The serviceand the staff were first class, made you feel very special.
The car parks was'nt adequate.
Helpful staff. A very clean and comfortable hotel. Central location with car park. Able to leave car and luggage at hotel after check out. Free wifi in room.
Can't think of anything.
Central location, friendly & helpful staff, good choice for breakfast & freshly cooked. Would use Hotel again but only on B&B basis
Poor choice of Evening Meals & Drinks selection. Generally lacked atmosphere in evening, no roaring open fires as advertised
Food reasonable, car parking good, hotel clean & tidy.
Hotel was cold (no fires), the staff had hooked the doors open because they were warm (outside temp was about 6 Celsius), our bedroom heating went off about 4-30pm just as people were starting to return to their rooms with luck I managed to switch the boiler back on again. Not a warm hotel for the time of the year and temperature.
Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent food. This is complemented by the location
Everything about our stay was excellent from the postcode given for the car park to the well wishes at our departure. Check-in easy and quick, escorted to a our room and facilities explained. Room was bright and airy, warm, clean with a pleasant aroma. Plenty of tea, coffee etc. Very good sized Jacuzzi bathroom with decent shower. Restaurant for dinner very nice (3 courses with drinks £90) for two - we didn't scrimp; breakfast selection also very good every morning. All staff always pleasant to you.
lounge area/bar area bathroom was clean and bright lovely and warm/radiators on breakfast menu was excellent bed was comfortable parking was excellent - a big plus point for the area lots of tea/coffee/biscuits in room
room was too small - no area for the suitcase.
Location staff bath
No heating in the morning
Very nice breakfasts . Lovely room . Great bath/shower
We expected real fires lit -we were disappointed that they were not lit . Had there been a real fire we would have enjoyed relaxing and chatting in the downstairs areas .
An excellent room, very comfortable.
Evening menu was poor, limited choice, only one vegetarian option, and the bar lacked atmosphere.
We were looking for a comfortable and friendly stop-over on our way home from visiting relatives. The Grapevine was a great choice with friendly and helpful staff, a comfortable room and great food.
Friendly welcome, large comfortable very clean room and excellent breakfast
Dining room did not appear very welcoming so we ate our evening meal elsewhere.
Large room, warm and comfortable. Spacious bathroom. Food and service were excellent. Will certainly visit again.
The bed was very comfortable. Evening meal good, breakfast very good.
breakfast staff with don't care attitude, toast and drinks just dumped on corner of table no effort to place it in centre of table. drinks in bar unbelievably expensive £4.05 for half of shandy ,no wonder bar was totally empty and it was Saturday night ,we went across road cheaper with people in !!!!!!
Great room, friendly staff. Stow is a beautiful place.
location very good room facilities good A good choice at breakfast
room was cold on arrival , had to ask staff to advance boiler time clock to get heating on . (no further problems with heating after first arrival )
Made to feel welcome, very helpful staff, bed fabulous and hotel quiet so I got a great night sleep. Room Service steak seasoned and cooked to perfection and fabulous chips!
When I asked at Reception I was told Room Service was available but when I came to order the young lady was very hesitant and seemed worried about my request. The meal was really good so just a bit puzzled that there seemed to be a problem initially.
The garden room and bathroom were decorated beautifully and a perfect position for my husband who doesn't walk so well. The friendliness of the staff
The served breakfast was good but the buffet table could do with a re think - better choice of juices and cereals
Location was great and staff were lovely and very helpful organising flowers and wine in the room before we arrived, and the room was really nice, we had a premium 4 poster room
Didn't enjoy the food too much in the restaurant on the Saturday evening, in our opinion not a great choice and this is coming from someone who is not a fussy eater. I was also served up two scoops of ice cream on a bed of nuts when we had informed the hotel that I had a nut allergy, (this was changed immediately) and there was no one to meet us when we went In for breakfast (we went in for breakfast approx 1hr after they opened up for breakfast) we waited nearly 10minutes for somebody to come and take our order, and there was no milk on the buffet table for cereals, and the breakfast menus looked a bit like they had been designed by a 5 year old with different fonts and a variety of colours not to mention that they were just a piece of folded paper and had tea and coffee stains on them, we also felt the hotel looked a bit tired and lacked a little tlc

We were well received. Food very good. Room for cost excellent.
My wife is disabled and found that a "bar" between reception and small lounge would have been of assistance. The step is high and without assistance she would have struggled.
The position of the hotel is centrally situated within the lovely and lively town of Stow and makes touring the Cotswold a real pleasure. The staff at the hotel were all freindly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Nothing really except our room was situated at the front of the hotel so the road noise was not condusive to opening the window at night so the room was quite hot.
great location, friendly and helpful staff, good period features, comfy.
staff are hard to find, mangers even harder!
Definately the location. The actual cooked element of the breakfast was pure quality, the cereals preparation area could do with a rethink.
Untrained staff at breakfast. Also the actual grapevine should perhaps be moved from the dining area so the place can be properly cleaned.Whilst the location was superb the noise fron early traffic was very offputting. Double glazed windows could eleviate this.Toast served on a saucer was a bit unusual.
Really nice hotel, exactly as advertised, warm welcome room lovely service great would stay again
