A good clean comfortable room. Something should be done about the central area where kitchen exhaust pipes are situated. This is infested with pigeons and is extremely unhygenic The dining room staff were excellent however the receptionist was completely uninterested in assisting guests. We had some difficulty accessing the parking area but she did not help in any way. She did not advise how to get out of the car park when we left and we were forced to leave the car and return inside to find out the method to be used. It is a shame that she dragged down the standard of the remainder of the staff.

The fact I could get my mobility scooter upto the lift When I booked I asked for a room close to the lift as I am disabled, unfortunately I was given a room over fifty yards away from the lifts, needless to say I wasn't impressed.

I like the friendly staff, art deco styling, location, secure car parking and a great breakfast. Rooms are comfy and the spa bath just eases you after a long drive Can't really think of anything I don't like, I will stay again

We enjoyed our stay, able to relax in comfort. Somewhat a litle surprised having to pay car-park fees in the past this as always been free.

Hotel needs upgrade ...very tired 80's feeling to downstairs areas...bedroom comfortable but not pretty, shower good - best feature of my stay...to be honest hotel needs whole revamp..new furniture...would come again for mini break as felt very welcome but hotel not of usual standard for me...staff very good, but hotel living in late 1970's / 1980s....travel a lot with my job and hotel seemed very run down to what I'm used to..however it is Blackpool and is this what people expect? Lift very shabby, ground floor very shabby...and wallpaper onceiling - what;s that about? Tatty carpet in room..very shabby furniture, windows very dirty......would have liked upgrade to sea view room - single traveller and hacked off by restrictions to single booking

The hotel has seen better days. Rooms were small and uncomfortable. In some rooms you could smell smoke of cigarette. Towels were missing and it took a long time to get them after you had asked from reception. The rooms were cheap but I would not go there again.

Great value for money. The view from pur room was fantastic. We also had a spa bath and the size of room was brilliant. For the price we paid it was the best accomadatipn I've ever had in Blackpool. Had a power shower aswell which most of the smaller b and bs never have. Good locational north pier, but if you want to do pleasure beach or sandcastle uoud need to get a tram or bus if you don't like a big walk. Had a lovely stay. It is dated but I liked that about it as it added character to a stay in Blackpool.

It is a beautiful "Grand" hotel . The decor was fantastic in the downstairs - ballroom, restaurant. Fantastic location for the North Pier!! The decor in the rooms were a little dated but I didnt expect anything less from such a old hotel. Although the bathroom had recentley updated with a very modern corner shower.
