Located amongst Wharfedale’s limestone hills in the Yorkshire Dale National Park, this 5-star hotel serves seasonal dishes made using local produce, including Grassington’s own hand-reared, rare breed pork. Set in a lovely Georgian building, every room has views of the cobbled village square. Full English breakfasts, light meals such as tapas-style dishes, and an a la carte menu are available in the No. 5 Restaurant. Guests can also relax with a drink in the bar and packed lunches can be made on request. Grassington House Hotel is within 200 metres of the Dales Way long-distance footpath and scenic walks can be enjoyed in the surrounding countryside. Free private parking is provided and the medieval Skipton Castle can be reached after a 20-minute drive. Each individually decorated room has stylish feature wallpaper, a flat-screen TV and a selection of fair trade coffees and tea with a cafetiere, fresh milk and homemade biscuits. It was a very good experience in a lovely hotel in a great location. Very nice people and good food. The weather! But that made being in the hotel all the more cosy and inviting.

We absolutely loved the hotel, the Restaraunt, the whole atmosphere was lovely, relaxing and yet so professional!! The proprietors were wonderful! I found out my little boy who was away with my parents was ill - Sue went straight on the Internet and printed me a fact sheet off of his illness, to put my mind at ease! Nothing was too much trouble and local knowledge was excellent. The rooms were stylish and decorated to a high standard. The quality of everything was excellent, with superb attention to detail. I'm quite fussy with bedding and toiletries and appreciated the quality of the products. We were so impressed with the Restaraunt we dined there both nights. The food was absolutely divine, the staff were professional, friendly and helpful. We just loved our time there and can't wait to go back! Nothing at all

Location Lovely evening meal and breakfast When booking we were not made aware that we had been allocated the Alcock room. The toilet, bathroom and bedroom are all open plan - i.e. no door from the toilet. No draught lager.

Location was very good and the style of the room very modern compared with the traditional exterior. I thought the room was a bit small for two people, but I did get it at a bargain price. The tea/coffee making facilities were located in the wardrobe would have been much better on a shelf (behind the door).

The food was exceptional at all meals all staff friendly and helpful. We would stay there again. The en-suite was a little quaint, superb bath but one needed to be very friendly to use the room, some people would prefer a door as well!

Friendliness of the staff, food quality and service was excellent. Rooms very clean. On site parking. The pillows were far too firm and prevented a good night's sleep. It would be good to have a soft and a firm pillow. Couldn't work out how to use the shower, though that may be my inability to fathom the simplest of things!

We had a wonderful stay. We were upgraded to the best room in the Hotel at no extra cost. We even decided to stay an extra night. Facilities in the room were superb. Staff so friendly and courteous. Wonderful position. Would certainly recommend it. Absolutely nothing at all.
