Grange Lodge was very friendly and accommodating and busininesslike at the same time. The location was great, as it was about a 15 minute walk into town, so didn't need transport at all. Breakfast was extremely good and very well presented, with a lot of choice. We were allowed to leave our cases at Grange Lodge on the day we were leaving, picking them up later on the way to the station. There would not be any hesitation in returning!!

Sara and her partner made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were excellent and the bedroom comfortable. Location was very good as it was only 10 mintues to the city centre but the accommodation was in a quiet road which was good. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Quiet location, ten minute stroll to York town centre and a 20 minute walk to the train station. Breakfast tasty and nourishing, with the host being friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, but the facilities were modern and very clean. Street parking could be problem, but this b&b is good value!

Rooms were very small. Bathroom our friends had was so cold they couldnt use it. In our room the head board was held to the wall with a large screw and the whole thing fell off . Very overpriced!

All very straight forward and efficient. Nice room, clean room, very warm. Walls in the room were a little thin. Not a big problem though as I think guests tend to be quiet.

The owners very attentive and friendly. Our room, though small, was perfect for a one night stay. It was spotlessly clean and warm. The breakfast was lovely and it was only a short walk into the city. We will definitely stay again.

The whole thing was excellent, the owners were very friendly and welcoming and helped as much as they possibly could, The room was a great size and very pretty and clean. All in all it was perfect. However we had terribly noisy neighbors, We understand that it was new years eve and it would be loud, but there was no need for the music being that loud for so long, they had no respect for the other residents, the reason we booked a hotel was to get away from our neighbors at home, to try get some peace and quiet, which we didn't get, and I didn't appreciate having to pay for both the night stays even though we didn't even stay for one of them, what a waste of £145!

The food was nice. The owners were very friendly. And the room was clean. The room was very small with little room to open a suitcase. The decor was very tired. Although the en suite was more modern and spotlessly clean. It didnt look anything like the photos on the internet.

We really enjoyed our stay at this guest house. The place was very clean and homely and the proprieters were very friendly and helpful. My wife and I enjoyed the food and were pleased that they catered for vegetarians. Easy walk into york town centre made it an ideal location. I would reccomend this guest house.
