The location next to Queensway tube station was really convenient. The staff were very helpful and the decor throughout the hotel was very impressive. Our club room was spacious, clean and comfortable,and the complimentary wine and chocolates were a lovely added touch.

Cosy rooms, nice location, friendly staff.

Location, cleanliness, history and historic features. Also that they had single rooms available.

Ideal location for the tubes, room small but very cosy and good facilities. The staff are very polite and helpful and when we couldnt open our safe they came straight up and repaired it.

I didn't like the fact that it is in a street full of hostels and on a night they are all sat outside smoking drugs you feel high walking up the street.This is a shame as the hotel is an excellent

- Very near to underground stations, bus stops, supermarket (sainsbury), chinese and thai restaurants, pizza places, Hyde and Kensington Parks - facilities all functioning well: bathroom, hot/cold water, TV, wifi, lights - staff very helpful and courteous - biscuits and drinks (choco, coffee, tea) refilled in rooms everyday

the price for London and it was clean

we were upgraded but without the upgrade things ect water and fruit in room there is a man hole outside the hotel and our room was at the front so every time a car or lorry went over it the noise woke you up so if you are going to stay here have a room at the back and the bar had very little drinks to offer

Staff was not friendly , you feel they are pushed to work . not cooperative and making discrimination between guests

The stuff was really friendly.

The décor is fantastic.

The staff is deeply unfriendly and bothersome. They kept asking us to pay for stuff we'd already paid for and almost didn't allow us to check in on arrival as their credit card terminal was malfunctioning. Very upsetting to our 8 year-old.

The location is quiet and relaxing, but near to essential things including Bayswater Tube station, restaurants and convinient stores. Friendly and helpful staffs at reception desk and restaurant.

The size of the single room is very small - just to fit a single bed! Luckily, I was upgraded to the deluxe room on my third day due to electricity failure in the single room.

We especially liked the room's bathroom amd the comfortable bed

We were disappointed by the receptionist at our arrival, because he could not find our reservation And ignored us for ten minutes (blond bald one). We were given a room at the basement next to the rubbish with a cocroach on the window.

Location next to Queensway tube or Bayswater tube. Rooms nice and clean. Bathroom nice and modern. Hotel entrance was very nice as well. Only 10min by tube from shopping areas and Leister square. Full tea and coffee facilities and free Wifi / Ethernet cable in room.

Booked standard room on here so no breakfast included unless you book direct with hotel. Rooms very small around 8ft x 9ft cube. Rooms felt run down and needed repairs.

The Grand Royale was beautiful and luxurious, our room (Club) was spacious, the location was ideal. The staff was helpful, friendly and responsive to our needs. The breakfast was delightful each morning and got our days off to a fine start. We were well cared for in every way. We loved this hotel and look forward to going back!

Near the tube station for easy access to all parts of london

I was staying there with my husband and friends who are a gay couple who also booked a double room. They were switched to a twin room on arrival due to being same sex. When they asked about a double bed the staff behind the bed were horrified and said 'but your both girls' NOT gay friendly at all!!!

Location was good - close to Queensway underground station.

The duvet was too small for the bed. The room was miniscule, by far the smallest room I have stayed in in London - and expensive There were missing curtain hooks, the window handle was very loose and difficult to operate, the window and sill had peeling paint. The wardrobe was originally fixed to the wall; this had come away from the wall and leaning into the room. The wardrobe was too short to hang even a jacket in it. The bath had a large painted patch in it, and mouldy grout the shower end.

The hotel moved me on the first night to its sister hotel. The accomadation provide was not acceptable and was located in the lobby. I had no sleep due to it being located in the reception area. The worst hotel experience of my life.
