Wanted to stay here for ages was a special occasion and the Hotel and its staff made our stay amazing everyone was helpful and polite The bar prices were good and environment was lovely try the pudding cocktails ! The breakfast was good we did not want to leave the hotel and so left at the latest check out time we could !
Turned off the Outside Christmas lights too early ! At busy times The Reception needs more staff. Where were the Bath robes and slippers ?
Central location. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast.
Room overlooking generators, noisy throughout the night. Cramped breakfast room, difficult to move around tables.
Excellent location, plenty of staff. Lovely linen and towels.
Low balcony on Victorian staircase.
beautiful hotel, everything we expected and more
GB Seafood restaurant provided excellent food with good service.
Location and hotel
Lovely staff .Great breakfast with huge selection of foods .big beds. Great value deal.
Bathroom a bit cold, toilet to close to the wall.
Amazing service, stunning interior, perfect location
A lot of noise (music) until 1am
A very good hotel with an old fashioned approach to service that brought back memories of how it should be done, indeed my wife said it was like stepping back in time when we entered the large reception area. Staff were courteous and willing to please, rooms lovely and clean and very cosy. All in all and very enjoyable stay.
Bar area very busy and they did struggle to keep up and maintain the level of service that tgry aspire to, but that is being a little picky. However, more worrying being that you tended to get ignored if you were not in a suit and tie or indeed dinner jacket!
Staff very friendly and breakfast excellent
Poor view and could hear a lot of noise from outside during the night. Very expensive for what we had
Stunning building with fantastic views (sea view room). Very well staffed who were very polite and helpful. The restraunt is beautiful along with the food to match.
Breakfast service was very bad Toilet near Receipton was very dirty, also needs TLC for a 4 * Very bad
The staff were excellent and thd food was very good.
Room 607. I was surprised that there wasn't a heated towel rail in the bathroom to warm the towels as the bathroom did not have any heating and was cold. We left the door open to help warm the bathroom but that just made the bedroom cold.
Loved the hotel - beautiful room - excellent service. Location couldnt have been better for brighton Centre next door.
If I had any complaint at all it was that there was no decaf tea available at breakfast.
The room was spacious& comfortable and had a great sea view .the young man who parked our car was very polite & instantly knew our names .
The reception staff were frosty & impolite.upon arrival we were told the booking couldn't be found , eventually the receptionist found our name but she didn't bother to apologise! Not a good first impression !
Beautiful room with sea view and balcony with breakfast in bed !! What more could you ask for
Nice staff, great location
Cracked sink no hooks in bathroom felt rather tired Below average breakfast - eggs stewed as was most of the buffet
The staff were brilliant, a credit to the organisation. We also liked the food in GB1. We stayed at the grand a few years ago and did not enjoy the experience, the hotel was "tired", which is why we haven't returned for some time. Now we would be happy to stay there.
There was no de-caffinated tea in the rooms and when I asked, Iwas told that they didn't have de-caffinated tea bags.
we stayed in a seaview on 7th floor and the room was very good. large with all the facilities expected, Price good as significantly discounted. All staff tried very hard to meet all requests whilst working within restriction of facilities due to function ongoing
The hotel had a large function going on so facilities bar, lounge and restaurant all impacted for guests without any warning. No valet parking left by time we arrived at hotel, Only single option on restaurant menu for vegetarians, very poor for this level of hotel expected more
Great hotel, location & surroundings. Fab place & great staff.
Overnight car parking expensive!
from start to finnish you were made to feel special
milk portions in rooms but if asked you are given fresh milk no problem
