The Grand Hotel    

it was just a great venue/ break everyone was so help full.

from the moment you arrive the staff make you very welcome the grand is a wonderful building with a relaxing atmosphere full marks for the breakfast

In the bedroom you could hear a loud humming noise all night.It made sleep difficult. The noise I believe was extraction fans in the kitchens

The service was truly spectacular. The lovely lady host in the Garden Room was a delight at family dinner sitting and morning breakfast. Very efficient and always with a friendly smile and conversation for my 2 year old.

There was nothing that I did not like!

easy to book, the rooms, the service, dinner, outside/the house especially in the evenning (light), dog friendly (but at least, our dogs slept in the car at night), the salons, the bar,

would be nice to have a little bit younger peoples..... we would like to come again (even with our dogs)

No A/C in the room

my whole stay, the surprise upgrade to seaview, the staff, afternoon tea and the live band in the evening. we had a fabulous relaxing morning using the spa facilities before seeing family and the drive home. we will be returning.

where are your gardens?

The kids facilities and flexibility with adjoining room etc. kids meals free/cheaper. Beautiful adults' restaurant. Service was fabulous.

Extra charges for breakfast seved in room extortionate. Should be one set charge not a Charge per person as one table arrived, not 3!

The service

The Breakfast was not quite up to 5 star standard.

The room location. Very good meals. Friendly service.

The bathroom. No place to really put any products. The small glass shelf was inadequate and the metal caddy under the basin was pretty useless. Awkward to get at and things placed there reularly fell on the floor.

The place is great has a lovely feel about it and the senior staff tend to be the same. always our only hotel.

The Garden Room evening dinner is very over priced, £38.00 per person I dont mind paying that for a gourmay meal, but it was '' nice '' but NOT ?£338.00 worth. The room is very large and very few people in there so it lacked atmosphere.

I have stayed at the Grand a number of times and the food is excellent.

The staff in the restaurant are excellent but the front desk need to execute requests a lot quicker as we had to wait 20 minutes for a waiter for lunch and 40 minutes for dvd player as reception had forgotten my room number.

Very expensive at hotel for food and drinks. One member of staff the head of the dining room was very rude to me after waiting 15 mins after being seated at dining table no one came to see us once I complained he jumped down my throat and was very rude indeed. Would put me of going back to the hotel

We were on our honeymoon and everything was just perfect. Our junior suite was superb, the views exceptional and the comfort second to none. We will certainly return and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel.
