As I did not make the booking I had no idea what to expect for a two night stay in Bradford upon Avon. It was fabulous from the moment you turn into the driveway it is full of character-originality and uniqueness. The lounge is quite impressive with crackling open fire-lovely atmosphere-family mementos throughout. Maddy makes you feel so welcome as though you are visiting friends-mouth watering cooked breakfast-nothing is too much effort! Would I stay here again...without question!

Everything apart from the breakfast. Beautiful house, excellent host, lovely location, very clean.
Breakfast was quite poor. Could have done with nicer bacon and sausages and some beans.
Absolutely lovely house, beautifully furnished. Great breakfast. Pretty easy travel into Bath, and much cheaper than the city during the Jane Austen festival!
Everything. Beautiful house, lovely location.Very luxuriously furnished. Every need was catered for .Maddie was a wonderful hostess. Nothing was too much trouble for Her or any of the people helping out.
The house was grandly elegant with lovely grounds. A family house with lots of personal touches which made it feel cosy - loved the lounge with open fire and piano. Maddie was a cheerful and friendly host. The breakfast was excellent - her banana muffins really special. The double room we stayed in was huge and extremely comfortable. Loved watching the guinea fowl antics in the garden. We would stay there again if in the area.
Only a little niggle really - with all the glowing reports of being offered tea with excellent homemade cake on arrival, being only offered tea (although very gratefully received) maybe was a tiny bit disappointing.
A nice attractive building and outside grounds. Edwardian features and old-style furniture providing lots of character. A welcoming host. A big comfortable bed!
I found it difficult to get into the front door - but I did eventually manage to unlock it.
We stayed in The Magnolia Room. Wonderful. Plush. Beautifully decorated, the view is brilliant and the room was spacious . The bathroom was great and lacking nothing. Maddie made us feel most welcome. Bradford On Avon is one of the prettiest towns in England.. we cancelled our plans to go to Bath so we could see more of Bradford. Every street had something incredible to see, especially the Anglo-Saxon Church. Not sure if Maddie arranged it but we had the most wonderful storm. Thunder, lightening and pelting rain... being on the roof of the building we got the best seats in the house. Cannot fault Granby House in any way.
Granby House is the best B&B that I have ever experienced or can imagine. Maddy, the owner, is amazing, just a wonderful person to have met, and a very gracious hostess. The House is a true country estate. Our accommodations were spotless and spacious. The living room is beautifully furnished, comfortable and very large. A walk around the estate is a pleasure not to be missed.
It was a very peaceful relaxing location.
The annexe with private entrance. The location. The grandure of the house. The attention to detail from the owners. The breakfast.
The room and house
From arriving to departing everything was of an excellent quality and the lady of the house was a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble for her to deal with. When travelling in that area again I would not look for anywhere else to stay without contacting Granby House first.
There was nothing to dislike.
Everything. The place, the service, the cleanliness, the decoration, all the details, the elegance, the music during the breakfast...
Well appointed, clean room Wonderful proprietress Great breakfast Location
Welcoming tea and cake on arrival and little extras in the room. Owner very helpful with 'tourist advice'.
I liked everything about Granby House. There was nothing they could improve on. The staff were friendly, helpful and very easy to talk to. The location was wonderful, the grounds are really beautiful.
The location. Purely because I wanted to walk into the town without having to get in the car again.
Very pleasant hosts, good accommodation, comfortable bed and great breakfast. Beautiful old house in lovely grounds and right next to Bradford on Avon. The landlady recommended that we eat in the pub nearby and it proved to be an excellent recommendation.
Wireless in the room was a bit weak at times, but the landlady did explain that this might be a router problem and the connection elsewhere in the building was fine.
When checking in I was given a warm and welcome reception. The room was very spacious, clean and well decoated. It was a pleasant change to staying in chain hotel groups. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The Cottage in the grounds of the B&B was ideal for our weekend away. We chose the cottage for its location and reasonable price. We visited both Bath and Longleat and after our long days site seeing it was lovely to come home and be able to throw together simple meals in the well equiped kitchen. The cottage was perfect for the four of us and the garden is a wonderful bonus for sunny days. The Cottage is lovely, it's a shame there are no photos on here to show it off!!
Beautifully set in the middle of a park; quiet room; very warm welcome
