My husband and myself liked the friendlyness, comfort, relaxation,pool/spa gym and that it was very central. There was not anything that we did not like about the hotel but, if i could just make a couple of comments, we could have been given more imformation as what there was to do @ where to eat when we asked ,@ also the deal in the brochure regarding the two nights stay with evening meals that was advertised between November 2009 and March 2010. |

The professionalism of the staff, the ambience of the hotel generally and the overall quality of the experience. Having to pay for car parking and the automatic assumption that you would contribute to charity. The latter is a personal thing and some people do not want this thrust on them only to be made to feel bad/wrong when it is declined. I would draw the anaolgy of having to de-select a holiday insurance on a travel website as it is almost as if the company trying to obtain moneys by your inability/haste such that you miss the fact that you have to deselect or end up paying for something you did not ask for in the first place! |

I was only in the hotel for about 8 hours but it was clean, comfortable and in a convenient location. I booked the hotel through an internet booking agency so the price was reasonable. However, I did note the standard room rate displayed at reception was £199 and I would not have stayed at this hotel if it had been £199. |

Easy parking. Reasonably spacious room. Breakfast buffet was straightforward and offered a wide choice. Useful fridge in room. Friendly and helpful staff. Duvet seemed clammy. Easy chairs in room not comfortable. |

The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms have really big towels and enough of them. The additional extras like cotton wool, tissues, soap that smells nice are a nice extra. The armchairs, the tea and coffee making facility, the iron etc. all go towards a very comfortable stay, together with very good staff. The food is not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. I only stay at this hotel because the facilities are good but the food either in the restaurant or room service is disappointing. To get the best of both worlds stay for the comfort but go out to eat. |

Check in was easy and the staff were very polite and helpful. We had a lovely room overlooking the water and a fantastic breakfast with very friendly staff in a lovely setting. I would recommend this hotel to friends. Only minor but the bed was too soft. |

Considering the last minute booking and the highly reasonable price, i thought the quality and cleanliness of the room and other facilities was excellent. The spa in particular was a favourite of ours during our short stay. The shower and bath facilities, although fit for purpose, were not as 'luxurious' as I thought they would be considering the overall quality of the hotel. |

Efficient bar service and friendly check in. Good choice of breakfast. Room did not seem to have been vacuumed. There were hair grips and crumbs on the floor when we arrived. Only bath towels supplied - no hand towels. |

Breakfast was a great experience, although slightly busier on the second day, we were seated as soon as possible. a telephone call to me only made it to reception - they denied all knowledge of me staying there. |

Proximity to City Centre and shopping areas. Comfortable room with good facilities. We obtained the room at a reduced rate, value for money would be an issue at the standard room rate. Long queue when booking out. No opening window in room. Patio door on to balcony had to be wedged open to allow in fresh air. |

Staff were very efficient. Spa was excellent Room service menu was very poor selection and very expensive. You cannot use a visa debit card as a 'tab' card. Very unhelpful as we could not put anything on the room bill, and room service told us we would have to pay cash for the food. |

Its waterfront location but well placed also for exploring Southampton. Very convenient to get to from the railway station and also plenty of parking space for those travelling by car I thought my room was beginning to look a bit jaded. I did not like the dirty, dusty skirting boards. The window would not close fully and properly (outside road noise at night) and there was no coffee except one decaff sachet on the refreshments tray. |
