'd certainly stay again.

If you like an early night or are a light sleeper be prepared to use earplugs until the cafe-bar beneath the rooms closes. Parking is on-street with restrictions during the trading day, which might be a problem depending on when you stay.

We were welcomed outside the usual check-in time and the receptionist was very helpful and attrentive

Comfortable bed, well furnished room, convenient eating in cafe bar downstairs, for pleasant evening meal.

Room cold on arrival (radiator thermostat was on frost setting) Cooked breakfast available Sunday morning from 9.00 am onwards, so we had continental tray breakfast. Lights fused Sunday morning, so no bathroom access, and nobody around to fix fuse.

Locarion was good but the service and friendliness of the staff was just wonderful. Kyla, who seemed to run the place, was an absolute delight. Extremely customer focused and welcoming. She made a relatively basic B&B in to a hugely enjoyable experience because of her determination to assist us in every way. We were also impressed at how quiet the room was, despite being in the centre of town. Very nice!

Barhroom was too small and basic but this is normal for a B&B and the shower was surprisingly good. The food we had in the Bar was all very fatty but this was probably our mistake for chosing the wrong things. Desserts were delicious and the wine choice good!

I loved our room 'Cromwell Room.' It was very clean and well presented and full of character. I'd heard via internet reviews about the wonderful breakfast and this was true! I don't normally eat much in the morning but I took advantage of the Full English breakfast and extra helpings of Alpen! I would love to visit again.

The room was ok.

We could'nt get English breakfirst because we wanted to leave at 8.30am!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The music in the pub was loud until 12.30 in the night.

we had the Sackville room, nothing to dislike, thought we might be disturbed by high street noise, but we slept soundly!

beds uncomfortable, matteresess very old ,bathrooms tiny and mould on grout, lack of parking, toilets take hours to refill before they can be flushed.

The Olde Worlde room, very nice, with carved oak bed head, antique furniture. Listened to the Church Bells, when I awoke on Christmas morning. The Church was next door, Friendly reception.

Difficult to find - Front Door was wedged between a bar and something else. Whole enrance was only about 10ft wide and no front desk. Even when I was standing outside the door I did not know I was there at first. Reception in slightly rough bar next door. Even so a very good stay - The room was very attractive , and the sevice friendly. The breakfast was OK.

All round nice place to stay. Saff and owner all very friendly. Great breakfast.

It was a convenient location for our stay - the staff were friendly. You felt really welcome when you arrived and at breakfast the following morning. The breakfast was delicious too! We will definitley stay again when we are in the area needing a short break.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming and made sure we enjoyed our stay. The cafe next door turned out to be more of a wine bar with food and it was open all evening so we didn't have to venture far to have an enjoyable time. Although the cafe was really busy in the evening the staff still found time to look after us and make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend it.
