Staff very helpful. Breakfast great. Very good value overall.
Pet-friendly. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Our room was larger than expected with a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. Delicious food at both dinner and breakfast - and good sized portions
The car park is tiny - but there is plenty of parking in the wide streets to the front and side of the hotel. Some noise from traffic on the road at the front of the hotel which could disturb some guests.
Nice big room, Very clean. Good Bathroom. Good restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Room overlooks busy main road and the noise of empty HGVs passing at high speed goes on all night. Busy bus stop below our window with taxis when buses stopped running - gathering point for drunks - Very noisy and not at all restful.
I was upgraded to a double room. The staff were helpfull and polite, nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
The room that I was allocated only had a small shower cubicle.
Friendliness of the staff. Perfect for breaking our journey on route to North West Scotland. Would use again for a similar trip in the future
Unfortunate cooking fat smells from the kitchen

Probably could do with a little TLC here and there.

Friendliness Lovely room
Noise from traffic and locals who were outside till early hours.
cant think of anything the description of the place was good, it was a lovely old building, that is why we were interested in staying there.
our room was the pits, No 6 the quilt was so grubby that i went out to the car and unwrapped a new quilt cover i had bought and used that to cover us, I inched all night, and actually squashed 2 tiny things with wings i do not know what they were. The kettle was also grimy therefore i made no coffee in the room, just waited till morning and left not even trying the breakfast.
We have been to this hotel several times and have been more than happy on each visit.
Food in the restaurant was great plus the selection of beers on offer. Staff were really friendly, room was basic but comfortable.
