The first room we booked in there was a lot of steps. We changed rooms and was very pleased
The breakfast. The fried eggs were very slimy under cooked and bacon was tasteless
anything else need overall
breakfast was great
noise from nelly deans after 4 o clock could do with triple glazin g on the road side
On the waterfront and activities. Staff was nice and hardworking.
Noise form activities on street side loud. Hotel needs updating even after they supposedly remodeled. Carpet in room and hallway quite dirty and they place bedding for next day on dirty carpet in hallway before putting on bed. From A previous trip I did have a much nicer remodeled room so there are some -mostly in areas where nice clean blue carpet is, the rest not so nice.
Rooms not clean
The breakfast staff went out of there way to make us feel at home
RECEPTION!! Could not care less about people , when booking in no smiles or a good greeting , just think the hotel owed them a living. And on leaving the keys at the end of our stay, on saying thank you and see you later not any response , just pure ignorance. If this is what people deserve on there stay here .. Then you are not going to get the people you deserve. Give them a team talk on manners for a start. That's my moan !!!!! But thanks really enjoyed everything else
STAFF AND FOOD VERY GOOD
HEATING IN ROOM A BIT HAPHAZARD
Lovely big room, with sea-view,very clean. Also great jacuzzi bath!
We booked a room where we were able to smoke but were given a no smoking.
Not a lot
Food was disgusting
Bed was clean Bathroom was clean Breakfast good
Staff could be more pleasant Running the 'gauntlet' through the smokers at the entrance Everywhere was very grubby the tea tray in our room (324) hadn't been cleaned for weeks Litter on the landing was there for the duration of our stay
Location Food very good Dining staff very good Room has requested Wifi Entertainment at night
Lifts very out dated Hotel needs upgrading Going home !!!!!
room ok room facilitys were good best time was leaving to go home
room cold at night old windows would not close & filthy not cleaned for years, restaurant dirty food very poor dirty & sticky tables we ate out would not recommend
very good value
entertainment bit old fashioned
Location was excellent, close to all amenities & excellent sea views
Hotel outside areas & windows were filthy, not very inviting to say the least.
Not a lot good location for seeing the light's
Hotel was very shabby and run down not very clean .Mealtimes was like being at zoo
Close to sea
Dinning room all furniture well warn and food poor
The location is good and the bbreakfast was reasonable. The only thing that stood out was a breakfast waiter called Mark who was an absolute shining star - helpful, smiling and friendly. Needs to be commended for great customer service.
The room, the decor, the facilities and a fair few of the staff were unfriendly. We stayed 2 nights and had no housekeeping at all. Had to go to reception for towels, milk and tea.
Staff, very helpful
Room 206 far too small for 2 people, especially as one was disabled. Seemed as though it was a stud wall between 206 & 207 as we could hear the conversations of the guests in 207 & also every word from the television therefore affecting our sleep. The .sheets, although clean had holes in due to being threadbare. Promenade restaurant was like a cattle market. Hotel requires upgrading.
Location Brilliant. Friendly Staff
Room was tired looking. In need of redecorating. Tatty bed linen.
Overall a good break. Meals were good, no one needs to go hungry, Matthew in the Worrall restaurant was very tentative nothing was ever to much trouble. Loved the character of this grand hotel. Room was clean and comfortable.
The hotel is in need of some work. Our key card got deactivated on our second day..was a hassle having to come down stairs with shopping, had to queue up at reception where there was only one lady on there due to lunch breaks.
Hotel location. Car park right next to Hotel, very convenient and very reasonably price. Breakfast quality excellent and varied. Everything well cooked and fresh. Bath water probably hottest and comfortable in all hotels I've ever stayed.
Lifts a little too small and not enough of.
Rooms were a good size. Great location.
Breakfast and Dinner was horrible should be able to order drinks with dinna instead of water only. Staff could smile more and be friendly. Got given a smokers room when requested non smoking and the hallway stunk of smoke. Hotel needs updateing big time!
Breakfast was nice but hectic
The first room we were given was on the ground floor with trams and traffic right out side also passers by knocking on the window the curtains were so thine that you could see through them
