I found the welcome, and room excellent and comfortable, with the kitchen very useful,
Bed was a bit soft for me.. And wi_fi very poor..
The peace and quiet, the very well stocked kitchen. I had a ground floor room as i am disabled and it was perfect for me, This room had direct access to the car park.
There was nothing NOT to like.
No wi-fi, no twin rooms with garden view, small room
Every thing you could need was at the end of a bell; the owner was totally into customer service.
The peace and quiet and the chance to unwind and recharge our batteries
Own kitchen facilities giving complete freedom from hotel timescales. Beautiful garden with lovely view from our room. Friendly and helpful staff/owner.
In need of some TLC as looking tired in parts. Some work is being/has been done but it could be so much better. Just simple things such as having the carpet cleaned would help.
The staff that greeted us were lovely and very accommodating. The room was a good size with good facilities. We couldn't fault the place
The little kitchenette in the room is a good idea so that you don't have to leave the room for breakfast or mind making your own. The garden and view from our room was lovely.
The rooms need a good clean. Thick with dust and found other peoples hair in the bed and en suite. I didn't want to use the shower in the morning.. Or use the kettle for a cup of tea after looking inside it!
Quiet, peaceful location but close to town. Parking available. Kitchenette in room.
MADE VERY WELCOME,MY ROOM HAD EVERYTHING I NEEDED .IN ALL VERY GOOD.
Come and go as you please. Option to make food/sandwiches to take out for the day. Quiet location
Bathroom bin needs renewing
Waited back on their own time for late arrival. Everything you need in the room, Iron, Sink, Breakfast, Bathroom, TV.
There was everything i needed in the room. The view, the garden.
The smell of smoke on the petson who took me to my room
Friendly and helpful welcome. Well-stocked choice of breakfast options. Quiet location. No problem finding the Guest House.
Just a personal preference, but the bed was so soft compared to ours at home, we didn't sleep as well as we wished.
Lovely house set in beautiful grounds with a fantastic view. Good price. Would stay again if booked in to garden view room.
Small room. view of road and no facilities outside of room. However to be fair facilities in room were comprehensive with microwave ect.
Very amenable, willing to let us booking early and very friendly
As it was a hot day the room was a bit stuffy, could of done with a fan. Also the plug in smellie was very overpowering
Lovely room, wonderful views, friendly staff and so nice not having to get dressed for breakfast in the morning! We had a balcony room upstairs which was mainly quiet and relaxing. Everything provided in the kitchen and we added to as required. Enjoyable stay.
Room and bathroom was clean but the kitchen bin was smelly and needed a good clean. Didn't like the early morning alarm call by the owners dogs yapping in the garden. It was the only time we heard them but would rather have woken up to bird song!
1. very helpful staff 2. great facility 3. very clean & tidy 4. beautiful garden 5. this is just perfect for staying in Melton Mowbray
Breakfast could only be taken in the room. We thus missed any contact with the other guests, which can be interesting. Otherwise the breakfast was good enough, though obviously there was no possibility for hot dishes. So no Full English breakfast, which is the norm for a good B&B.
The Location, staff, and all round appearances of this establishment could not be faulted. I would imagine that the Winter snows the whole place would be like Switzerland, MAGIC.
There was nothing to not like.
Our hosts picked up pork pie for us whilst in town and sourced a red wine for us to enjoy in garden great memories
If we had been treated with more respect ,and got the service that was due ,we would have given a better review ,its a lovely place ,but wont go again because of this ,
service very poor ,no-one came to greet us even though we rang a bell ,and were told she wasnt impressed with us as did not believe we rang .got in only because the door was ajar . the breakfast not continental, and needs to learn some manners
Nice quiet location Beautiful gardens Friendly polite staff Clean comfortable room
Owner friendly and helpful
Bed....too soft for us
