Convenient location for where I wanted to go. Adequate bathroom. Reception only just verging on polite and not even beginning to pretend to be welcoming. Greeted with the words "you have to pay on arrival and there's a 2% charge for paying by credit card. Tiny room. No room for a bedside light or table so if you wanted a light on in the night had to get up and switch main light on. Tiny television that didn't work. Apparently cleaners had unplugged one of the cables going into it. When it did finally get plugged in, television picture could only be seen while standing up in the room. As soon as I laid on the bed the angle was wrong and the picture turned almost like a negative on a photograph. Rendered television totally useless. When I told reception in the morning the news was greeted with a shrug of indifference. Couldn't face the prospect of sampling breakfast. Will never stay here again.

The room, bathroom, towels and sheets were always clean. My room was very quiet. The staff was helpful. The breakfast is good. If it's just to spend the night the hotel is ok. The heater is weak and it doesn't reach the bathroom, so it might be a problem in the winter. The charge for using wi fi is 3 pounds per day (!!!!). The hairdryer is a joke, better take yours. The room and bathroom are small but it's ok just to spend the night, if you need to stay in the hotel during the day it might not be comfortable. There were little wrong things like: 1st day there were insects flying, two other days was missing towel or it was wet, but nothing that spoiled my stay.

Close to tube station We have the smallest room I have ever had travelling aroung the world - called double room but it was a single room with small window view onto wall of the next house . We should move to another hotel 2 days before our schedule and however they sold our room immediately, we got back money only 1 day fee. Room no. 5, I would not recommand to anybody! ... not the hotel either

This is my usual crash space for when I'm going to gigs at the Shepherd's Bush Empire. It's convenient, affordable and for a budget hotel in London, you can't really go wrong with the Grantly. Obviously you can't expect the Ritz but for a short term stay, I'd suggest whether you really need to. The beds are always pristine with clean, crisp sheets and the mattresses feel fresh and comfy. Tea making facilities have always been well stocked, towels are always clean and fresh, rooms are clean if a bit on the shabby side but I'm always perfectly satisfied nethertheless. If you want a short stay for convenience that won't break your budget, then please do consider the Grantly. Earlier this week I stayed in Room 30 and there were a few issues; one of the shower doors was broken and didn't close probably so I had to mop up the floor of the bathroom after my shower. The Freeview thingy box for the tv hadn't been plugged in either and when I tried to tackle it, the screen just came up tinged pink. The fridge wasn't plugged in and I had no idea if I could plug it in or move it without those dangerous fumes coming out of it or whatever. But these things are not essential to a short, affordable stay in my opinion and they didn't dampen my opinion of the hotel. I'm generally very pleased whenever I stay at the Grantly and I seldom bother looking to book anywhere else.

It was very clean. There was an easy atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cost was excellent and so was the location! The breakfast was great. The double bed mattress was not at all comfortable. I believe it needs changing. Aside from that nothing else.

I stayed in Grantly Hotel on the 4 of April 2012. I came for a concert at Bush Hall. Friendly staff, average breakfast, good price- all that you need for one night stay. I will recommend it and definitely stay again, if in the area again.

Friendly staff let me check-in before the scheduled time. The room was nice, there was a kettle in the room (teabags, coffee, sugar, milk), a hairdryer. Breakfast was sufficient and tasty. The hotel is situated close to the tube station Shepherd's Bush (Zone 2). It was cold in my room and in an evening there was a party near the hotel, and some people sang all night long.

The Grantly Hotel was very convienient for London Olympia and getting around London in general. 10 mins walk to and from the Tube station. It was very clean and tidy and the breakfast was more towards a Continental Breakfast (with toast and jam with a cereal to start) rather than a traditional English breakfast, though you could have a hard boiled egg if you so wished. Close by there are a couple of restaurants and a shopping mall with a cinema. Also there is a 'Wetherspoons' closeby if you are hungary. The staff at the Garantly were pleasant and all in all I enjoyed my stay. As this is London the rooms are always small. Since the Grantly is on a main thoroughfare into London you can hear the police and the ambulance services with their sirens speeding down the road. I was at the back of the hotel so at least twice a night I had my sleep disturbed by such noise. Not the hotels fault, its just its location.

This was the second time I'd stayed at Grantly, the staff was friendly as usual and its location is ideal if you need to reach the city centre but don't want to stay in zone 1.

Price and location. I always stay at The Grantly when I have a concert at either the o2 Empire or Bush Hall, where it is ideally located. One certainly can't complain about the price, especially as it includes an excellent breakfast.

A small, basic and bland single room typical of a London budget hotel but the bed was comfortable and had a nice flat screen television in the room, shower room and wc was fitted out to a good standard. Right smack bang in the centre of Shepherds Bush so was handy for tube, Westfield Shopping centre close at hand and all the local restaurants, shops and bars are on the door step. The temperature dropped during my stay so I was glad that the heating came on in the evening. Was at the back of the hotel so there was no outlook but this was probably a good place to be as I would imagine that the front of the hotel would be very noisy due to the hotels prominent position. The continental breakfast was basic but adequate, Tea or Coffee,Toast and warm croissants were prepared for you which is something that does not happen at a some more expensive hotels. The shower tray had a slight maintenance issue in that the water was reluctant to drain away and the shower door leaked.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was ok. We had to pay the entire stay when we arrived. Breakfast was ok (with eggs, cheese and so on) but we expected a typical English breakfast with ham, sausages etc.
