Went to Jersey with friends and family as a birthday treat for me to watch Jersey play rugby. Chose the Grand as I've been to the island many times but never stayed there. I wasn't disappointed. It is a lovely hotel. From the minute we stepped through the revolving doors the staff made us feel special. Loved every minute. Buffet breakfast could have been a tad hotter but this is just nit picking.

It was a bit dated in decor and although the staff were pleasant it was lacking in quality of service.

Instant coffee in the room facilities, definitely not 5 star. Breakfast understaaffed on Sunday morning. I shouldn't have to leave my table to seek out someone to top up my coffee cup.

The location is lovely It is overpriced for what you get as the room was so small you could not move round. The drinks and food are extortionate.

Room noisy - on the duel carriageway into St Helier, any of te sea veiw or Park veiw are noisy if you want to stay here go for a inland roof facing/building veiw -cheaper and quieter. For the same price you cn stay across the road in a newer quieter hotel.

The Hotel is in a good location for access to shops and restaurants in St. Helier. There is limited parking on site which is on a first come first served basis. The staff were very attentive and professional.. We had booked a deluxe room with sea views and although we were happy with the stadard of the room we were disappointed with the room size which was very small.

We loved everything about this hotel - it was perfect in every way. It is not possible to say anything remotely negative - the room was excellent, the bathroom beautiful, the staff brilliant - professional but friendly, the restuarant lovely, the food top class, the outside cafe lovely in the evening sunshine. We will definitely stay at the Grand Jersey again if the opportunity arises. There was nothing we didn't like - the Grand Jersey is a top class hotel.

We found the Hotel was in an excellent location and enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was disappointing, an excellent variety of fruits, cereals etc, but the traditional cooked items were not presented well, the only bacon was smoked and the fried eggs were left in a warming pan that made them rubbery, not what I expected in a five star hotel. Also the champagne lounge was just that, a great variety of wines, cocktails etc, but no draught beer! In fact there was no other bar in the hotel.

I took my wife away for our last weekend break away before our first baby is born and I have to say we were very disappointed. We had a suite, as soon as we entered it was obvious the room hadn't been used for a while as it was very dusty, dull and very old dated. The bath took forty five minutes to fill and was also very dated. We could hear every conversation the room next door had and also had the pleasure of hearing a full blown argument at 3am. The room was very noisy from the road traffic. This is not a 5 star hotel personally I believe its 3/4 star. There are much nicer hotels in Jersey such as the Spa which is a true 5 star hotel and The Radisson and Royal Yacht are also lovely hotels.

I think the staff were and have always been very pleasant and helpful. Rooms are also very comfortable although quite dark due to the dark wood furniture. For a prestigious hotel, the service did not meet expectations. I ordered brealfast room service twice and both times was late by 20 minutes and therefore did not have much time to eat my breakfast. I aslo ordered room service for dinner twice and must say the chef was very accomodating to making me sides that were not on the menu. However, the two main courses ordered from the mains were not much to be desires and bland. I hade the mushroom ravioli and the pizza on both evenings. The pizza wa dripping in fat and also have soo much cheese on it that I ended up not eating and removing the cheese. Was very sickly!

Staff were excellent Our breakfast on the Monday morning my husband requested scramble eggs and salmon & I ordered a full english, his breakfast arrived and I had to wait 25 mins for mine. For a five star hotel I dont think that is acceptable. The other thing was the bath/basin water was not hot at all which wasn't good. other than that the stay was very good Mrs Jayes

The bedroom and lesiure facilities were excellent. I especially liked the subdued lighting in the leisure facilities as it added to the relaxation. The food was not very exciting and not very good value for money. The breakfast facilities needed to be topped up more regularly. The restaurant in which we had our Boxing day meal was not very inviting at all - not what was expected of a 5 star hotel.

The room decor, the breakfast, the swimming pool, the room service, the staff The only thing was that it was windy and the wind was blowing into the ventilation system and making quite an annoying noise when I was trying to sleep - possibly there was an open flap or something that needs fixing
