The Grampian Hotel is immaculate, very comfortable and the quality toiletries provided is a lovely touch. We had a lovely view over the Tay from our room and Heather made us and our elderly greyhound very welcome. We will be back.
Initially we weren't quite sure where to go for breakfast on our first morning ... just a little thing.
My room My bed The breakfast The location Friendly Host
The room was spacious, light, clean, warm and modern and the bed was comfy. We were using public transport so were pleased that there was a bus stop right outside.
Use of ground floor room with direct access to car parking; huge bed, friendly host and excellent breakfast.
Wooden floor (too noisy when the dog prowls around in the night !) ... everything else was great !
Amazing views from a beautiful property with period features. The hostess was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. Would come again.
Loved the room -spacious, great décor - could have sat by the bay window all day - great view over the river and watching the light planes land at Riverside. Also the staff were brilliant, as was the breakfast. Thanks, Heather
nothing we didn't like
Room size and cleanliness. Location was convenient
Shower was poor and could not be regulated .road noise persisted throughout the night
We were given a lovely room on the ground floor with our own door leading out to the back courtyard which was great as we had our dog with us.
Heather, the manager, treated us like very special guests. When she heard one of us coughing, she made us honey/lemon tea.
WiFi signal was very weak.
Allowed our pet inside Room was clean and comfortable Wifi was OK up in the room Coffee(instant) and Tea in room
Very flexible in allowing us to check in very late- key left in a safe place. Beautiful room and view. Very comfortable and excellent facilities!
We didn't have milk in our room which may be down to 2 things, maybe I had to collect it fresh from the dining room which I was too lazy to do or the cleaner forgot to put the little UHT pots in the tray. Definitely not the end of the world but if you love a cuppa in the morning double check this! I'm sure if I couldve been bothered to get out of the comfy bed I would've been supplied with milk but the room was too nice to leave!
Staff (Especially Heather) Location - peaceful yet close to all Ambience - Real Scottish flavour Views across the Silvery Tay Very close to Botanic Gardens
Lovely stay, just on the outskirts. Buses right outside the door though, and a 10/15 minute walk into town. Everyone very friendly. Staff very much so.. Would definitely recommend.
WiFi needs an extender. Worked in toilet but not in room...
Easy to walk into the city center.Absolutely beautiful accommodation and Heather was warm and charming. We would love to visit again from Australia. Will be recommending to friends .
Had a fantastic welcome from Heather and stayed in a gorgeous room. Couldn't fault it at all!
Wi-fi is not super fast.
The accommodations were clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel was beautiful and charming with a spectacular stained glass window leading up to the room. The view of the Tay River and surrounding area from the room was stunning. Heather was gracious and helpful when it came to explaining how to get around Dundee. The hotel is located close enough to the main thoroughfare to place most of one's needs (restaurants, coffee houses, quicky marts, etc.) within easy walking distance, yet far enough away to be in a quiet residential neighborhood. I will have other occasions to visit Dundee and I will certainly be staying at the Grampian Hotel again.
The only aspect that can be considered a negative is that Guests staying on the second floor may need to go downstairs to get good WiFi connectivity. As I was relaxing and trying to avoid being contacted, this was not a big problem for me.
Grampian is a beautiful old house on the west side of Dundee. It is a small family business. Very comfortable room with elegant decoration and very nice view! Delicious homemade breakfast! The hotel is not very centrally located, but it is definitely in the most beautiful part of the city. What is really notable is the friendliness of the owner! Heather is so nice, friendly and always willing to help! I would definitely stay there again and I recommend Grampian Hotel to everyone.
Friendly Staffs Excellent location Clean
Weak Wifi reception in room
Heather great. Room terrific and large with a lovely view of the River Tay.

my only gripe is their was no toilet roll holder in the on suite, a minor thing i know, but still a basic requirement in the toilet
