Girlfriend booked this stay for us as we booked to see Charlie and the chocolate factory at Londons drury lane!!Location is fantastic, and drury lane was only a short walk away:)Hotel was fabulous in every way....All I would say is watch the breakfast price,at nearly £24pp it paid for us to book room only and eat breakfast out!!
no lighting in the bedroom, couldn't see much once the sun went down
Stayed for 1 night with offer from booking.com which was very affordable. Didn't have breakfast in hotel so just used to stay overnight. Hotel in quiet position but just 5 mins walk away from city centre. Excellent value
Rooms are spacious with high ceilings . Bathrooms are nice but small. Area is quiet with a good choice of restaurants near the British museum .
Breakfast is expensive but they give you a lot of choices. Checkout time is 11AM seems early but probably normal.
Rooms are relatively small and definitely not sound proof. Guess the price is purely for location
Amazing location with lovely rooms and huge bed! Staff really lovely and happy to help.
Way too hot, the radiators should NEVER be turned on haha.
Hotel is very central.. Its sits just around the corner from the British Museum.. There is also a lovely park nearby and you are also near the tubes.. Really comfortable stay with friendly and helpful staff
Breakfast was a bit pricey..
Room was a bit warm for the cool summer evenings we spent there
Houskeeping: I sayed at the hotel for 21 days and some malfunction of the bathroom was never corrected.
The location was perfect for my needs, easy to get to places on foot and tube close by. Taking into consideration the high price of hotels in London, this was good value. Staff very helpful and courteous.
The double room I was originally assigned was so small I could not open my suitcase and there wasn't a suitcase stand or even room for one. I had been travelling for 3 weeks and my case was medium large. I was given another room and then told it was an upgrade after I made it clear I did not want an upgrade. My cousin had a double room which was twice the size of my original room. The small room was 102 and her's was 204. I will stay here again when I'm in London and will request 204!
The location next to the British Museum
No air-conditioning. Ceiling fans are NOT the same - when booking we were fooled by a review which referred to an air conditioning fan. We boiled at night in hot weather even with two fans running and windows open. Charging per hour or day for wifi in this day and age!! Staff explained that its free in Grange 5 star hotels but not in the 4 star hotels. WHY? Staff who could not tell us the last time tea in the garden could be served - after 3 attempts at asking to be told 3 times we could have it now (4.30) we gave up and later went to a nearby restaurant.
The staff was pleasant The breakfast rooms were nice The room was okay.
The staff didn't know anything The WiFi didn't work Callers were told I wasn't registered. Room cleaned too late in the day Cramped, useless public space
The location is superb - close enough to walk to the theatres, West End shops etc and about as close as it gets to the British Museum. The bonus is the area itself is nice and quiet. Comfy bed. View over garden and British Museum.
We paid just shy of £400 for two nights in an upgrade "executive" room. It wasn't that roomy and the bathroom was tiny and narrow. Wide angle lens photography used to goof effect. The mini bar was some cans of coke, water and a four low-end miniatures on a table. They do offer an ice service if warm coke is not your thing.
Good bed and decent washing facilities. The coffee and tea facility also appreciated. Breakfast room very good.
Room cramped with extra bed, tended to get very hot and humid.
Great staff, cleanliness, easy reach of West End Theatres
A little too pricey
Friendly staff. Good location
Couldn't get tv to work - not a problem
Room looked amazing bed was very comfortable staff very polite and helpful
Room was very hot though and air conditioning fan was noisy also the cleaner had forgotten to refill our compliments tray
Friendly Helpful n knowledgable Good location Quite
Bathtub was hard to get in n out of No refrigerator Tv had no cable Breakfast was fair
Very convenient location, it's just around the corner of the British museum and minutes walk to tube station. Friendly and helpful staff.
Better to have free access of wifi is preferable.
Quiet but central location Bath, comfortable bed
Price of breakfast - we weren't prepared to pay £17 for a continental breakfast
excellent location - very peaceful, with beautiful gardens to relax in. Staff on front desk very welcoming.
room a little small, but suitable for our stay of one night only. We've stayed before in a ground floor garden room, so would ask for this next time we visit.
Really nice rooms, comfy bed, all we needed for a short stay.
£23 for a full breakfast in a cold room, just venture out for something at a more realistic price.
This is a small intimate hotel tucked behind the BM. The bathrooms are huge and luxurious while the guest room itself retains the original architecture and soaring ceilings. There is complimentary fresh fruit in your room at all times, wake-up calls are prompt, and the staff is a delight.
Location was great, hotel staff very helpful and friendly.
Very small room, no refrigirater in the room
