Staff very polite and willing to assist guests
I was only looking to get a cheap bed for the night and with that in mind that was what I got no frills Clean and tidy would go back if in the area again
Draughty window, broadband was not great, managed to muddle through emails eventually
Good food and good coffee
Dirty toilet, the receptionist was a bit rude.
Wi fi does not reach the higher floors
Very dirty Carpet Squeeky Bed
Space. Breakfast: full English included. Bathroom.
4am street noise. Cuppa available from 7am.
We couldn't connect to wi-fi it just wouldn't work even thou they kept on saying it does, they was only one shower room which was downstairs and one toilet that we all had to share on our floor
Location, good value for money
The mattress is very uncomfortable!
I have stayed here on numerous occasions & great value for money. The rooms are clean, the staff friendly, a good cooked breakfast with the option of the continental for starters for the hungry. Location is 3 mins to Railway Station, 5 Mins to Victoria Park & 10 Mins to Shopping Malls on foot.
Place was clean, room what you would expect for the price. Central location, ideal for a small weekend visit. Staff/ owners very friendly and accomodating. Didn't have breakfast or a shower so can't comment on that. Shower room separate to toilet so don't have to queue (one shower on our floor). About average for the price.
Locks on rooms / bathrooms weren't exactly modern, probably secure enough but wouldn't like to test it. One toilet on our floor didn't have a sink or any sort of cleanliness option (antibacterial gel etc) The other had a sink, no drying facilities (even a towel). Breakfast stops at 8.30, so after a couple of late nights it wasn't an option for us.
The location is perfect and the staff is easy-going and friendly.
The comfort of the bed, the appeal of the furniture, the noise of the reception telefone during the night. My room's door was producing noise due to the air compression exerted by the corridor door, a soon as it was being opened by other guests.
Grafton House is in central Leicester with the Railway station only 3mins walk, Victoria Park 5mins walk & central shopping/leisure facilities only 10 mins walk. Staff are very friendly, rooms are clean. The full breakfast is good with the option of the continental if still hungry :-) This is the second time I have booked here in the last couple of weeks. I have used Bookers.com for travels as far as Vietnam & highly recommend the B&B.
Very meticulouslying tidy and clean
My mattress was bit saggy..
Put it in perspective - for the amount you're paying, for a city centre hotel, I was very happy. Staff were friendly, room was adequate, and although shared facilities, they were very close to the room, and I was always able to use them. For a "contractor" B&B, or quick stopover (I was there a week, it was more than adequate), I defy anyone to come up with a better value option. (Oh, and despite what others may say, WiFi worked fine for me!)
Reviewers that have moaned for the sake of it!! 1. No plug - either take your own, or just ask!! Only reason they're not left in the sink is they've been flooded more than once by drunken idiots falling asleep with the tap running!! 2. Decor - yes, it could do with a bit of a refurb, but if you want 5* hotel, then pay 5* prices!! 3. No kettle - free drinks made on request, what more do you want? Or, do like me, take your own kettle - not rocket science!! 4. NOT noisy, dirty, no bugs, and staff are very friendly and helpful. If you're going to leave a review, at least tell the truth!!
Very clean, comfortable bed, breakfast included
No visitors allowed, not even for 5 minutes in plain day while you get in to grab an umbrella. There's a curfew at 11.30pm and they will give you the keys to get in for a £10 deposit, so rememer to ask for that if you plan on staying out till late.
The Hotel was clean and staff very friendly. The location is very central and the manager went out of his way to accommodate me with a car parking space. Will definitely use this hotel again,
Nothing for the price
Enjoyed the welcoming of the staff. Always available to meet your needs, friendly and polite.. Location was very good not too far from the station. Breakfast was well cooked.
Only issue I had which I hope will be sorted for my next trip is the WiFi Internet.. Which is crucial for my trip. It didn't work at all. I was told it had a problem which was fair on the staff.
Woman who worked there was extremely rude
The staff was helpful. The room (number 6) was spacious and warm. The breakfast was good and very welcome. The shared bathroom facilities were absolutely fine.
Bed bugs! That was the main issue. Although the linen was nice, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable due to springs that dug in to your back. There is a permanent gap in the window so that there is absolutely no sound proofing of the noise from the street (which includes cars, drunk people on a night out and loud party from downstairs). The wrestler stickers on the wardrobe were tacky but not a real issue. Dirty carpet. Coming away with bed bug bites was the real deal breaker.
Location, price, excellent breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff. Parking available.
No towel provided. No plug for wash basin in room.
The staff were amazing, they were really lovely and friendly and breakfast was just delicious! The bed was really comfortable, I slept really well.
