We all liked a lot about the hotel, so these points are being picky. It would have been great to have some mobility aids available for the older member of the family.
At the other end of the spectrum, we were quite excited about the kids playroom - but it was a bit small and underground so the kids weren't excited about it at all. We didn't use it in the end.
I couldn't get on with the free Wi-Fi, fortunately the hotel has decent 3G signal - I don't like paying for Wi-Fi.
We all liked a lot about the Grand. The service was generally very good, and we felt very 'looked after' for the entire stay.
I had selected the Grand for its heritage and old world charm, but it is in no way faded, in fact it was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. Having two small children and a slightly infirm mother in law we are difficult to please!
The Grand is very well located, with parking, close to the beach and the centre of Eastbourne. Also has an outdoor pool, which was a great way to freshen up before dinner.
