All staffs are alway nice and friendly.
Location perfect. Price reasonable
Reception and restaurant area lovely. Bedrooms need a bit of thiught, good size room but small wardrobe and only one bedside table. Shame manager overslept Saturday morni g and as we wanted breakfast ar 8 as needed to get home the fact that he turned up at 8.45 and not very apologetic was not good
It was a great stay. The staff were friendly, attentive and flexible.
Very easy booking process , staff pleasant , room clean , breakfast excellent
Some rooms have to overlook busy roads , I got one ! Burton wakes up at 6am with heavy lorries in and out of the massive brewery almost next door. It's an observation not a complaint ! Great place to stay regardless.
an excellent welcome, home made food small personnal attentions very close to Molson (50 yards…)
beware of the old windows on the street, it makes the room noisy.
Cheap and cheerful. Close to town centre for shops and restaurants. Great free wi-fi and free parking.
situated on cross-road which can be a bit noisy from traffic and night-time pedestrians.
Friendly staff Good value Central Location
The host was very friendly and attentive and knew a lot about the history of the town The breakfast was quick and very tasty It was an ideal location for a wedding we attended
Very noisy outside the window, particularly when we stayed as it was student night. The bed was quite small
very friendly, kind staff, nice and convenient location (only a couple of minutes from burton station, just in front of sainsbury). clean and tidy room, toilet, bar, shower room. i was comfortable and i can recommend everyone chose this accommodation.
How small the door was as kept banging my head entering and exiting my room
Room clean & modern, I had the double with en suite which was very good
Breakfast started too late to take part at 7.30
Good size room. Fab. en-suite. Breakfast lovely. Staff really helpful and friendly, especially Brian. Looking at booking again later in the year with a group of friends.
No mattress protector on beds. That's about it, can't think of anything major at all.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Location is good for Brewery Centre and local shops Comfortable bed Large room Breakfast was good with plenty of choice Manager very knowledgable about area and very helpful
Good parking, friendly welcome, value for money excellent breakfast, quiet at the back of the hotel
pool table needs levelling
Excellent service from Brian and his staff. Couldn't do enough for us. Booked / arranged our taxis, let us use his fridge for storing some proper oatcakes!! Already booked for next year.
Nothing really. Suited what we needed.
Friendly service Good Location (for our purpose) Free parking
No air conditioning ( did not bother too jmuch as the days were not super hot)
The breakfast was a good sized portion unlike the small plates you tend to get at most hotels or bnbs. Staff were bright, friendly and chatty genuinely made you feel welcome. Dining/pub area had nice decore.
There was loud music being played from somewhere during night. Was hot so had to have window open and unfortunately listen to it.
I really enjoyed my stay its the best service and most welcome ive been made in any hotel ive stayed in the uk. Only beaten by 5* resorts in new zealand. Service was better than 5* places ive stayed in birmingham.
The hotel was very central to where we needed to be. The rooms were comfortable & the staff were pleasant.
Manager was really friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Room was spacious. Bed was spacious and comfortable. Wi-fi was welcome. Well situated for nearby attractions and town centre facilities.
The room was dated and dusty, needed a good clean in all the areas outside the main traffic-way. The bath had not been properly cleaned (old soap stuck to it) and the outside panel was broken (fixed with gaffer tape!). Shower fitting provided but would only be possible to use it sitting in the bath as there was no fitting or shower curtain fitted. The existing photo of the hotel is nothing like it's appearance now!
location to town
no hot water in room.lights not working.cold shower
Manager very helpfull
The doors into rooms very low kept banging my head lol. Then again people were smaller back in 1835
Friendly staff Good traditional food & good portions
Pleasant old world feel
Tinned tomatoes at breakfast not appealing
