Very comfortable, with prompt service and staff who were polite and efficent. The food was excellent Our room was very hot and of course the window could only be opened fractionally. The room was however very comfortable. |

The seaside location is superb. The ambiance of the ground floor rooms lives up to the name. I was initially disappointed when I discovered there was a breakfast buffet, rather than breakfasts being cooked to order, but it was actually excellent. There was a chef at the buffet cooking eggs and pancakes as required and staff monitored the copious trays of food to make sure they were replenished swiftly. The numbers of peopl eating ensured that nothing sat on the buffet keeping hot for too long, and the cold items (pastries and fruit) were also excellent. We had booked a parking space but the garage had no record of it and tried to turn us away. Once I had proved I had made the booking by showing the paperwork, they did their best to help us. The receptionist that dealt with me was quite surly and snappy. It was a busy day, but that is no excuse. She asked me for a credit card to authorise expenditure on the room and tried to put through an amount £150 more than the cost of the room. As breakfast was included in the rate and we had already told her we would not have dinner in the hotel, I founf that excessive. There were huge queues at reception on Sunday morning - the queue stretched to the back of the sizable reception area. They really need to streamline their systems or put more staff on. Maybe this would help staff keep their tempers. Our room was on the 7th floor. The room was a very good size, but it was obviously the floor originally built as servants' quarters. The ceiling was low and the furnishings could have come from a budget motel. There were only 2 English Breakfast tea bags - that is really stingy. This hotel is not very special and not value for money. |

An excellent location with good staff and an enjoyable breakfast with a vast selection of food to choose from. The room was very hot and would have benefitted from air conditioning or the availabilty of an electric fan. In addition, I do not expect to have to ask for my in-room tea and coffee supplies to be topped-up more than once each day because they only leave 1 tea bag per person for a 24 hour period. Not good enough for a hotel that charges an average of £130 per night. |

We have stayed here quite a few times over the past 7 years. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is quite a variety and delicious. We did notice there was not as many concierge as usual, you normally pull up at the front and they take your car and park it, maybe they have made some cutbacks lke most people. The swimming pool was also closed for refurbishment. |

Hotel is AA graded 5 star, room NOT 5 star, if you can get a good deal you will be happy, but if you are paying full price you will definately be dissappointed. Location was fabulous, staff were excellent. Food was also very good. |

The Location of the hotel was perfect for what we were looking for... Literally a stones throw from the beach. Quality of room was not great for a "5*" hotel... Room (234) was tatty and rather cramped, with a window that did not open more than 3" as the view behind it was just a load of industrial fan units. For a room that was supposedly reduced from £270 down to £150, we was rather disappointed. |

The amenities in the room were more than adequate and the staff were helpful and the location was excellent for the sea front Plumbing system needs to be updated at the overhead shower was not powerful enough and the water temperature varied during the shower. |

Lovely breakfast - friendly staff We booked a spring break so wasn't expecting a fantastic room - however slightly disappointed that the decor was tired with peeling windowsills and tiles on the bathroom floor that came off onto your wet feet!! |
