location and value for money
Not a lot this hotel needs closed and refurbished .
The food, the floor in the room squeaked when you walked on it
Not a lot the bar even closed up early
Position of hotel, and its old Butlin history, as we attended a Butlin Redcoat Reunion over the weekend. Staff were very helpful, especially Tracey. We stayed in 1004 two nights, 306 three nights, and 624 for two nights. All rooms were clean and value for money. Well done the Grand.
We enjoyed our stay, nothing to dislike.
the general atmosphere environment and food was adequate but as i have stayed in an executive room i would certainly up grade to this if i can in the future i would large spacious airy and the on suite is indulgently good
on the basic bed and breakfast deal the breakfast room was too loud and over crowded for my liking the selection was restrictive as a vegetarian the options are very much limited and the basic rooms are small mine didn't have a window just a sky light
nothing we did not like
Car parking is a joke. The wardens laid in wait during the day and were out ar 08:45 Sunday morning to catch anyone Late returning to their cars. This puts you off returning to Scarborough. Pity the council didn't get the road sweepers out at 08:45.
Location was perfect
room was minus 3 below ground the room was tiny and cramped the toilet made loud noises, the room smelt of damp and i was told they served breakfast until 10am but when we went down for breakfast at 9.35 they wouldnt allow s in
The B/fast.The company, and a good clean room with a good bed.
I loved the breakfast buffet, the entertainment is always great to watch, bar staff are friendly, cheap beer.
Sea view, comfort & food.
The service we received was first class one young lady in particular Lucy Waterworth is a credit to your hotel she was polite and was so helpfulShe made us feel so welcome
Having to queue for a drink in the evening only one bar serving main lounge and concert room
A single room made into a double room, poor bed and no space.
Value you for money happy hour 12-6pm room clean
Bed was uncomfortable fell in the middle
staff excellent. helpful, polite
tv in room prehistoric
great location and facilities
parking was problematic
had problems parking finished up getting a ticket
The hotel was busy but the staff always had time to help. I took my 90 year old mother and she thoroughly enjoyed it . It was ideal for our needs. We had a small twin room with A wonderful seaview near to the lift. The food was good and the drinks were reasonable.
The shower cubicle was very small which was a bit difficult for my mother. I also would have liked a bath mat and a toilet brush.
In a good location, breakfast was passable...
Dirty bed linen - there were a few large stains evident. Parking wasn't easy, had to search for a while to find somewhere nearby. The receptionist wasn't very helpful in this respect. The room was seriously dated, the shower was tiny and had black mould on the sealant and the grout was dirty. The window was filthy. Need I go on? We're used to better than this, but my expectations here weren't high at all, and I expect cleanliness as a basic at any price!
Location was great.
The fact you could not bring in take always from a night out even though it would not impact on any of the food we were having. The noise in the room from dripping water outside. And sounded like we were under the kitchen.
Good food and room
Location is great every thing is just a few minutes walk away. The staff are all friendly and will sort out any extra bedding etc you may need in your room
You can hear the music coming from the entertainment during the afternoon. We could put up with that but when the hotel had a private party booked on a Friday night the noise was so loud that we could not sleep and it went on until 24.30 pm. Do not go to this hotel if they have a private function booked .
bed was clean and comfy ,thats about all i supose when you pay 41 per night including breakfast you cant expect alot more!!
on arrival staff on reception wernt helpfull at all, we had to park 10 mins away and the dint explane the parking rules,we spent 20mins going up and down the lift trying to find out floor there are no sighs. its really like a hostel, the furniture is so old needs a revamp.and the breakfast even though its included in the price was cold, outdated equipment . not good quality food, but i spouse you get what you pay for
Location, hotel is very used but clean and friendly.
