Friendly staff, close to the tube. Very thin walls, you can hear almost everything what's happening next door. |

Close to Turnpike station, very handy for commuting on the Piccadily line. Lots of shops nearby, including M&S outlet with cheap and good clothes! Room surprisingly comfy for a budget hotel. Although the booking read that checkout was from 11-12am, they kicked me out at 11. Also, the breakfast place was a little depressing, served only instant coffee and the tea was horrid... Reccomend only for severe need of economy.. |

Nothing. None of the below are promising : location/sorrounding environment/hotel accommodation this is a horrible place for anyone to stay , it stinks so much and forced to vacate even much before the booking duration. |

the hotel was basic but clean and served us well, staff were helpful and everything was good and value for money. not keen on early checkout of 10.30, when it was stated as 12.00 on the booking confirmation |

The staff were friendly, the location was good for what I needed close to Bounds Green. Enjoyed the breakfast. I would have loved to have seen this hotel in it's heyday - presumably about 100 years ago?? The room was "interesting" - in an annexe down the road. I could hear the guy in the next room snoring the walls were very thin. I also smacked my head on the bathroom door frame going to the toilet in the night which was under 6ft high and I am 6ft 2in. I still have the bloody handkerchief to prove it!!! |

Disgusting - faeces smeared on window. Bed linen stank of smoke. Electrical wires hanging out of socket by bed. |

It was in a good location just north of the city, with good tube network about a 10 minute walk away. This is a no frills "hotel". This is somewhere to rest your head, not to really spend any time in. My room had ensuite toilet, shower and very small sink, two basic beds (not luxury mattresses by any means!) small tv with fuzzy reception, sturdy wardrobe with hangers and chest of drawers, kitchen sink, refrigerator and kettle. It's functional, but would be last resort booking, for something cheap and near to the city. The room I had was street facing and therefore noisy until the early hours of the morning, the shower clip to hold the shower head was broken, and there was no hot water on the first night/morning. Breakfast didn't suit my diet so skipped it after checking it out the first morning - I think there was orange squash, ham, cheese, madeira cake, boiled eggs and toast etc. |

To walk from the hotel to the Underground (Turnpike Lane) takes about 5 minutes. On the last day we could leave our suitcases at the hotel to enjoy another day in London (and not having to walk around with them). Upon arrival, the manager acted as if he didn't know about our reservation (while our names were already in his book?) The staff is not very friendly. The bathroom was extremely small (this might be different in other rooms). The hotel changed it's name to Athena Palace. Every day the same breakfast... Situated along a noisy road. |

The hotel is very close to the tube station on the Piccadily line which takes you in 20 min to the central London. Also the fact that it is close to the Wood Green shopping centre and the low price of the hotel rooms. The mouldy, smelly bathroom in urgent need of renovation. |

I thought the best feature of the hotel was its location, it was well situated to access central London It was claimed to have internet access, but the wired access point was not working due to the wires not connected and exposed |

Easy access to central London, room seemed to have recently been re-painted, great kitchenette with microwave - so more of an apart-hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Convenience food stores closeby. Tea and coffee in room, flatscreen tv. |

The room was comfy and the facilities were great. I was very happy with the level of service the staff gave and they were very understanding when I arrived late due to delays on the motorway. |

Convenient to public transport, mini kitchenette a real bonus (included a microwave, fridge, kettle, tea and coffee). Room had recently been refreshed - painted, new carpet etc. No curtain or blind in the shower room meant that other external windows facing the hotel rooms were in direct view of bathroom occupants leaving nothing to the imagination! |
