Ambience, excellent food and courtesy of staff.
Staff pleasant & helpful. Breakfast with plenty of choice.Room clean, if small. Parking at rear was a boon.
Public areas could do with an update. Evening menu could do a few plainer items. Everything was a bit too fancy and pricey.
Cleanliness of the bathroom
Cheap bed matress Shabby room for the price Cheap basic tea/coffee products Accommodation over priced and we were disappointed on the standard Breakfast 'garlic ' melon had been cut with a knife used for chopping garlic!
Central location in the Cotswolds. Excellent breakfast. Excellent staff.
Our room didn't have a shower... only a bath with hand shower and no way to hang it up
Bedroom was fine.
Dining room was full of little white flies, presumably from the grapevine which is not an appropriate place for dining.
The staff were very pleasant and polite nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were very clean and modern. The staff were interested in us we had come to attend a family wedding. The food was excellent nicely presented and table service was prompt.
The digital signal was a trifle erratic.
Breakfast very good, good service by friendly staff
Room 8 is at the top, and is very cramped with dingy furniture, bathroom would have been top rate if it had an overhead shower, also bed was not comfortable . Also on the right hand side of the bed the slope of the ceiling was so low you could easily bang your head,as we found out numerous times.
Everyone was kind helpful and considerate of my elderly mother's needs. The room was comfortable and the beds very comfortable. The communal sitting areas were relaxing and friendly.
The dining experience was slow and the menu whilst interesting was not ideal for an older person. As it was September, we also had falling vine leaves and white fly for company!
Position of hotel in centre of town. Lovely restaurant. Plenty of parking.
Room a bit small, but probably unavoidable
Comfort of room, great food with friendly staff
Good bathroom. Friendly staff
Our room on the top floor was very hot and the bed very uncomfortable. The decor was in need of a major upgrade
Staff very help full, I would like to thank Tracey, the receptionist, she really went the extra mile in making our stay enjoyable. She was kind and considerate of our needs.
Bar shut by. 10.30
Excellent breakfast. Excellent bathroom.
Bedroom was rather on the small side.
Homely and confortable
Good location, comfortable room and good quality breakfast and good value at our late booking price
wasps in dining room may be a problem for a lot of people, and quite a late check in time 3pm
Bathroom was perfect...i really wanted a decent bath and shower .bed was really comfortable.
Decor was very good, nice atmosphere, great location right in the centre of beautiful stow
Bed a bit soft for our preference
location superb breakfast friendly staff parking
hard mattress tv with very poor digital reception
We had a very pleasant, light and comfortable bedroom. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed the dinner we had one night. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and pleasant. We would certainly stay here again.
No marmalade at breakfast. Our television in our room kept on breaking up. Thought the dinner menu could have been more extensive. These are only minor quibbles
Modern bedroom and bathroom , very pretty village location , parking was on site behind the hotel ,.breakfast was great . The One day break was great value for money , although we did have a late deal.
nothing to dislike
terrible breakfast - dried up made a long time ago was not freshpoor breakfast table choice, noisy neighbours - room walls too thin wake up call did not happen - due to breakdown with phone
Loved Stow on the Wold. Great architecture. Nice building. Breakfast was good. Staff excellent. Great en-suite bathroom. I would love to stay there again with more attention to detail. Bed was comfortable.
Hotel needs a good clean. I found getting up 2 flights of stairs difficult. The headboard was not fixed to the wall properly. Wallpaper damaged in areas, dust on chest of drawers. Curtains falling off the railing - shame really as it could be really nice. Decor needs updating. Cobwebs in the reception area. Could do with improved soft furnishings, ambient lighting. The grapevine was a mess - should re-locate it to outdoors as too many insects buzzing around one landed in my coffee. Put me off somewhat. Everywhere needs decorating. Carpets need changing. More handrails on second floor.
Location was good and hotel atmosphere very relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food at hotel was good.
Room was a bit small and in the morning the plumbing was a bit noisy.
Very friendly staff. Tasty, well cooked breakfast. Perfect location. Plenty of parking space at back of hotel.
Room was well equipped with everything we needed but unfortunately very little space to move around,
The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was unique and warm. The thoughfulness of the snacks and beverages was very much appreciated. I wish I would have had more time here. Definitely a spot to return to in the future!
Parking was tight!
