I took my wife away for our last weekend break away before our first baby is born and I have to say we were very disappointed. We had a suite, as soon as we entered it was obvious the room hadn't been used for a while as it was very dusty, dull and very old dated. The bath took forty five minutes to fill and was also very dated. We could hear every conversation the room next door had and also had the pleasure of hearing a full blown argument at 3am. The room was very noisy from the road traffic. This is not a 5 star hotel personally I believe its 3/4 star. There are much nicer hotels in Jersey such as the Spa which is a true 5 star hotel and The Radisson and Royal Yacht are also lovely hotels.

Instant coffee in the room facilities, definitely not 5 star. Breakfast understaaffed on Sunday morning. I shouldn't have to leave my table to seek out someone to top up my coffee cup.

A pleasant hotel offering good value for money. The fine dinning restaurant wasn't the best experiance when opting for the wine package.

The staff were excellent, very helpful and attentive. The colour scheme was calm and relaxing. The bedrooms were very dusty, as if they hadn't dusted at all - all year. The bathroom was big enough to house a shower, but they put a shower curtain in and when the door was closed, the shower on and the curtain drawn it stuck to you and I kept bashing my arms on the grab rails - only having about 15inches width of shower between rail and curtain to have a shower.

Handy for town / shops. Very disappointed in Tassili restaurant, complete rip-off. Scallops in starter had been cut in half, ridiculously small portions and poor menu choices. Dull little dining room. Breakfast buffet, food luke warm and scrambled eggs always runny and undercooked. Windows in bedroom filthy and covered in bird droppings. Spa and swimming pool dark and gloomy. Overall a dark and dreary hotel and certainly not my idea of five star.

We both love the impressive service at the Grand Jersey and the Spa is an outstanding attraction. Rooms are well equipped and nothing is too much bother to attend to guests' comfort. The Cocktail Lounge is a lovely spot to relax with a pre-prandial drink or nightcap. Town is close enough to walk into. Seaview from room was superb. Peaceful and refined hotel with modern facilties but with the old charm remaining, setting it apart form the corporate feel of some other hotels in St Helier. We swapped from the Radisson after 3 nights there as previous stays at the Grand proved it was more to our liking! Although we did not dine at the hotel we could not fault the breakfast. Young Elita was so helpful, finding placing some honey the next morning after there was none on the buffet on the previous day. Thank you again Elita! All in all a super break. Parking can be a problem at weekends but the concierge kindly took our keys and found us a space.

We really enjoyed the spa. The room was comfortable. The food in Victoria's was excellent. The wine list was great! The wine waitress was also very knowledgable of her products and offered us tastes without obligation. Overall we were treated well and left relaxed. We were celebrating my Husband's forthcoming Birthday and some child-free time!!

I think the staff were and have always been very pleasant and helpful. Rooms are also very comfortable although quite dark due to the dark wood furniture. For a prestigious hotel, the service did not meet expectations. I ordered brealfast room service twice and both times was late by 20 minutes and therefore did not have much time to eat my breakfast. I aslo ordered room service for dinner twice and must say the chef was very accomodating to making me sides that were not on the menu. However, the two main courses ordered from the mains were not much to be desires and bland. I hade the mushroom ravioli and the pizza on both evenings. The pizza wa dripping in fat and also have soo much cheese on it that I ended up not eating and removing the cheese. Was very sickly!

Went to Jersey with friends and family as a birthday treat for me to watch Jersey play rugby. Chose the Grand as I've been to the island many times but never stayed there. I wasn't disappointed. It is a lovely hotel. From the minute we stepped through the revolving doors the staff made us feel special. Loved every minute. Buffet breakfast could have been a tad hotter but this is just nit picking.
