Where the hotel is situated.. Breakfast.. Comfort of the room.. Friendly staff
Unfortunately we had a noisy neighbour for two of our nights stay!
Quality of room was good, bed comfy, in-room dining excellent and service excellent
Bathroom plug broken, TV remote didn't work well, small rooms with tiny windows.
Excellent location, good selection at breakfast, staff were very attentive & polite.
Room was small and dated, bed uncomfortable, better choice of bed linen for this time of year (summer)
The staff were all very friendly and courteous. The hotel is quite well located
Depending on the room allocated you could (like us) be right next to a building project adjacent to the hotel. Work starts very early. TV reception is abysmal. Food at breakfast is very good although no changes whatsoever. However we twice booked Victorias and both times it was a disaster. Ist evening we waited over an hour for our main course and on the second, despite being there at 7,30 one of the mains was already off the menu even although there were few diners. We also tried to sign in to BA using the free wifi and pc before heading for the airport but the line is signalled as insecure and we had to abandon our attempt. Internally the hotel looks a bit tired.
The front of house staff were all friendly and helpful.
Torn bedspreads, cracked walls, blocked drain in shower and a Spa hotel that shuts it's pool all day for routine maintenance! Not a 5 star hotel
Beautuful. Hotel very sympathathetic to older peeps
An exceptionally good Hotel set in an ideal location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would go back.
Bathroom was looking a bit tired.
We stayed for a weekend and enjoyed the experience. The bed was comfortable and the staff very accommodating.
We spent six days here in a deluxe sea view room; a perfect place to relax with the most professional, polite and attentive staff we have encountered anywhere. We thoroughly recommend Grand Jersey; we shall certainly be back. Perfect position, fabulous food and total comfort, who can ask for more of a holiday.
Having to leave! !!
Swimming excellant breakfast excellant concerge excellant
Furniture in bedroom very dated mold in bathroom room rather small to many cushions throw on bed more a danger iron burnt ruined dress for wedding expected better for money paid
The staff were friendly and very helpful
The hotel was on a main road which was noisy all through the night. Hotel needed upgrading as the rooms had definitely seen better days.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was lovely (good quality). The view of the sea was fantastic and a lot of thought had clearly gone in to the extra details in the room. Very pleasant stay all round!
Although we had a lovely stay it cost around £500 for 2 nights. So although everything was lovely I wouldn't suggest this was the best value for money. I'm not sure it had the extra sparkle I would expect for that money. But that said I have no specific complaints and we had a lovely stay!
Location is great in terms of being near the town and facilities but also on a busy road Champagne lounge is very relaxing with a great view All staff are excellent Spa facilities are good
Parking is very minimal Turndown service not five star service
Bedroom was large and quiet with the most comfortable beds. Best nights sleep we have enjoyed on holiday for as long as I can remember. Lounge well stocked daily with choice of newpapers.
Prices for the restaurants were too high in our opinion. Better value available elsewhere.
Very attentive staff, always helpful and looking to help from room maid to concierge, reception to wiaters/waitresses. Room was luxurious and peaceful/ All in all, a very good experience.
Can't think of anything that we were not delighted with.
Good size room and bathroom, water in fridge every day Lots of staff - mostly pleasant and helpful but sometimes too much Good fresh fruit and bread at breakfast
Dull decor in bedroom Pool in basement with no natural light, difficult to find first time, no direct access from changing room to pool Hot breakfast buffet - Luke warm tough, bacon, inedible hash browns - probably as you'd expect for food that's been hanging around a while Outdoor area looks good on photos but is actually on very busy main road - and food offered there not very good
Fantastic stay, perfect location, clean hotel, staff very accommodating to your needs, lovely spa and great that it didn't cost extra. Loved Jersey....we will return.
Location is close to St Helier. Staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfasts were beautiful and the choice was excellent. Spa facilities and treatments were gorgeous - well worth a visit.
The view out of the inland rooms was of some kind of large mechanical system, perhaps air conditioning or heating equipment - we weren't sure. The windows have been frosted but this doesn't help when you want them open. This was bearable but the frequent mechanical noise coming from the machinery woke us up at various points during the early hours. We received some compensation and an apology, but the hotel needs to consider how to minimise the sound issues in particular. We would stay at the hotel again but would definitely pay extra for a park or sea view.

The hotel is looking a bit tired
Booked and stayed for 3 nights with breakfast . Arrived early on first day and had breakfast but left early on the last day before canteen open. So had breakfast 3 times but not on the last day. Was surprised I was charge for one day breakfast when in fact I had breakfast for 3 says. Staff on grand won't even listen. It is not a fair deal. Embarrassing :-)
The staff were all attentive and in particular those working in the resturant serving breakfast.
Room with frosted glass and no view.
arrogance of some staff and constant drone of ventilation system even when double glazed windows closed
The bed only...
Tv that had terrible reception. The clueless staff on allergy's. Ridiculously expensive and poor in house restaurant meal. GO TO TGIF less than half price and cater for any allergies. The bath that could not be used as a bath, clearly nothing is ever checked for faults. The noise from the recycling machines right outside the window. No sound proofing whatsoever, movement from any surrounding room and hallway. Very noisy air conditioning, to hot to leave off and like a lawnmower when it was on. You expect some things from a '5*' but a rubbish stay was not one of them! at £143 per night / excluding breakfast. You have been warned.
Possibly greater variety of fresh fruit for Breakfast
