The view and the rooms
I can't say anything bad about this hotel
I liked the room size, style, décor, high standard of cleanliness. Loved the balcony. Loved that I didn't have to take a shower to just wash my hair, hose attachment plumbed in low side of bath, separate to shower cubicle.
The sound of the lift bell too loud, heard repeatedly from my room. No fridge in the room, would be nice to have just a tiny one would help to chill fresh milk for tea/coffee. Instructions for heating the room would help. Car Parking at £10 per day steep for guests.
We love the accessibility of everything. The pool is lovely and the bar very pleasant.
Friendly desk staff Clean room No noise Breakfast excellent
Spa - confusion over treatments booked. Eventually sorted / but treatment fell below standard expected (time and quality) Spa faculties - pool good. Jacuzzi - lacked any power - was in fact just a glorified warm bath.
The room was large and very clean
The bar area plus the food in the restursnt
location is good. close for shops and eating out.
bar staff attitude. breakfast delays
Reception friendly and helpful, breakfast quality good but not warm enough.
The lighting inroom was poor and maybe a little basic for four star.
Friendly staff, cleanliness of everywhere and location.
We had a meal at the bar which was not too good but didnt complain as everything else was spot on. A real shame but didnt spoil our stay.
The reception staff were welcoming and assertive. The fact you get good value for money. The location is helpful too. The room was clean and had everything you needed.
The bed I found slightly uncomfortable and having wheels on the bed meant everytime I got up it moved which was slightly annoying having to keep moving it back!
Lovely room and very attentive staff this time
Room on our second day still not made by 2 o'clock
Would have been nice to have double beds!!!
Huge bedroom , late checkout , good breakfast
Very pleasant staff. All we could have wanted in terms of facilities.
The room was comfortable enough for one night but for the price would have expected a bit more 'luxury'. A bit soulless and cool.
Comfortable,enthusiastic and friendly staff.
Restaurant was way understaffed, food was good but whole experience was marred by long wait between courses.complained and a reduction of 20% off food bill was offered
good location, presented well, good facilities, bar open until late
had to pay for parking, should be included in price
Staff were friendly and welcoming
Over priced and only average food...the dinning room had no atmosphere and felt more like a cafe. We would not eat there again.
Peace and quiet as we had just got married
Everything was good no dislikes
Bedroom temperature was just right. Most hotels are so hot.
Car park was confusing.
Good hotel ruined by fire alarm At 12.30 am. Sleep ruined. No explanation and no discount for inconvenience caused.
The hotel upgraded us without our requesting It was my 70th birthday and they really made it special with this gesture. The suite was amazing immaculate , and with brilliant views. Breakfast in the restaurant was wonderful all anyone could have wanted. My husband and I travel for business and this hotel beats some of the five star we have stayed whilst being in London and other places . The staff deserve a big thank you
Went for afternoon tea which was awful. Nothing like the other guests. Looked like the leftovers from a corporate lunch. Atrium leaking so ended up sitting in the bar on wet seats from leisure centre users under a TV showing sport. Classy. On a no smoking floor but people in adjoining room smoking so our room stank. Checked out without even having a shower. Worst ever stay in a hotel.
2 single beds and were unable to supply a double when asked
Bed and towels
Lighting poor within hotel room . The lack of vegatablea with the meals.
