location is perfect, right next to st pauls cathedral. staff were very friendly. would be sure to come back!
only 2 lifts in lobby, very very busy at check out. view was of a back alley where workmen were digging up the road.
Perfect location for our weekend plans and super views from the roof terrace. Very comfortable and reasonably quiet twin room, a double bed each and good bathroom with bath and separate shower, slippers and robes. Charming and efficient service on reception during check in and out plus instant access to our room well before standard check in time.
Bath towels rather small and not very soft, lifts slow majority of the time. Service very poor in Silks Bar, on a quiet evening 3 staff behind the bar but we had to go up to order (I did confirm that they were supposed to come to our table) Cocktails took ages to arrive and were poor quality, nobody came over to see whether we wanted another drink and after a long wait I had to go to the bar again to pay as we were again being ignored. No atmosphere in any of the bars or public areas, several functions/conferences going on during our visit so maybe not interested in guests staying for leisure rather than business.
Everything! The hotel was fantastic, staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were very modern and clean. I even mentioned it was my girlfriends birthday at the desk and the next thing room service knocked on the door with some complimentary cupcakes! Would recommend to anyone
Room very good Pleasant and efficient staff Great location
Poor breakfast, expensive and cold Not all lifts working meaning waiting ages to go up and down
I love this hotel, the location and comfort, real quality, always makes me smile.
It does take a long time to check in and check out, more importantly on check out when I am in a rush but waited 15 minutes behind people organising their mail, arranging afternoon tea, it might be good to have a check out only desk for those travelling on business and need to be a bit quicker getting out
Location. Amenities. Staff. The Hotel. Accessibility.
We been to the Grange three times. first time was for my daughters friend birthday party when she was 12yrs. Her father did some work for the Grange hotel and decided to hold his daughter b/day party there 4yrs ago. Since then my daughter cannot go anywhere else when we want to stay in London. We have stayed at the Premier Inn which was nothing compare to the Grange. We had her 14th b/day party for her and her friends. We went on a family weekend and also held our son's 18th b/day their this year. My son was so surprise when a cake for his b/day was brought to his room.
I wasn't please with the staff in the Spa they were rude to my daughter and her friends about entering the Spa. They had to come and get myself to confirm their stay. When I booked the Executive Suite for my son the room wasn't has large compare to the details and pictures on the Grange website.
Very quiet location in a side street; the Spa, wellness centre and location ideal for St.Pauls, Golden Hind, The Globe, the Shard and the Sunday market. The friendly and helpful (if not well informed) Staff. We asked for and were provided with complimentary water.
The Sky Bar opens only for private parties so the website is misleading. Only one restaurant in the hotel. Location not ideal for Saturday shopping as most shops are closed. However, underground to Oxford St etc., 6 min walk and 12 mins journey. Not advised by reception to put on the "clean room" sign when going out, so room not cleaned. TV did not work on day 2. Door key did not work on day 2.
Location Clean Staff Rooms
It was a nice experience. The concierge was very helpful and someone was always ready to help. I'll go there again!
I needed a shower after a long trip there and could only use the disabled shower in the spa. It was messy as the shower head got water over the whole place! I think it needs some attention.
The spa treatment was excellent. The location was also very convenient both for sightseeing the Tower and St. Paul's, as well as an evening at the Theatre.
Long queues to check in and check out; uncooperative lifts; our room not being tidied or the bed made; breakfast was an 'extra' and not part of the room price. We will not be paying another visit to this hotel.
Great location for our trip. Excellent standard, clean, very stylish hotel, staff welcoming and professional. We had an issue with our hot water tap in our bathroom, I contacted reception and they sent a maintenance guy to resolve the situation promptly.
The hotel location, atrium design, bathroom and power shower.
The breakfast: we were shown to a table with no teaspoons (we had to ask), no condiments (the adjoining table had 2 peppers & no salt). The worst cup of tea I have ever had the misfortune to drink (like dishwater: so weak and no flavour)& when asked for a replacement cup it was only marginally better. Why can't a 5* hotel provide teapots at breakfast rather than serve tea out of flasks?
modern look of rooms/hotel Well equipped quiet rooms Cleanliness Nice Hotel deco Free wifi throughout Free use of the Spa Professional, efficient & nice staff Great location, easy access
Quick check in. Excellent leisure facilities. Car park near by. Clean, tidy & comfortable room. Extras-mini bar, slippers, dressing gown. Excellent decor.
Card was swipped on arrival @ £50 extra than quoted price, with no explanation. Had to go back & ask why this had happened,& was explained that it was a 'holding deposit'. Main lift; took abit too long to use. One of the leisure facilities wasnt open. Breakfast too expensive.
The loaction was perfect for the tourist attractions. Our room was lovely and we asked for a quiet room and we weren't disappointed
Both bars were full when we arrived back from dinner so we had to sit in the open lounge area which felt like we were sitting in a hall. The lighting from the advertising boards was very harsh and we didn't stay for more than 1 drink before retiring.
location hotel itself
waiting lines for check in/out
I love the room the pool and the gym all were fantastic.
The mirror around the hot tub was a little worn tho. and the shower room door kept leaking water everywhere. but apart from that all was a great stay and thank you for having us.
It's my second time staying here and l have enjoyed both times . The breakfast is great, lots of variety and the rooms are roomy. Would stay here again.
The location is great for taking in the historic sights of London. The room was a good size with excellent facilities. Spacious modern and great value. Spa an added bonus.
We had a really good experience.
the spacious room, the friendly stuff, the comfortable beds, it is good situated to explore London
the wellness area is a bit cramped, sometimes we were waiting a long time for the coffee at breakfast
Nice modern hotel.
Had to request maid service 10.30pm at night.
Great hotel - location was brilliant. Hotel itself was lovely inside and out. Staff were excellent. Oh and amazing cocktails, better than in The shard!
Thought it was a little - just a little overpriced.
Bedroom & bathroom - contemporary, stylish, very comfortable. Decent wi fi. Staff polite. Didn't eat there but restaurant and bars looked nice. Didn't have time for the spa or pool either. Rooftop bar looked lovely. Fantastic location, right next to St Paul's. Easy to arrive on foot from Blackfriars station. We stayed as a family group in 3 rooms for a wedding. Lovely weekend. Would recommend the hotel.
Breakfast was expensive and we were 'room only' so we ate at Cafe Rouge on the corner both mornings, much better value and very convenient.
