On the seafront in the heart of Brighton's 'Lanes', this friendly hotel has a pool, gym and free Wi-Fi. It is well located for nightlife, restaurants and the beach.
Score from 2469 reviews Good
Overlooking the seafront, The Thistle Brighton is just a quarter mile from the Brighton Pier and the Royal Pavilion. It features free Wi-Fi throughout, a restaurant with sea views, a pool and a spa.
Score from 1127 reviews Very good
This 4-star luxury hotel looks out over Brighton seafront and is close to the shops and city center. The grand Victorian building has large rooms, a restaurant and a fitness center with indoor pool.

Very friendly and helpful staff without being intrusive. The room was very comfortable and loved the bed. Excellent location for exploring Brighton
a little disappointed that we needed to queue for 10 minutes for breakfast on one occasion.
4th visit, must be good
Staff friendly and accomodating felt very much like a VIP
The excellent friendly staff they made us feel welcome from the moment that we arrived . We booked a table In the restaurant and enjoyed a fabulous meal. Anna our waitress was very helpful and attentive we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and she arranged a nice supprised with our sweet. Didn't want to leave.
The sevice we received from The moment we arrived was excellent ,the room was very comfortable the food was fantastic the spa was amazing myself and my wife had a massage, would come back every week if it was possible and the staff were brilliant what more can I say thankyou very much for making our wedding anniversary so memorable.
Can't fault anything.
lovely hotel will go again
Lovely hotel, excellent position on the sea front. Food surprisingly good value considering the hotel is quite expensive. Room was reasonably sized (not a sea front room unfortunately), good facilities and comfy bed. Bedroom and bathroom nicely (newly?) decorated &, quite unusually in my opinion, the bath towels were a good size (& fluffy)
Unfortunately, there were no sea front rooms available so the room we were in was down the side with no view of the outside at all. Room faced next doors fire escape and brick wall - could barely see the sky and consequently needed the lights on, even in the morning which was bright and sunny. Only two lamps in the whole of the room with those horrible dim electricity saving bulbs. Room 137 if you are interested!
Attentive, helpful, friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location, sea view and balcony room amazing. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've had in a long while. Will definitely return!
Drinks very expensive but you are paying for the excellent service and attention to detail.
We recently stayed at the Grand for a second time, as expected it was a lovely break with top class staff and facilities.
The Sun was shinning.
Trying to get staff to do anything. Trying to get into breakfast each morning. No parking it cost as much in parking fees as it did to stay at the hotel. Windows would not open no fresh air during the night.
Atmosphere. Pay extra for a superior room and get prettiness, space and a coffee machine.
Breakfast was poor and served in a gigantic room of singular ugliness.
nothing, everything was excellent.
The hotel was top notch. Staff was excellent. Room ready early so check in was early. Very clean and modern
The only down side was a party that went on well into the night. Most likely not an everyday thing but other guests should have been considered
All round great value
The embiance and proximity to beach.
Rooms very warm.
The building the staff, the beds and the breakfast.
View of the wall - knock down the building on the side of you !
Quiet back room and spacious classic double.
Water stain on curtains
Every part of our stay was brilliant and would definatley stay again everything is right near the hotel and the staff are really good.
Breakfast was lovely and the hotel was in a great location. A visit to the spa is a must, very relaxing and ambience is fab. Very nicely renovated that gives a "grand" feeling, as the name suggests. Would definitely stay here again.
There was no fridge in the room, which was a bit strange. The hotel corridor had a musky smell.
Room was in shabby condition
The hotel good style, with good service which is what be expected from that standard of hotel.
Room was at the back overlooking the ventilation plant so some continuous noise, but was able to asleep
Nothing other than fantastic
The breakfast was excellent and the nostalgic atmosphere was magical but will be the last time I stay at this hotel.
No answer from housekeeping or reception so had to visit reception for any service. The room was like a sauna no air condition they did give us a fan. Had to sleep on top of the sheets but still had a sleepless night.
service, friendly and helpfully staff , decor
We had a room with-out a sea view but the view we had was very disappointing and noisy from fans or pumps and overflowing drainage
Location and decor. Brilliant staff.
No air con. Room window wouldnt open wider so room was very hot....and this in September. No milk for coffee or tea in the room. Tell the musician to play the piano more softly.....one should be able to hear a colleagues conversation.
