Britannia Grand Burstin Hotel

Die Lage des Hotels am Hafen / Meer und der Nähe zu Dover sowie als Ausgangspunkt für Entdeckungsfahrten Südengland .

Bei unserem Herbstaufenthalt 2008 hatten wir 2 Zimmer mit Duschen und Mischbatterien kalt / warm . - Während des Osteraufenthalts 2009 hatten wir k e i n e Duschen ! - Badewanne und Waschbecken mit jeweils 2 Wasserhähnen kalt und warm . - "Ideal" zum Haarewaschen !?

Laute aircon die ganze nacht, zimmer wurde getauscht, dann neues zimmer , keine duscharmaturen, provisorum vom waschbecken, matratzen alt und durchgelegen,starke gerueche im flur

Die lage zum hafen,zur stadt und zum eurotunnelterminal.zimmer gross und gut ausgestattet

Das hotel ist abgewohnt und renovierungsbedürftig,insbesondere die badezimmer müssten komplett herausgerissen werden.personal der rezeption unfreundlich,zimmerservice schlecht.die betten nur notdürftig gemacht,dick staub auf den kleiderschränken und in der badezimmerentlüftung.bad unsauber,toilette nur nach einsatz mitgebrachter chemie benutzbar.auch bei günstigem zimmerpreis nicht akzeptabel.

gute Lage, auch zur Altstadt (fußläufig leicht zu erreichen), großzügige Raumverhältnisse, gute Parkmöglichkeiten, gute und preiswerte Verpflegung bei HP

unprofessionelles, unkonzentriertes Personal an der Rezeption, veraltetes Bad

the location was great the service very good,food good and handy for the channel ports

The entertainment was very good

The room was ssmelly and well due a refurbishment

the hotel looks run down and old.it needs renovating badly.also when we arrived they had no knowledge of our booking and we had to pay at the desk so i hope we will not be charged by yourselves please confirm this please

The sheer comedy of having to queue for so long that people had to send family and friends to go to the bar for cooling drinks whilst they waited patiently for clueless reception staff to try and sort out booking errors, etc. Pure Basil Fawlty.

Apart from the inept service offered, it was very discouraging to return to the hotel at the end of the evening to find they lobby filled with police dealing with an earlier incident involving guests, so that the guests of my own party could not have our visitors admitted and that the bar was also closed. I feel that at £57 for the night, I was overcharged by at least £50. With hindsight I should have looked at other guests comments before making my booking. Burstin is Woeful!

Self service meals. Access to beach. Close proximity to shops/pubs etc.

Bath had no shower. Sheets were not changed frequently enough. Announced times for meals not accurate (staff cleared up too soon).

booking in took 45 mins there was a constant queue all day,beds very uncomfortable, dingy decor throughout, smelt like hospital food in public areas, lack of maintenance obvious, no ventilation, very stuffy

The one thing we did not appreciate was the maid knocking at our door then letting herself in. to check that we were leaving that day and that we had to be out by 10am. My husband was sitting in the room with just his boxers on and was quite taken aback. If it was past 10am then maybe I could understand but it was 9.15am. We have never had this experince before and found it quite unprofessional.
