The general ambiance of the hotel, the staff and the style and spaciousness of the rooms. Very comfortable. We are not keen on carpet in the bathroom - not the most hygienic in a hotel. The room was far too hot and probably contributed significantly to global warming! And we had difficulty operating the temperature control in the shower. |

From the time my husband and I arrived at The Grand our car, luggage and ourselves were looked after in a very professional and friendly way Because my husband and I are over 70 we found it very difficult to get out of bed due to the softness of the matresses. |

The staff went out of their way to be friendly and courteous, anything you needed they would provide if they could. Our room didn't have a view, but then we didn't pay for a sea-view. |

I liked the warm welcome, the attentiveness of the staff, the "opulent" atmosphere and the quality of the restaurant food. The astronomical bar prices. It would have been so nice to relax either in the bar or the lounge after a meal for a few drinks but the bar prices were just obscene ! |

The comfort of the hotel was excellent. We booked through the internet and it did not give all the room classificationswe had booked an Executive room and did not know that we had to classify seaview room consequently when we arrived we were very disappointed with the dingy room we were allocated and forunately were able to upgrade until our last two days when we had to move rooms. Not at all what we are used to and we will not be booking via the internet again. |

An excellent hotel where the standard of accommodation and service can be relied on at all times. On site parking is a plus in a town where parking can be difficult. |

We celebrated our thirtieth wedding anniversary in the town where we got married by staying at The Grand, enjoying the fabulous breakfasts, a gourmet meal at the Mirabelle, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the whole sense of occasion that a stay at The Grand always induces. |

The staff were very attentive and service was mostly very good. The room was well appointed and large and comfortable. The hotel has a strict dress code which I only discovered after my arrival. Forewarning would have been appreciated. |

What I like most was the service/staff. They were polite and very helpful. Each time we left our room a staff member would come and tidy up after us, even laying down the bathroom mats. Unable to have stand up shower as the shower head was very loose but we did report this |
