We enjoyed every bit of our stay, the staff were so helpful and welcoming. The room was amazing and catered for our every need! The spa was also lovely.
The beds were a bit uncomfortable, needed new mattresses.
50Mb Wifi limit!
Size of room Friendliness of all staff Little included extras - bottles of water, storage of luggage on day of departure, PC & printer
Busy road outside of the hotel
Location was good with restaurants etc not too far away. View over Elizabeth Castle was lovely and we enjoyed gorgeous sunsets as we had a seaview room.
Breakfasts not up to 5* standard Hotel getting a little worn and tired not just what it should be. It is pushing it to class it 4*. Air conditioning worked well but it was very loud and the heated towel rail in bathroom was dangerous it was so hot, this created a lot of heat and weather was still very good so this resulted in room getting very warm overnight.
Very attentive staff, nice new bedlinen and towels, good breakfast buffet, excellent concierge service, good location
Disco from wedding prevented sleep on first night, lift not clean, bar furniture looking worn, given ice in drink not asked for, found pasta in porridge, midges in dining room
Well located Hotel close to all local amenities, shops, transport, etc. with a nice outlook over the coast and Elizabeth Castle. Good staff always looking to add value to your stay. Clean, tidy, with good in-house facilities. Good quality food served for both breakfast and dinner with good value.
Everything, Very impressed with the building, location and all the staff Excellent variety of food , Staff very willing Lovely swimming pool
Good Room Space, function room & public areas. Views and outdoor bar area overlooking seafront.
Very poor lighting, couldn't see in wardrobe area or self in full length mirror, very few TV channels which kept breaking up. Bath panels needing painted/replaced
Attentiveness of all staff Excellent Spa facilities and superb treatment
Where the hotel is situated.. Breakfast.. Comfort of the room.. Friendly staff
Unfortunately we had a noisy neighbour for two of our nights stay!
Quality of room was good, bed comfy, in-room dining excellent and service excellent
Bathroom plug broken, TV remote didn't work well, small rooms with tiny windows.
Excellent location, good selection at breakfast, staff were very attentive & polite.
Room was small and dated, bed uncomfortable, better choice of bed linen for this time of year (summer)
The staff were all very friendly and courteous. The hotel is quite well located
Depending on the room allocated you could (like us) be right next to a building project adjacent to the hotel. Work starts very early. TV reception is abysmal. Food at breakfast is very good although no changes whatsoever. However we twice booked Victorias and both times it was a disaster. Ist evening we waited over an hour for our main course and on the second, despite being there at 7,30 one of the mains was already off the menu even although there were few diners. We also tried to sign in to BA using the free wifi and pc before heading for the airport but the line is signalled as insecure and we had to abandon our attempt. Internally the hotel looks a bit tired.
The front of house staff were all friendly and helpful.
Torn bedspreads, cracked walls, blocked drain in shower and a Spa hotel that shuts it's pool all day for routine maintenance! Not a 5 star hotel
Beautuful. Hotel very sympathathetic to older peeps
An exceptionally good Hotel set in an ideal location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would go back.
Bathroom was looking a bit tired.
We stayed for a weekend and enjoyed the experience. The bed was comfortable and the staff very accommodating.
We spent six days here in a deluxe sea view room; a perfect place to relax with the most professional, polite and attentive staff we have encountered anywhere. We thoroughly recommend Grand Jersey; we shall certainly be back. Perfect position, fabulous food and total comfort, who can ask for more of a holiday.
Having to leave! !!
Swimming excellant breakfast excellant concerge excellant
Furniture in bedroom very dated mold in bathroom room rather small to many cushions throw on bed more a danger iron burnt ruined dress for wedding expected better for money paid
The hotel facilities were great and the staff go out of their way to help. The quality of the food was excellent although the portion size of the a la carte menu in the Michelin starred restaurant was insubstantial and better suited to a tasting menu where more courses are served. I would also have expected the setting to be more ambient and to allow greater privacy (the tables were so close together I could hear the conversations going on at the tables either side of ours). The service was also unbearably slow taking almost 2 hours to serve just 2 courses.
The wifi connection was very slow and the free allocation provided was not sufficient for even moderate browsing. We have stayed at this hotel previously, some 3 years ago and I was surprised that no improvements have been made to the weak television signal, making it almost impossible to enjoy any programmes on any of the main channels.
The staff were friendly and very helpful
The hotel was on a main road which was noisy all through the night. Hotel needed upgrading as the rooms had definitely seen better days.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was lovely (good quality). The view of the sea was fantastic and a lot of thought had clearly gone in to the extra details in the room. Very pleasant stay all round!
Although we had a lovely stay it cost around £500 for 2 nights. So although everything was lovely I wouldn't suggest this was the best value for money. I'm not sure it had the extra sparkle I would expect for that money. But that said I have no specific complaints and we had a lovely stay!
Location is great in terms of being near the town and facilities but also on a busy road Champagne lounge is very relaxing with a great view All staff are excellent Spa facilities are good
Parking is very minimal Turndown service not five star service
Bedroom was large and quiet with the most comfortable beds. Best nights sleep we have enjoyed on holiday for as long as I can remember. Lounge well stocked daily with choice of newpapers.
Prices for the restaurants were too high in our opinion. Better value available elsewhere.
Very attentive staff, always helpful and looking to help from room maid to concierge, reception to wiaters/waitresses. Room was luxurious and peaceful/ All in all, a very good experience.
Can't think of anything that we were not delighted with.
