Gramsford Lodge  

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was a good size and clean, the view was beautiful.

The windows were old and made a whistling noise from the wind. However we were informed aboit this at check in.

Based on the sea-front next door but 1 to a family pub offering good meal deals which was very handy for us. Polite and helpful staff...basic rooms which were reflected in the price, all in all a comfortable stay and will be returning next year.

The radiator/pipes in our room sounded like an aeroplane landing every 20 minutes!! very noisy!!

the guests were really nice to get along with...... I stayed at the sea view room and it was brilliant in the morning when looking out of the window, the showers were good at well, and clean toilet.

not much really bad to say apart from 2 soft pillows in bed HOWEVER my personal choice

Clean, excellent room with best prices friendly staff.

There was no hair dryer on room.

We were a stag party of 11. The gramsford is well located on the front. The manchester pub a few doors up was a great laugh. For what we paid this hotel was excellent value for money. Rooms were clean and staff friendly and patient. We had a great time and I wouldnt hesitate to stay again.

As long as you don't go expecting the ritz, for what you pay, you can't fault this place

The staff were very friendly, they e-mailed us the evening prior to our stay, to enquire if we had any requirements, which I thought was a nice touch. I would recommend this hotel, excellent value

The hotel is going through a refurbishment and the reception area was in the middle of being re-decorated, which could not really be helped but did look a bit of an eyesore, and I'm sure will be finished very soon.

Staff friendly enough to start with

Staff weren't around in the.morning had to leave keys in door room. Got accused and overcharged would not recommend

The lady I met was brilliant, she gave me information of what I needed and was very helpful with the questions I had also the room I had was lovely I woke up to sea view

Nothing was terrible but I could hear everyone walking up and down the stairs and people closing doors that was hard to sleep in. Also if I didn't have the sea view room I wouldn't have liked it as the other rooms were small.

The warm, friendly welcome - The excellent breakfast! The relaxed atmosphere - The quirky house and surroundings - the interesting conversations - in other words, everything.;

Nothing to say here - we enjoyed every minute of our stay - Jose is still talking about it, and my granddaughter is asking if we can come in the summer AS WELL as at illuminations time - hope we can manage it. Iris

The Hotel was cheap n cheerful...and nice and clean.

Tacky, dirty appearance. Room cheap looking and dirty. Very noisy (staff) Paper thin walls, you could here all bathroom activity. The whole experience put a downer on our break.

Great value for money. Really enjoyed my stay and will be using again.

Breakfast finishes at 9.30........I like a lie in when on holiday.

Quality of rooms a disappointment, no wardrobe in our room, which was classed as superior. Also a small room for a double.

The staff were lovely,very friendly and welcoming, let us leave our luggage whilst waiting for coach. Very clean and was cheap but was more than what we had expected! Going back in July =]

Room was abit small but we did ask for the small double room! Needs updating but we was told it was being decorated!

The sheets and towels were very nice. Good tea and coffee. Clean bathroom.

Tea tray with kettle on it,right at side of bed,dangerous!. Didn't dust well. We upgraded for extra money and still had 4 flights of stairs. Also stripped walls in main entrance.

The staff were very friendly; we were greeted with a warm welcome and a hot drink while the hotel owner, Kim, sorted out our reservation. We were also offered a discount if we stay with them for another trip in the future, which is much appreciated. The room was small (which we expected as we booked the "small double room"!) but comfortable with all the facilities you would expect. The location of the hotel was excellent - right opposite the beach and a short walk from the central pier. A lovely place to stay for a budget break!

Staff were really nice. All bedding and towels were clean room was warm and comfortable vakue for money and basic

The breakfast really let the place down. It was cheap bacon and sausages which were under cooked and salty. The mushrooms were tinned and it just wasn't very edible for £5.99! Better cooked breakfast is a must!

i liked that it was on the promenade and that it was only a 10 minute walk to the tower. I also liked the homeliness of the b&b, and i liked all the ornamental objects that were there (i.e. the cabinet full of silver)

i didn't like the fact i didn't have much of a view, also i only had two very thin pillows, also my bathroom door didn't shut properly

Very welcoming hotel/b&b. Great service from staff and owners. Fantastic breakfast. Certainly coming back again.

i liked the host , who was really plesent & friendly, i would stay there again , without hesitation. it was a lovley homely hotel.

the only problem i had , was , that i have bad knees , & withbooking late i did have to go up 3 flights of stairs. i will book earlier next time .

Totally lovely hosts. Make you feel so welcome. Breaking was lovely worth the extra money. location for the clubs and bars good.

Stairs that's only because after a few drinks it is rather an effort to get to the top floor.

loved our room had evey thing we needed and a lovely view of the beach you could sit at the the window where there was a table and chairs with a cuppa and watch the trams go by.wee had biscuites and tea and coffee put in our room evey day it was a nice touch.

if you wanted to smoke you had to go out side which was fine but when it was raining it was not so good even if they had a canopy or had some unbrelas at the door would have help
