Great location. Less than five minute walk from the tube station.
Room was very very small, as was the shower cubicle.
The room was modern and had a good sized bathroom
The staff had a very poor level of understanding of the English language and so to check in was extremely difficult, they didn't even know what a VAT invoice was. The twin room we had booked was very tiny and we were grateful we were only staying for one night! I personally found the bed very hard however I do appreciate this is very much personal opinion.
Tube station has great links Hotel is only a short walk away Well stocked supermarkets nearby, with good choice or pubs and restaurants in close proximity We got a great night's sleep
Check in was very long winded Breakfast was expensive at £18 pp if not included Lift was tiny and only just fit 2 people with suitcases
Nice location near Imperial college and Kensington Garden
A tiny bathroom! You cannot completely open the door of the shower. You have to hold the shampoo on your hand (no place to put it on during shower)
Quiet location and hotel. Close to museums and Hyde Park. Close to tube stations.
Was expected to pay an additional £18 per person for breakfast.
location - we were attending a concert at the Albert Hall - 5 minutes walk. Nice area Lovely Edwardian/Victorian ambiance
On the 'Downton Abbey' scale our accommodation was definitely more Daisy than the Dowager! I have no objection to sleeping in the 'servants quarters' but i do object slightly to them being labelled and priced as 4 star!!
Very good position for Royal Albert Hall Very clean and comfortable
Breakfast poor for the money Room incredibly small
great location and lovely building
standard single rooms are extreemly small and seem really overprized.
small cramped bedroom, no bath, definitely did not feel like a 4 star hotel
room 422 was lovely, nicely decorated and so quiet we were able to experience a totally un disturbed night's sleep in London which is rare. Nice big sash windows that opened up high
no lift on the Sunday meaning we had to walk up four rather long flights of stairs but when we queried this we were offered a continental breakfast as compensation silly and confusing TV controls - one worked all aspects of the TV other the volume quite small room and awkward bath
Friendly staff, proper
very expensive breakfast, Wifi and very small room for much money
The staff were fine & to a degree helpfull. We asked for a room at the back because of the front main road being noisy but were told this was not possible, however we had a phone call the following day to ask if we still wanted to move. As we had unpacked & only there for one more night we did not feel it was worthwhile. The second night, a saturday it was less noisy & slept better. The continental breaffast was good with staff helpfull. We have stayed in numerous London hotels over the years (More often than not The Hilton near Shepherds Bush where the same type of twin room are double the size & priced up to now less than the £274 I paid this time. This hotel was more convenient for the Albert Hall which is why we booked for a concert on the Saturday night but we will revert to the Hilton in future.
For a room that was called superior we found surprising as it was smaller than our smallest bedroom of four in a reasonably modern house. Infact it was cramped. When looking at the ceiling, the original room must have been split into four. I did ask reception if all the superior rooms were the same size to be advised yes.
Lovely hotel , my 5 year old son loved it , didn't want to leave! Deffo stay there again, great location
The tv was a nightmare to work!!
Entrance, reception waiting area
Blinds didn't work and so had to leave them open all night allowing peering eyes and all street light, in order to allow some breeze in, as their is no AC.
Room was exactly what I wanted and was very clean and tidy
Location is excellent close to Cromwell rod but quiet Modern, clean rooms Comfy bed, pillows, nice touch with magazines Staff was very helpful managed to check in 1h earlier Very elegant bar, not too expensive drinks at the Bar
The bathroom was modern but too small no air con which was hard when London was very hot bathroom extractor did not work
Location, staff, views over the park and square. Although the rooms have no air con, in 30 degree temperatures, the high ceilings helped greatly in improving the ventilation.
no water jugs in the bar to mix with the single malt whiskey, had to use another glass to mix our drinks
it is a good quality hotel within easy reach of the royal albert hall where I sing with the really big chorus.
I would just have liked a little more space to keep my clothes in eg a small set of drawers or some shelving apart from the wardrobe. However, I would not like this to be taken as a complaint, more a suggestion as both my wife and I have stayed in your hotel before and, as before, very much enjoyed our stay in your hotel and the peacefulness and charm of both the hotel and the immediate area.
Near by the Royal Albert Hall.
Wifi was not free. Lift is very small but we were on the first floor so it didn't matter. Room was warm, there is no air conditioning. Still a good room and a great location.
Excellent location for the Royal Albert Hall
Location was very good for the travelling we wanted to do...
Bed was very firm, pillows very flat... Other than that all very good
That Wifi was not free.
Everything is fine
Very nice building. Made welcome. Good facilities. Kept traditional look of building. Comfortable and nice atmosphere
Tight bathroom space. Slow service in bar
