It's got a decent sized pool you can swim in (not one of those tiddly fancy things for posing in that hotels sometimes call pools).
Location a tad inconvenient for my plans, but great if you want to see the Tower.
Most things. The view was appalling. I asked for a nice view as it was my wife's birthday. I got a view of a train track...nice. lobby smelled of cabbage and room was average
Fab pool Staff very helpful Comfy beds spacious rooms Right next to the tube station
Breakfast was too expensive £23 !
Staff were very pleasant and a good location.
The jacuzzi was cold with grit cirrculating around it and booked this hotel over others primarily for the facilities.. very disappointing. No dressing gown / slippers in an executive room. Marks on the bedsheets.
Location, 50 yards from tube station, 100 yards from Tower of London, comfort of bed, staff were exceptional - great location, easy to get around, walk to lots of other London sights
Conveniently next to a tube station
No parking. Nearby parking is expensive. Rooms are drafts and in dire need of a revamp. Feels like it was marked 5 star 5 years ago!
1) We had no hot water... 2) Guest relations failed to reply email... 3) Duty manager calls my phone four times in five minutes and doesn't use voicemail... 4) GM fails to call me back after... leaving two messages in a day 5) Head office fails to acknowledge any wrong doing after all the above... 6) Hotel was meant to have sent back my phone charger since Monday (today is Friday) and has still not arrived... Totally ridiculous..!!!
For the first time I was disappointed. Room 1107 is the worst room I have had and considering had upgraded I was very disappointed. there was a permanent droning noise, possibly air conditioning units, which stopped us from sleeping and the duvet which I guess was once feather was lumpy and uncomfortable. This was not what I book Grange City for and am considering cancelling my booking at the end of January and looking for alternative accommodation.
We were staying with our 12 year old son. On returning to our room on the 2rd floor we could hear very loud music. When we phoned the reception we were informed that it would be finishing at midnight. The hotel staff did find us another room and helped us move. However, it was quite inconvenient at 9 pm. Wish we were warned when booking.
The hotel looked slightly dated but other than that we had a great weekend
Got upgraded to a suite for free, room was amazing with a great view! Sauna, steam room and aromatherapy room were great!
Pool and jacuzzi were disappointing…pool was laned which made it difficult to relax and the jacuzzi wasn't hot enough!
The penthouse was amazing, great views, comfortable and had everything you could want from a good hotel. The Staff are nice, the food excellent also and the location is perfect for the City, the Tube and the Thames river boats. Perfect!!
The location ,most staff are pleasant and obliging , but those who are senior mainly. view was great with an upgrade Health club was a good addition.
Some staff are undertrained and not informed.. Need full training. A mother tongue supervisor should be around to oversee all the time especially for business travellers. I have found this a problem before with the Grange Group ! room service slow ... staff try to help but often unsure ,new to the job , foreigners \(good but all ?)
Nice location; excellent staff; very clean and luxurious; nice breakfast with a lot of choice
lifts make a lot of noise; choice in main restaurant is very limited ;
Gorgeous hotel with really friendly staff. Fantastic cocktail bar. Lovely swimming pool, with saunas and steam rooms. An excellent hotel, which we will definitely be returning to.
It was a shame, our spa massage was cancelled at short notice as we were really looking forward to that.
The bed was good
Poor heating, Luke warm water, views of trains
Excellent staff,room and service
Bit of a maze, kept getting lost
This hotel is situated in an excellent location and a 30 second walk to the tube station which was brilliant. Lovely clean and modern room with a beautiful view looking over tower bridge and the river, definitely recommend asking for a view! All in all a great stay and would love to return again.
Location was a stones throw from Tower Hill tube.
Really looked dated. Could do with a modern twist. Especially the Isis bar
The hotel is close to the tube station.
The hotel is close to a construction site. The lifts got stuck and after a terrifying experience the staff didn't ask whether we were OK and ignored the whole matter. The room's window was facing a wall that was two feet away.
Complimentary Upgrade to bigger room with fab view
Bistro was closed
Room cleaner went in room tomaneytime
Staff welcoming and helpful. Lovely meal at the restaurant which was reasonably priced. Pleasant ambience. It seemed as though facilities were good but we only stayed one night.
Bed hard and uncomfortable. Pushed 2 chairs together so daughter could sleep. I slept on extra pillows under back to relieve the discomfort which made me hot. No teaspoon with the cups. No extra mug for our daughter. No hot chocolate.
Location was fantastic right outside Tower of London and next to Tower Hill tube station.
Very expensive hotel. Mini bar extortionate! Requirement to pay for stay upon checking in rather than check out!
