The view from our room was fantastic and was really romatantic. It was very clean, warm and welcoming. The only downside was that we picked a really windy night to stay so it was quite noisy! Breakfast was excellent with an extremely wide choice of what to have and the staff were very friendly and helpful. An all round good hotel to stay in. Nothing! |

The location was perfect as we attened a performance at the Brighton Centre, right next door. Also the hotel itself is a beautiful building with many spectacular features. Not that we wanted to use it, but the TV did not work in our room, but we did report this to reception. Also the hairdryer was faulty, we also mentioned this. Parking at the hotel is also very expensive ! |

View from sea view rooms. Buffet breakfast is varied and plentiful. Decor is tired and needs refreshing. Windows did not fit properly. Room overheated. |

The staff were as good as any I have met. Friendly and extremely helpful without being intrusive £25 a day for onsite parking on a first come first serve basis was a bit of a rip-off. It would feel better if they added £10 to the room charge per day andf charged the same rate (£15) for parking as the NCP carpark next door. |

Location and the grandness of the building in it's public area's. The style, layout and mostly how tired and worn the room was. Plus the room could of been much cleaner considering we have stayed in places that have been less costly and had much better rooms. |

The room was excellent, we had a sea view. The bed was huge and very comfy and the bathroom was lovely. For a 5* hotel I expected a swimming pool and steam or sauna facilites. The gym was very small and there was no dvd facilities in our room and I thought it was disgusting to charge for a playstation £3.00 per half hour which my friend and I wanted to use to watch a dvd. for a 5*hotel I expected to be able to watch a dvd in my room without an additional charge. |

Location right on seafront, impressive interior and exterior, good food for breakfast and lunch and comfortable room. Very warm although was unusually warm outside for time of year, quite noisy by road when window open, lack of air conditioning |

The beautiful sweeping staircase. The fantastic choice of food at breakfast time, plus the service from the breakfast staff. I felt that the communication skills of the reception staff were quite poor, considering they are working in a five star hotel which has a well known reputation. |

Breakfast good but busy. We were put in a small room with no window (opaque glass) I asked to be moved -this seemed to be problematic; Eventually got slightly bigger room with window ( no view).Hotel is shabby needs renovation-not 5 star. |

The service was excellent, and cleanliness also very good. It was in a very convenient location for both the beach and shopping etc. I only had a single room but it felt a little cramped - furniture probably a little large for the size room and looked a little tired. Rather a large table lamp that completely blocked the side table mirror view and couldn't be moved because it clashed with the television. There was also a suite party going on 2 doors down with people speaking and laughing very loudly in the corridor til 2pm. I could have phoned down but didn't want to ruin the party but did wonder why reception hadn't picked up on it given it was only on the 1st floor! |

Near car park. The room was pretty clean. Staff was nice and friendly. The room was smaller than expected, but I guess it is an average size for a UK hotel. Small details should be fixed such as wood chipping on the bath room door, the toilet was hard to flush. |

Location. Helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Inadequate lighting in the room. Windows did not stay open- had to use T.V. control to wedge it open. |

We were there for the last night of a very long trip. It gave us just the luxury we needed (especially the bed and the room service). I felt that phone numbers for hotel services could be better displayed in the information book for easy access. |

This hotel is wonderful and worth every penny. It was well decorated throughout, with the most being made of its original features. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in a hotel, with a vast choice and top quality food. It has a fantastic location and is perfect for a weekend in Brighton. |
