Upgraded to a sea view room which was gorgeous
Stains on the carpet and no ceiling lighting which made it dark
The staff were very helpful. Our room was a sea view and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We had room service and it was very tasty. We had a very enjoyable stay at The Grand and will definitely stay again.
Very good staff.
No make-up mirror.
Friendliness of staff who couldn't have been more helpful.
Having to wait a long time for the lift several times.
everything else lovely particularly Lauren on reception who coped with me so well as I was ill
They need to put an internal telephone directory in the bedrooms as it is impossibly to get reception!
Prime location, very friendly and cooperative staff.you can witness the good willing and desire of the management to provide their best services.
I noticed that they have a shortage of staff especially in rooms cleaning.the room services in food are too high in prices
Staff were really helpful. Location was good. Very clean and a really splendid building to stay at.
My husbands room was over the kitchens and hence noisy. He asked to change rooms but was told the hotel was fully booked. However a reduction was made on the evening meal. My room faced a brick wall and as I was unable to close the curtains light was coming through and I was unable to sleep well. Two big weddings so very crowded and nowhere to sit in the lounge. Bit expensive really. Building needs decorating/maintenance and bedroom not very good value considering the price per night
excellent decor, furnishings and general ambience courteous staff at reception, room service and house-keeping
- Made the mistake of booking a standard room. It was small and had no windows... got stuffy and claustrophobic. By no means of international/premium standards
Went to the grand after we got married.
Impressive building, room was nice enough, good breakfast.
General interior is a bit shabby considering it's supposed to be a luxury hotel. Lack of personal touch, guests just a number no real care or concern given. Overall very disappointed for the cost.
Room 426. Get so one to sit on toilet and look ahead.!! Somehow do away with bottom of mirror. Salt and pepper chipped.
Nice location fantastic view comfortable bed Nice design Helpful staff Good room service
Was very happy from dropping my car at the front to the special box of chocolates for our anniversary. I have been here before but was ths first time for my husband and he loved the experience
Everything was perfect x
Lack of personal attention at this "top level/5star property"
Fast efficient service all round the evening meal in the restaurant was of a very high standard and very well presented
Perfectly located for our visit to the Brighton Centre. Good sized room. Excellent staff - all were friendly, helpful and very good at their jobs. Breakfast good. The state of the room and the hotel in general was superb - far better than we expected! It was pricey but we had a great stay and felt that we got value for our money.
Nothing - it was great in every respect
the feel of the place, the quality of the surroundings, the staff make you feel a bit special,
our room was very good however the were some items of clothing left in the dressing table draw that were not ours, we told reception and they were shocked. The food was very good we had dinner in the main restaurant, but im not to sure about the style of service bit like an american diner, wooden boards baskets with chips in etc. call me ol fashion but with the style and elegance of the hotel I think a nice plate and silver service would be more appropriate. Many thanks and we will be back
We have stayed many times at The Grand and just love the hotel, the atmosphere, the attentive and courteous staff and the feeling of it being a smart traditional hotel in a beautiful iconic building.
On this visit however we felt the hotel had cut back on staff in the lounge, bar and dining room as the ones serving were all rushed off their feet. The breakfast has been moved and there is much less choice; therefore was a disappointment.
The hotel is as its name says Grand. Sea view room with balcony was excellent with 100% Egyptian cotton bedding and plenty of bathroom toiletries. The GB1 restaurant had a great selection of dishes and they were very tasty as was the breakfast.
Plenty of choice at breakfast. Great start for the day.
The cleaning staff excellent
The staff didn't tell us about the facilities. We never knew there was a gym until leaving. The reception staff were not very good at giving out information
Very polite and helpful staff. impressive interior.
room overlooked courtyard full of air conditioning equipment witch emitted a loud constant droning noise disapoining
Perfect location.Next door to the Brighton Centre and over the road from the beach.Breakfast buffet brilliant(see what I did there).Staff excellent.Sea view room worth the extra.Nice early Xmas present to ourselves.
Couldn't fault it.
Friendly and helpful staff. Great food. Lovely room Central location
Bill at dinner was wrong, this was a pity, staff member was a little slow to deal with my concerns.
Quality of bedding, cleanliness of the room, additional benefit of good coffee making machine
