Very good value and excellent breakfast
Wifi didn't work!
Perfect. Good old fashioned hospitality, this is how it should be done. Fantastic room, food, service, staff and hotel.
Location and service
Location excellent bar area very nice with piano playing
Bathroom a little tired and lift availablity very poor with a long wait for them limited car parking
My colleague had been delayed. I had confirmed that parking would be available for him but on his arrival he was told he would have to sort his own parking. Disappointing.
Pleasant staff, comfortable room, good breakfasts to eat
mediocre coffee at breakfast
Very relaxing time , bar is lovely
Usual high standard re staff, comfort etc
Room had no mobile signal at all
Right on sea front and close to restaurants
Wifi was poor
The atmosphere and ambience of the hotel is a modern take on old school charm. The sea view rooms with balcony are awesome and highly recommended.
Beautiful building staff v helpful
Some parts of the hotel are a bit tired, the breakfast hall was s bit grim
The room was lovely and the staff made us feel good.especially your door man the older gentleman he was superb.
I had very little sleep as baby crying all night in our corridor. Told reception when we checked out.
Extremely good staff. Great and helpful service. Room very comfortable. Location is excellent.
Slightly slow wifi. Had the bad luck of tasting fruit yoghurt going bad at breakfast.
All of it. This is the first time when I have wanted to stay at a hotel and not go sight-seeing or shopping. The Spa was fabulous.
The doormen were very friendly
No 24 hour food service untidy room and very small
Awe inspiring building inside and out. The lobby and staircase are like you would see in a movie.
The classic seaview room we were given on the 6th floor was a disappointment and looked nothing like the picture on the website! Not grand at all, just bog standard!
The staff at the hotel were all totally committed, friendly, helpful and efficient. The food at the GB1 restaurant was out of this world! The best food we have eaten in a long time. Well done The Grand!!
Having to pay £20 a day to park the car. It is normally £30 but I got a discount because we stayed for 3 nights.
All the staff were warm and friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect
The fact that all members of staff were helpful, polite & friendly.
The cold bathroom. There was no form of heating in it at all. The faux leather headboard. Not up to the expected standard of this hotel. It looked cheap & tacky.
paying extra for the spa
Close to sea, restaurants and facilties. Comfortable bed Friendly staff on the whole, especially in the bar and concierge team
Breakfast organisation was a little slow and staff rather less friendly than elsewhere. (breakfast itself was excellent though)
The wooden furnishing in Restauarant and rooms was fairly average and cheap looking. No 'wow" factor. Evening table setting as in a cheap sea front cafe.
Our room was very comfortable with a superb sea view. Spacious and well appointed.
The shower in our bathroom was too small. The design of the bathroom could be improved.
