The breakfasts were delicious - can't fault them at all. Made to order with the freshest produce :) We were given a lovely clean room with a large bay window which suited us fine :) The flatscreen tv also had a dvd player which was great... Nice homely atmosphere, hardly any noise at all from other guests or from outside as it was situated on a quiet residential street. Close enough to all the things York has to offer too :)

Good quiet location not too far away from city centre, nice family atmosphere, very friendly hosts, our room was quite small but still very cosy, recommend the full English breakfast was cooked to perfection. No problems with parking directly outside the property.

Single room is very small and washbasin in shower so small it's next to useless. Would recommend single room only for a short stay. Entry via coded key pad a bit fiddly.

Very welcoming and informative. Comfortable beds, deliscious breakfast, good quality local produce. Well organised parking arrangements, 10 minute walk to York minster.

B&B run by friendly and helpful couple. Very comfortable accomodation, room and bathroom good size and maintained to high standard. Short pleasant walk to city centre. Delicious breakfasts with good choice.

It was very familiar and very clean and nice. The street is very quiet and the owners are very friendly. The breakfast was very good and we felt really confortable there.

Staff were excellent and always willing to help if needed. Literature on the city was available form the hotel. The room was fantastic, very comfortable, clean and thoroughly enojoyed the spa bath and the bed was extremely comfortable. Close proximity to the city centre, therefore fabulous location and close to restaurants and local attractions.

The Grange Lodge was like home from home. You were made to feel very welcome. Parking permit provided for all guests. Excellent breakfast and plenty of choice for all diets/requirements. Great location 10 minutes stroll to York Minster. Would stay there again and would recommend to friends and family.

Location was good about a 5/10 minute walk from centre I found the hotel staff patronising. The TV in the bathroom did not work and the shower was very weak and only just warm. We could not get hot water in our room so to fill the bath we were using the kettle when we explained this to the owners they disregarded it and did not do anything about it. Our room was cold, it bad heated towel rack and radiator but neither worked. The breakfast was poor, when I asked for a bacon sandwich they told me they didn't do sandwiches and wouldn't do one for me and the portion size was poor. I was very annoyed and upset during my stay and felt like I had paid a lot of money for something definitely not worth it.

The hotel Staff were very friendly and couldnt do enough for us. The room was nice and cosy and price was good. Close to town centre, easy to find.

Extremely welcoming and friendly owners who were very happy to recommend places to eat and drink. A lot more welcoming to a young couple than other places we have stayed at. Room was a bit small but still quite nice.

Rooms were very small. Bathroom our friends had was so cold they couldnt use it. In our room the head board was held to the wall with a large screw and the whole thing fell off . Very overpriced!
