Hotel staff and reception were very good. Nice view of the river and Salsbury Cathedral from the garden patio. Breakfast was not very good. Bar prices a bit high. |

All foreign staff with little or no training and poor english. Food absolutely disgusting wouldn't feed it to a dog. Hotel desperate for some love and money spending on it. |

Large comfortable room with beautiful views over the river and to the cathedral. Pleasant short walk into the city. Decor is period and very pleasant, if getting a little tired in places - the same goes for the plumbing. Breakfast was good rather than excellent. Some noise from a wedding party, although it finished by 11p.m. (our room was directly over the reception area). |

Yet again a pleasure to stay at. Lovely room, although not one that overlooked the Cathedral. Will definately use again when in the area. |

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable and contained all the extras necessary (e.g. tea and coffee making facilities, TV, telephone, ironing board and iron, hairdryer). The hotel also has free offstreat parking, while being located within 5-10min walk to the town centre. The hotel could benefit from a refurbishment. |

We enjoyed being able to venture outside into the gardens and feed the ducks, the proximity to the town. |

I got married at the hotel and they made it special. It was like my wedding was the only thing happening and they gave full attention to the smallest detail. During the planning meetings, they came up with ideas which helped us decide exactly how we wanted our day to be. They even gave us a guided tour of the bedrooms so we could pick which one we wanted. |

The staff. The hotel was "tired" and the bathroom needed re-plumbing. |

The situation of the hotel and proximity to the town centre We were put into a room which badly needed refurbishment and should not have been let out. The stuffing was showing on the furniture, the bedspread was torn the jet system did not function in the bath and the bath edge was lifted and dirty. We were however shown the refurbished rooms which were great. In my opinion the hotel was let down by placing guests in 1 star rooms!! |

the setting particularly the gardens The majority of the staff appeared to do the minimum required. A few members of the staff were very good indeed and displayed energy and enthusiasm unfortunately the overall ambience was lets get them in and out, which for a wedding function for eighty guests who had travelled great distances (one from Australia) sn't really what I would expect |

Staff were brilliant - could not have been more helpful, they went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable and quiet with view of the garden and cathedral, with the town centre being a short easy walk away. |

A very comfortable stay in a beautiful setting. My wife and I had a room with our adult son for a couple of nights and had comfortably spacious accommodation. A great view of the Cathedral and a perfect base for walking around Salisbury and for going to Stonehenge. The excellent food in the restaurant was an unexpected bonus! And hotel staff were very helpful. |

I found the staff very friendly especially the receptionist who greeted us on our late arrival, and still as smiley the next morning. I was brought up in Harnham, it was lovely to have somewhere so pleasant to stay whilst visiting my now elderly father, as wel as enjoying some very fond memories. Nothing I didn't like, though certain parts, furniture etc was rather tired. |
