MY wife and i have stayed at this hotel on a few occassions, and really do think it is value for money, if you are expecting 4 star accomodation you will be dissapointed, but it has everything you need and prime location. There is nothing i can say we did not like about the hotel, but if i was to be very picky, then quite a few of the waiting staff are very young, and dont have that customer service appeal.

The staff and the location Lack of parking and the poor breakfast; Like all Britania Hotels, don't expect fried eggs on the weekend or a decent sausage, still you get what you pay for

The cabaret entertainment was very good. We also enjoyed the food, and self service buffet. In our case, being in a room with the windows covered, without an outside view. We also felt (perhaps because of the time of year), that the restaurant, and concert room seemed rather cold.

The staff generally were very helpful, and in particular the girl on reception whose name I forget, that checked us in on arrival. Food was very good value. Asked for a sea view, but on arrival we were given g12 room which was a tiny room with tiny window that faced an internal 4ft square brick enclosed area, that said the young girl on reception was extremely helpful in upgrading us to the fabulous room 383.

Lovely old building which could do with a lot more renovating! Location was excellent. Staff who do not speak clearly and ensure you know what they are talking about before you are 'dismissed'. Paying for car park on hotel site? Small charge but not a welcome one. Our ticket not validated when we paid which necessitated a block at the gate while I had to go back in to see why the ticket didnot work!! Communication is the name of the game...
