Score from 15 reviews Very good
In the midst of rolling hills in the beautiful Welsh countryside, this contemporary hotel and golf course is on the spectacular Gower Peninsula, just minutes from Swansea and the M4 highway.
Score from 67 reviews Good
The room was very spacious and well decorated, the bathroom too. It was all very clean. I think the curtains must have been black outs because they did a great job at keeping the light out.
Because the curtains were so heavy they had lost a few curtain hooks which meant they looked a bit saggy. Also I don't know what it was but there was high pitched whining noise which was particulary annoying when I was trying to sleep. Couldn't get the bedside lights to work but that could have been me!
The staff were very pleasant and allowed access to our room early as we were going to a wedding. Large room with a first class bathroom.
The checkout in the morning was somewhat haphazard as we spent some time trying to pay. However the one member of staff said they had our card details so they would take the payment from that.
Modern contemporary look. Quiet location. Staff friendly.
Tiled floor was full of Sand/Grit and had not been swept. Bath Plug opener broken. Fixed shower head not user friendly, should have had a flexible shower hose. Mattress too soft. Very basic facilities . No breakfast available Not good value for money
Really spacious dog friendly rooms. Very clean, light and airy. Lovely bathroom facilities.
No reception at Hotel, unable to check in after 4.00pm on Sunday. Was a late booking, but although phone number was on door of hotel no one answered the phone. Had to go to another hotel and check in the following day. Other than that we were very pleased with the accommodation provided and was certainly value for money.
Very large rooms with good bed and bathroom facilities .
Very large room Plenty of parking
Lack of staff presence at the accommodation No safety chain on door
BIG ROOM AND BIG BATHROOM.
OUR ROOM WAS NOT MADE UP FOR OUR SECOND NIGHT
Main decor excellent.
Curtains not hung very well. Allowed light in. Base of bed showing, would benefit having a valance.
Very big rooms, very friendly helpful staff.
Clean Large room Private Good view
No staff No house maintainance No fresh towels Only enough milk for one cup of tea
Quiet, good space, clean
Both my kids had bath (room 4), the water did not overflew at all, but supermarket staff knocked our door to check if there is any leakage, and we found some water coming out from somewhere near bathroom door, and my son slipped and fall down as the floor become really slippery with water on it. I think owner should fix it as this could cause health and safety problem.
Clean, spacious, good decor, lovely bathroom. Good base for touring Gower-only 20 mins from Worms Head.
Bit noisy as over supermarket, quite busy road-we may be over sensitive as we live in the middle of nowhere!
Lovely and quiet, nice room very large all new fixtures views windows that open! Close to Gower and wedding venue. Good base to venture out from very private, good bathroom shower and bath big very clean throughout good facilities at supermarket, cafe looked nice but not open Sunday.Would stay again as its a very laid back place good value and good parking.
The name apartments is misleading as there is no fridge, microwave and the rooms are lovely but not as an apartment no table/dining area. It is just like a hotel room not apartment. No reception area, check in at till in supermarket. Supermarket only open at 11 am Sunday. Says on web site 50% money taken on booking this is not correct the whole amount was taken out after stay. Its very laid back and unfussy unconventional check in at supermarket, different but it works ok!
The way we were welcomed by a lady member of the shop staff also the staff were very helpful with any questions we had both in cafe and shop and the size of the room and bathroom deco of high standard
Manager a bit aloof did not look up and acknowledge us even when a member of staff said we had arrived also a few of the curtains were hanging off in room 2 would have been nice to have a biscuit with a cup of tea in the bedroom and nothing at all offered the 2nd day
Excellent room, bathroom very luxurious and large. Beds comfortable and linen sparkling white. Very good hotel.
No reception have to get key from supermarket.
We were looking for a short break in Gower for us and our dog. This was perfect for us. Not fancy but spacious comfortable room huge bathroom friendly staff (managed by staff in supermarket) lovely village. Ideal for touring Gower. Breakfast available in supermarket cafe.
Room was basic but expected that as maybe this room set aside for dog people.
Lovely spacious room, excellent bathroom. Super king size bed!
Could have done with air con in room.
Clean, tidy big room
Did not service the room
Large room and bathroom, with tea and coffee making facilities. Staff in the supermarket were helpful, but didn't seem to have the authority to do much about complaints
Curtains are falling off the rails, difficult to pull shut. Water not hot enough. I'm not sure that the owner knows what he is running - he charges hotel prices, but does not offer hotel facilities - room not serviced during a 3 night stay.
Very poor management. Access via supermarket staff (very helpful), but they were not trained to deal with residents. ie key card not working, having to wait outside for someone to remedy. No answers to telephone or e-mails - unable to leave messages. Administration needs looking at urgently.
Large bedroom. Nice village with all facilities plenty of places in the area to eat.Could have been cleaner and spot lights in bathroom didn't work. Chairs in room uncomfortable more suited for a reception area not for relaxing.
Not enough information on the web site about what was available in the room.E.g hairdryer tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, iron. The cooling equipment from the fridges in the shop below made a noise all night disturbing sleep. Too expensive for bed only would be nice to have breakfast included. Bed not comfortable and general lack of attention to furniture a bit wobbly.
Size, comfort and facilities of the room in an ideal spot for visiting the Gower coastal scenery.
Booking in/Arrival a little confusing
Location, large clean rooms, supermarket, pet friendly, salt marsh views.
Rooms are not serviced during stay
Manager rude and unhelpful. Other staff more friendly and helpful. First room very dirty and several facilities either missing or broken. Keyboard to room not working properly which meant being locked out of room several times over the four days. Room not cleared or bins emptied at all during whole stay. Charged for hotel prices but the property is not run as a hotel at all, shop assistance from adjoining shop have to oversea the hotel without any idea what to do!
