The welcome we received and the helpfulness was excellent also the cupcakes and macaroons were a lovely touch hats off to the baker they were so yummy! Excellent choice at breakfast also. Thank you Grasshopper.
Probably the smell as we entered the building not the hotel but before we got into the lift up to the hotel it was a smell of damp would most likely put people off. It was very bad.
The staff were the nicest i've ever met, welcoming, caring and excellent attendants. The location is in the heart of central Glasgow, almost adjacent to the central train station. The atmosphere in the hotel, is more likely, a family accomodation, more than a hotel. It was awesome
the room is a little small and dark.
fantastic hotel. Building tired but once you reach top floor (hotel) what a pure joy. Staff fantastic with fab views overlooking central rail station
The location is just above the train station with no train noise. Easy to walk to restaurants and to access the subway. Delicious breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff. Lovely sitting room with books to read.
There is nothing to not like.
Very nice and very friendly - great value and location.
Signage and access at front door
-excellent location -friendly atmosphere -breakfast -nice, clean room + comfortable bed
-Wi-Fi wasn't working, but as we didn't really need it anyway, we didn't complain or ask what the problem was. Might have been a temporary thing!
Next to the central station
No wifi connection (even they say it's included)
The hotel is beautifully decorated, the sstaffare very friendly, polite and helpful and of course there are free cupcakes!
City centre location, good breakfast, bedding and towels. Bedroom windows that can be opened properly if required. Free cupcakes and cookies at all times. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Also has useful sitting room.
No bath in 'bathroom', just a (good) shower. Only one chair ( in twin room) - though no room for more. And very limited storage space if staying for more than a few days.
The way the staff made me feel welcome and took me to my room, showing me everything, the home made cup cake, the breakfast room and the opportunity to have dinner with others, the lounge. Everything in my room was very tastefully done. Lots of lovely little details, did not feel anonymous.
The size of the room was really tiny. If I had been staying for several nights it might have been a problem. The fact that the TV was all sky-related which made watching it a bit complicated. Proximity of the station, but in the end the noise did not bother me.
The warm welcome, fresh milk in a thermos for my tea, windows that opened, (I am afraid I did like the cup cake rather too much), the comfort and cleanliness.
The shower gel dispenser didn't dispense but this was a minor inconvenience - I left in such a hurry I didn't have time to report it.
reception staff comfort free coffee & cake[nice touch] location
coffee in the room, did not taste like any coffee I'd ever tasted breakfast food was not hot enough
Very close to Glasgow central station, and the airport shuttle bus. Lovely welcome cupcake, very friendly staff
location, relaxed ambience, staff, lounge area and breakfast
entrance at ground-level is unpreposessing to say the least but don't be put off as hotel on 6th floor is a different world
Quirky hotel, lovely staff, gorgeous food and social dining arrangements
Would have like to get a quite room as my boyfriend is a light sleeper
Spotlessly clean,excellent breakfast.
The welcome Very friendly and helpful staff Coffee and cupcakes on arrival Bottled water in room White fluffy towels Comfy bed Sky TV Free wifi Excellent breakfast - everything fresh + 3 choices of milk
We left our bedroom windows open overnight. Big mistake. Although six floors up we were kept awake by the Glasgow nightlife. No fault of the hotel - we should have used the overhead fan.
Central location, friendly staff, coffee and cupcake on arrival, tasteful furnishings, lovely breakfast.
The gap between the head of the bed and the wall.
Modern, clean, friendly hotel. Stayed in a triple room which had two large double beds. On arrival cupcakes and fresh milk for tea/filter coffee were brought to the room. Would highly recommend.
Loved the staff, the proximity to everything, right next door to Central Station and a 7-10 min walk from George Square. There were cookies and cupcakes to help yourself to all day, a good breakfast, excellent scrambled eggs.
If you face the front desk folk our room was on the left. We got in Fri night and both Fri and Sat night all hell broke loose from the bar below our window...talk about a TV sitcom...screaming, shouting, swearing that went on for hours...12-3 a.m. was sleepless time. Sun night the screaming was over by 6 p.m apparently early closing! We got this room as we wanted 2 single beds...but beware that side esp on Fri and Sat nights. Location is downtown so be careful if returning late. Except for that everything was great.
