Well-located in exclusive South Kensington, this 4-star hotel is less than half a mile from London’s Natural History Museum and the Royal Albert Hall.
Score from 1506 reviews Very good
A very pleasant atmosphere with efficient, friendly staff. The bedrooms were a comfortable temperature and beds very comfortable and it was nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room, especially returning from a long day sightseeing.
Whilst the actual location of the hotel is in a nice road with easy access to Kensington Gardens and public transport links, Bayswater itself was not very salubrious, however, this is not the fault of the hotel and we would return.... think the cost of breakfast is a little high.
Staff were very plesent.
Had to move rooms our first room was tiny carpet stained rust all over the bathroom. 2nd room was much better but the whole place is in need of tlc and a repaint.
I like the lobby lounge, it is very comfortable while me and my sister were waiting for a taxi.
I did not like that the room was a little bit small, but overall I had good time there.
the staff were responsible and helpful the room was always clean the location was perfect.
the room was small
The four of us could not find a fault with anything concerning the hotel. We were all really impressed.
the room was very very small and bathroom was extremely small.
Unfriendly, uncomfortable. Everything bad for repeat business.
The location is great.
Wifi signal is weak and pretty noisy when at 11pm - 12am.
the location is greate
the rooms are too small even though I paid extra for a bigger room but even that was too small, I had to jump on the bed to move around!
The light in the bathroom was fantastic. As a woman this is usually a problem, makeup in the dark is always iffy!!!! Great light!!!
The rooms were very small as well as the bathroom was small.
The hotel was excellently placed close to two tube stations, enabling you to reach all the top attractions easily The staff were very friendly and the ground floor was beautiful The late 12.00 check out was a welcome as well
The price of the breakfasts, I didnt bother with them
Small room. No place to just sit and relax with comfort
Location at Hyde Park Cleanliness WiFi in rooms
Tight spaces No lunch or dinner
Single room is smaller than a prison cell. 4 walls and single bed and not even space to walk around the bed. I had to pay extra to upgrade to a double room which was also quite small.Hotel stuff is reasonable but not friendly.
Great Breakfast. Close to Regents Park. Close to tube (mind the steps!).
No clock radio. No lamp in side room for reading when other person wants to sleep. Toilet close to side wall makes for interesting use!
The location of the hotel is good. Close to Hyde Park and two stations. Hotel has a nice old fashioned theme to it. A bit too dark for my taste as I prefer clean modern themes. Room was clean.
I've been all around the world and this hotel has the tiniest hotel room I've ever been to in my life. If you open your suitcase, there won't be any room for you to walk. Bed sheets were clean but had holes in them.. As for the bed itself, I can feel the springs inside the mattress while sleeping.. Hotel doesn't have scale for suitcases. When I asked for one they said the one they have is broken.. The staff won't help you at night and ask you to call in the morning. I asked for example for an adaptor and they refused to give me one and they asked me to call them in the morning.. I asked for iron and board and the board they sent me was broken and asked for another one.. The walls in the hotel are paper thin. You basically hear foot steps and everything happening outside your room.. Weirdest thing is that rooms can't be locked from the inside. They claim it's for security reasons. But the good thing is that it can't be open from the outside without the access card.
I stayed on the 7th floor. The room had been recently refurbished with modern decor and a great bathroom. A plus was that I could open the window for fresh air.
The double room was small - okay for one, but too small for two. Through the wall, I could hear the TV in the next room. Of more concern, I was unable to secure the door from the inside with a chain, which made me feel a little unsafe.
location, location and locations transit restaurants convenience stores crowd
rooms very tight couple should be only quoted a King bed not a double?
Service Noise Extremely small rooms Clueless staff
Definitely not a 4 star hotel.
Location Friendly staff
Wifi was just about bearable
Clean room Friendly staff and helpful
Wifi was very poor on the lower level
We like the bed and the very nice, but small bathroom. The staff was very kindly.
It was very small room, and the breakfast was to expensive.
I felt like at home
The Hotel is in a great location. After a day working in London, it is a great place to chill, A walk around Hyde Park so envigorating. Nearby tubes get you anywhere quickly. Most of all, the staff are terrific. Anything asked for is dealt with warmly and professionally. Rooms are small, but that's London and on balance a great place to stay
