Pat and John did everything they could for us from getting us taxis to feeding us a very enjoyable stay

The Hotel is well situated for a variety of locations in the area, giving a great hub to make journeys from. Grains Bar Staff were the most welcoming people you could hope for, making you feel like friends rather than travellers. The rooms were ample size for our needs and the setups for each room were exactly as requested. We were a Cricket Team visiting the area and the staff made our stay comfortable and accommodated our bar needs fully too. If I was travelling with just my family, I'd definitely choose this Hotel as it's quiet, clean and very well laid out. Will be visiting again!

Having to leave at the end of our Stay!!

Warm friendly welcome in a beautiful setting. Set in wonderful countryside with spectacular views. close to numerous places of interest and at the same time close to Manchester.

The only thing we would have preferred was a comfy chair in the room.

The owner and staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel was excellent value for money. Lovely location.

Was missing a small fridge in the room, beds a bit hard.

Heating broke down twice Room was like a deep-freeze in the middle of a cold snap heating also turns off at pre-programmed times

Pleasant room/bed and a very good-value breakfast.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone without their own transport-bus service a bit sparce on a Sunday!

Convenience, location reasonably priced

Th only point I would like to mention is that I have stayed there a number of times (abount 6) and have always booked via an on-line site, On two occassions the on-line booking has not been registered although on both occassions there was room available so it didn't turn out that there was a problem but there is a risk,

The location is great with good views, not far out of Oldham town centre and lots of great walks around. Hotel is friendly and the full english was really good. I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again or to recommend it to other people.

quite and peacefull

The owners were very friendly. The views were beautiful. The room was nice and comfortable.

The walls were very thin so you could hear everything going on around you - even the conversation happening in the next room. Not very good for privacy.

the staff are friendly and helpfull rooms clean and comfortable even though they was busy and full rooms they made time for everyone left the following morning happy with the nicely cooked breakfast and relaxed.took time to take in the great views of the moors rolling hills .

you would have to be demanding and awkward to find fault

The bed was very comfortable but I was far too hot with the duvet on and too cold without with the result that I kept waking up because I was too hot/cold.
