With free parking, a restaurant and bar, this peaceful Edwardian hotel is beside the sea. You can smell the fresh, salty air even on a calm day.

The hospitality of the staff was excellent. Good clean accommodation. Very good breakfast.
The amount of people standing at the hotel/bar entrance smoking which permiated inside. Also the cigeratte butts outside the entrance.
Lovely four poster bed, convenient location.
No bath, just a shower.
I like the hotel because it is a very traditional one. It's location to central Worthing, the station and buses is excellent.
Everything was fine.
The way in which breakfast is organised and also the person who was there to look after the customer at breakfast time, she was awefull , also the cleaning lady had her products all over the place at breakfast so it was like having jays fluid mixed with the cereals, not good.
Bar staff (barman) were friendly they also greeted us the following morning during breakfast. Bar lunch and breakfast was good.
no receptionist on arrival we had another guest call on his mobile to front desk to get assistance, they said they had free Wi-Fi this was so poor they might as well not advertise this. We requested a family room with a view (as per the web it showed the room to be one double plus two single beds not sofa beds this would have been perfect for my older son) and we got a small room with one double bed and one pull out sofa bed for our 16 year old with a view of the street.
Heating in rooms too warm
hotel needs a hoover
Fairly central location
Room did get very hot but we just opened the windows
Very loud foul language in bar due to football, went out to eat instead of dining at hotel
I stayed in room 7 , what a room ,very large with private bathroom up three stairs lovely big corner bath , all just been revamped, didn't mind me having a takeaway in the room,
Only small thing was that the 1st night I stayed there was karaoke downstairs in the bar but it was all over by 9.45
The staff were excellent, very polite service very quick
Room was a bit cramped with not enough room to put a bedside table (2 beds pushed together) I wear glasses so had nowhere to put them, also the light switches were covered by the bed headboards, otherwise hotel was lovely with a very ornate interior
The food was really good and the staff were friendly and helpful.
I didn't have WiFi as it was a locked signal and I didn't have the password.
Room was lovely.... loved the old fashioned decor lots of character.
The bathroom let the room down...
Room was freezing, had to wear clothes to bed. Breakfast area cold and drafy - cold breakfast. No service to speak of. Generally run down and dirty.
Everything except the bed
The bed was clean but way past its sell by date there comes a time that a bed needs renewing this time has long past for this exceptionally well kept clean hotel room
Had a nice stay, found it hard to sleep but not to Tha fact my girlfriend was on top of me, clean and nice rooms comfy beds, but could be better
Poor staff last stay here was dirty chewing gum in carpet and stains and dirty bedsheets very old, this statuses fine though
Nothing, NOTHING was good.
Nobody in the reception, NEVER. We didn't have HOT WATER, and it was freezing, all the rooms. Worst hotel of my entire life.
Location superb & there is convenient car parking nearby. Room was nice, spacious & clean. Shower gel and soap provided. Full English breakfast (buffet) fantastic.
Only a small point but, important, had trouble locking the door due to faulty lock.
Just across the road from station
How welcoming the staff and the locals in the bar was, had a great night
We always stay in the four poster bed room as love the feel of the room and the bed is very glam. We mainly stay as we love the people who run the hotel and pub as they are always so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble
Some features need refreshing and as it was winter a recommendation would be to put the heating on before the guests arrive.
The welcome as ever was wonderful and the food was excellent. I've stayed many times and love the pub atmosphere. The rooms have now been refurbished with new carpets and decorations and it was a huge improvement. Absolutely excellent value for money.
bedroom comfortable and a good size on the top floor fairly quiet
Bathroom in need of some maintenance work clean but tired
On arrival greeted by loads of drunks shouting .. Inside was no better .. Having to walk through the pub to go to the bar to book in .. This was an unwelcoming place and certainly not a safe and comfortable environment for any traveller to stay at especially any women travelers . Would not recommend this to anyone .
Hair left all in the bath sink was blocked really cold as heating was rubbish
