Lovely rooms- Amazing fireplace and the breakfast was awesome!
Enjoyed our stay and we had a welcome cup of tea and cake. The lounge could be used with an open fire, it was very comfortable. Our room was in the annex which was very comfortable and had all the amenities. Good fresh breakfast made from fresh local produce.
There were four couples staying together and the lady of the house wanted us to stagger breakfast every 15 minutes so a fresh breakfast could be prepared but we said we didn't mind waiting as we could chat at the same time. This could be a problem for some people but it worked for us.
Maddie the perfect hostess. The elegance of the house and its surroundings. The delicious breakfast. The convenience for Bradford on Avon and access to Bath.
The bed could have been a bit more comfortable but we are very fussy about beds, being "in the business" .
We had a very warm welcome with a cup of tea and homemade cake by the fire. The room was very spacious and clean with good en suite facilities.. Breakfast was amazing, loads to eat including freshly made little cakes which was a nice touch. Easy access to bath and Bradford on Avon, we recommend this B & B.
Great place, beautiful room, large bathroom, wonderful breakfast. Really interesting building with an interesting history. Tourists to England will love how 'traditional' it is and steeped in history.
Check out time was too early (10am on a Sunday!!) I like to lie in on Sundays :( Breakfast was also early
On arrival we were shown into the guests lounge with a roaring log fire and offered a pot of tea and home made cake.
Large room nicely decorated... Staff friendly nice views.
Room cold due to unit in front of radiatio
Grand home, amazing breakfast, all the treats in the room- thank you! Great shower. Stunning dining room with music and fire in the background-amazing. The interior and the town of Bradford-Upon-Avon. Great stay.
Similar to other B&B's hard to find signage-wasn't sure if I had the right property. Didn't affect my great stay though!
Excellent, a bit of luxury. And a wonderful breakfast. Very hospitable. Just lovely
Everything - Maddie's hospitality and friendliness. Beautiful house and location - can walk into Bradford on Avon. Lovely clean room and very comfortable bed. Great breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
Nothing to dislike
The warm, personal welcome. The tea and cake on arrival. The decanter of sherry in the bedroom (refilled each day). The spacious accommodation.
Sadly, the central heating radiators in the room didn't work (the valves needed fixing) and the TV signal was erratic, as the cable needed sorting out. All things that can easily be remedied.
a warm welcome with tea and homemade cake which was very much appreciated. Hosts were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Room was very clean and bright. Decor was fabulous and stylish/chic. Breakfast was very good with homemade muffins. All set in beautiful grounds very quiet and secluded. Will certainly return again.
the only negative small as it is was that the earliest check in was not until 4pm but we were aware of this when booking
The property was interesting, grand and secluded, yet close to the amenities we needed. We were there for a local family wedding and we had freedom to come and go as we needed. Both our rooms were extremely spacious and comfortable, and the welcome very warm.
There was nothing we didn't like!
Lovely room Good breakfast
Noisy boiler (or something like that) that went on and off all night Having to choose a time for breakfast
The charm, friendliness and attention to detail of the lady of the house. The room and house was immaculate and everything we might need had been thought of.
We struggled to find the house so we would have appreciated some external signage - especially on the main road. Also the bed was rather too firm for my wife.
My husband and I were blown away by Granby House. Stunning location, the rooms were beautiful. The owners were very accomidating (we broke down on route and arrived very late) and very friendly, with excellent local knoweldge. Granby House is ideally situated to visit Wiltshire and Somerset. Cannot recomend highly enough, we will certaintly be returning next year!
The place is very comfortable and clean. Very convenient for long stays (large rooms, garden, kitchen)
Take care: no breakfast
We received a very warm welcome and had a beautiful room in this very stylish home. We enjoyed breakfast in the elegant drawing room in front of an open fire. Would have liked to have stayed longer!
Room was rather cold initially. An electric heater was provided but was only switched on when we arrived.
Granby House is in its own peaceful acres just a 5 minute taxi ride from Bradford on Avon; the taxis to and from town were readily available. We received a warm country house welcome with tea in the elegant drawing room. Our twin room was very spacious and very comfortable. The owners welcomed us warmly and were very helpful with local information. A good breakfast.
Nothing, this was better than "advertised".
The welcome was lovely, I was in the house for 30 seconds and they offered me a cup of tea. They even put a mobile heater in my room while I was out, so I returned to a cosy room.
There was nothing that disappointed me about my stay at Granby.
No table to work on.
Very welcoming Large room Lovely bed Extra touches in the room
Maddie was the perfect host. Made us feel welcome and very privileged to share her beautiful home with her. Breakfast was wonderful, just the job to begin a day of exploring Bradford on Avon and Bath (which exceeded our expectations...beautiful places). All in all we enjoying every minute of our weekend away. We've recommended it to our friends is who are now planning a stay there.
Nothing...absolutely loved it
Nice warm welcome, Large rooms Comfortable bed Nice staff
