Reasonably comfortable room
Nowhere to sit at breakfast - tables weren't cleared; non-functional wifi; bar area a bit downmarket
The staff were excellent. They were very helpful and cheerful.
The shower was a bit of problem as it just dribbled out and as not very hot.
Food was excellent. Staff where friendly.
I did not like having to walk down the road after having a nice meal and drink to the other part of the hotel.
The area, the friendly staff and the food, all very good.
The room was clean and tidy also warm.
Was sold a breakfast which was nothing like the picture on the menu. Very misleading and frankly wrong for them to do so.
Stayed overnight for office Christmas party. Was convenient and comfortable.
Location good. Chantelle, excellent member of staff. Although there were functions going on that evening the noise was not even noticeable. Excellent breakfast, great value.
No butter available (breakfast)
Staff were so helpful, despite the restaurant being very busy with Christmas parties. Room small but comfortable. Clean and totally adequate. Food excellent, dinner and breakfast.
Outside my room was the ventilator flue from the kitchen. I thought I might have difficulty sleeping but it was OK
The location to Maidstone. The hotel is most unusual in that it is 3 original houses linked to form a hotel. Therefore there are stairs that go up and down and through various doors to get to your room. Very strange when carrying suitcases!!! The room was clean and old fashioned in styling.
The soft mattress that need replacing. The up and down stair links between the buildings which made it difficult with luggage. The bar area was small and linked to the dining room area.
Was in the annexe which was definitely tired with dirty nets and well worn chair
Convenience and location
Noise from adjacent rooms
The staff, service and general atmosphere were excellent. So was the food.
The single room was rather small and the music from the kitchen was a bit loud, especially early in the morning.
I phoned to ask for a quiet room and the lady was very accommodating. There was even a dinner dance on and you couldn't hear it. Everything was comfortable. Good value for money.
Nothing at all
ALL staff being friendly and helpful.
I think that 2 pillows should be on the single bed as a matter of course.
Menu, staff courtesy, location. Night porter help.
Stay too short.....
Fantastic hotel staff were polite and friendly will definitely go back again
There was nothing not to like
Had room in second part of hotel that didn't have a reception, and a group of lads were in there making noise in the early hours. Response when reported not great.
Staff very friendly - nothing too much trouble. Always polite and courteous.
Would have liked to have a fridge in room as daughter on a special diet and it was necessary to bring food in at times.
staff were helpful
Just a nice friendly feel about the place
Staff,value for money.
bed was next to a thin wall and I heard everything in the walkway beside it, doors opening, chatting.
Everything .. It was perfect and will definitely come here again x
People are nice. The staff and the other guests. Warm, pleasant, happy getting on with whatever they're doing. Rooms are OK. Clean, with the usual facilities. En-suites are spotless.
When I travel I bring a tumbler from home. Thick glass to minimise likelihood of breakage. One evening I was drinking neat whisky and left half a glass on the bedside cabinet. When I left for work, I expected the glass and the whisky to be there on my return. It wasn't. I get it, a glass to a cleaner might appear to be one of the hotel glasses. Except mine had lots of whisky in it. Also, my glass doesn't look like any of the hotels. So I informed reception, we went on various hunts around the bar area - for about 2 minutes - no tumbler. Meant each day I'd ask about my glass. Reception always sure "someone" saw it, but it was never found. Oh well, whisky was worth more than the glass. I've been at that hotel several times. I ALWAYS park neatly within the lines and spaces of the car park. One morning, one of the hotel staff cars was parked so closely to the drivers side of my car that a hamster couldn't have opened the door to get in. OK, so I got into passenger side of my car and rolled car back. Not very nice was it? To have to do this when I'm a respectable car park user. A couple of bulbs in the room didn't work, simple bulb replacement needed - I checked. Shame.
