not clean poor breakfast
Clean sheets and comfortable beds. Good breakfast.
Drab tired looking room, not particularly clean. There were lots of stains on the carpet. Although the sheets were clean the covers had holes in them. Not good value for money compared to other places that we have stayed. Needs updating.
Very convenient for getting around. Good friendly bar and staff, food was good, hot, quick, reasonably priced. Entertainment was ok.
Bed had metal fastenings under the top sheet.
Pleasant staff, Good breakfast
difficult parking, room needed refurbishment especially stained carpet which was old and creased up.
Location Cleanliness Value for money Good food Good beer Friendly staff
Staff great, service good
Room carpets etc need replacing
Very good value
Staff were very polite and helpful. Wifi was good and room comfortable with very nice shower. The hotel was situated less than half a mile from the bowls club which was only a ten minute walk.
Decor was a little tired and old fashioned.
Lively pub. Town centre. Views of South downs.
Thought no hot water at first! But ran through eventually and lots of it!
Size of room, four poster bed and free wifi
Shower was disgustingly dirty, carpets were a disgrace and cigerette butts left on window sills.
The room was relatively plain and simple which was good. Reasonably sized and very nice and warm. In walking distance of town centre. Ok for one night but wouldn't have stayed longer.
There was a condom on the floor outside the entrance of the hotel...not a nice start. When we arrived booking, com had not correctly relayed the information that it was for 2 adults and a child so they said they didn't think they had a room big enough but would try and move us around. The mirror had a crack straight through the middle which was dangerous for my 1 year old daughter. Quite a lot of noise from people hanging around by the station at night. Bed was hideously uncomfortable.
Every thing dirty carpts stained
Old furniture, smell of damp, falling wall paper, bugs and spiders on the room, TV not working, dust on the lampshade
friendly staff...nice atmosphere
location was good . bed was big and very comfortable , staff very friendly and the place had a good feel about it
en suite could do with a bit of an update
Very convenient to the railway station.
The Victorian architecture and fixture & fittings very nice.
Breakfast served until 9:30 at weekends! I would have expected this to be served until at least 10:00! Breakfast was pre-prepared, left on heated job in pots, which resulted in dried-up bacon & scrambled eggs. As we were on the front of hotel, there was noise from customers outside of building. Reasonable value but not as relaxinzzzz as expected!
It was close to the railway, comfortable bed, large bath very clean fab breakfast
air-con was just a fan :( lack of parking
Alright for one night.
No lift. Had to climb 6 flights of stairs.
Handy for railway station
This hotel is in urgent need of updating. The bed linen was clean but the bedspread was not. The carpet was stained and faded beyond belief which gave the impression that all was not as clean as it should be.
Noise from the bar
The staff are great - pleasant and friendly! The location is excellent because it is directly across from the train station.
nothing out standing
dodgy regular clientele also when we stayed there a fight broke out between a customer and a member of staff.
Friendly polite staff who did everything they could to help when they double booked the only travel cot. They went as far as going out and buying a brand new one. The breakfast was really nice, good quality ingredients and very tasty. The location right outside Worthing Train station.
Very loud music from the club in the bar directly under the rooms until 12am (on a Friday and 3am on a Saturday Night). We could hear the music word for word and feel the vibrations up through the floor and beds. This prevented our 4 month old baby getting to sleep and both of the adults as well. The free WiFi didn't work at all for the whole duration of the stay. No air conditioning but the facilities list clearly lists air conditioning in every room. The bar below has an outdoor seating area just outside the rooms which got very loud late at night with drunk people from the pub.
