The lady who ran the Grange Lodge was very welcoming and did all she could to help me. The room was very good and the breakfast in the morning was well cooked. The Grange Lodge was extremely good value for the price I paid. There was no shampoo or body wash in the shower. But apart from this I had an excellent stay. |

Whis was not a hotel!! I didn't realise I was booking a guest house! The only good things I can say is the water was hot and the breakfast was good. The room was so small you could hardly move. The matress was hard and uncomfortable. The fixtures and fittings were poor as was the bedroom furniture. No room for clothes, bags etc. It was so small you could sit on the loo and brush your teeth over the sink at the same time! |

i would strongly recommend this hotel to everyone. The owners are friendly, the room is perfect havin being cleverly refurbished with all the facilities you can think of, even a lcd tv with digital channels. the location is perfect if you'd like to go by walk. All of this for 35 pounds is a bargain, mates! |

staff courteous and very helpful, rooms nicely appointed with jacuzzi tub and in wall television, short walk to sights in York. Great breakfast included, room rates very reasonable. |

Ideal location to explore York. Very friendly owners, very clean, excellent breakfast. Our room was very tiny. Round the double bed you hardly could go round. The bathroom very tiny too (very new) There,s no room to put your soap or shower gal into the shower. |

The guest house is very comfortable and quiet, with modern and attractive rooms. The twin room at the top of the house is really lovely. Amazing to find a jacuzzi and TV in the ensuite bathroom! Breakfast was great |

Friendly and relaxed welcome both on the telephone and on arrival. A pleasant family atmosphere but also professional and meticulous. Breakfast provided a good choice - including kippers, my absolute favourite! I shall certainly return and also recommend for value, quality, friendliness and good service. The room was small (as I expected) but cleverly designed and beautifully presented. The room would be too small for two people so I should have been quite happy with a smaller bed to allow a little more room to move around. Mind you, the bed was extremely comfortable! |
