Really proactive staff made the stay easy, rooms were very quiet despite central location.
Big comfy bed, clean, location, no fuss, great value
Having breakfast in the pub
The Wall Map The location The staff
Rooms aren't the largest but hey it's only as place to rest your head and the rooms had everything you needed
Would definitely stay here again
Hotel concept is nice. Rooms are cosy and quiet despite the central location.
Should work on the night darkening: outside LEDs cannot be shaded with curtains in place.
The iPod Dock is so cool as you can listen in the bathroom as well, wish I could stay there permanently was so good beds are top notch
Nothing what's so ever
no lift passed lst floor no good for elderly people
Booked it one hour before the check-in because i had some trouble with the landlord or air b&b which i stayed one night. The staff was so kind and the room was so cute and cozy.
I had no hair dryer in my room and i couldn't use wi-fi even the staff told me the password. Maybe just because my room was at the end of corridor.
Walls between bedrooms are a bit thin so if yu get noisy neighbors it can be a little dissappointing.
Fantastic hotel in a central area. Staff are very friendly rooms are great. There's a pub attached not rowdy you get discount on food and drinks. I would definitely stay again it's ideal.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. Great location with lovely restaurants, cafes and bars/pubs nearby, not too far from Princes Street. Very pleased!
the staff were very helpful, especially the manager, we liked the free pick & mix for the children. we liked the funky rooms, especially the bathroom with the built in speakers, it was a fun place to stay with children, our son gave it 10 out of 10!
Great value for money in an excellent location.
Being able to have meals in pub without going out! Really good value, especially the meal and drinks discount. Really helpful to have a direct link from hotel to taxi company, and discount on taxis. Great help on reception 24 hrs a day.
No problems whatever.
I really liked the design of the hotel, the facilities, how quirky it was, the staff, the cleanliness, the BED, the shower!
Unfortunately the live music coming from the pub next door put us off slightly. This may not bother other travelers but I would rather be placed away from here if possible!
While my title refers to the city, your hotel was a player in my courtship. The grassmarket is a lovely, accommodating hotel in a beautiful area of edinburgh with warm and homely rooms. If I could, I would buy one of your rooms as a permanent residence. As it stands the experience afforded to me by the city and the hotel has planted a seed. This seed is one of discontent with my current location and a desire to move to Edinburgh.
That I had to leave!
Very Funky and quirky little hotel with excellent Staff, Loved decour, Bathroom and of course Tunnocks tea cake. I would recommend it to anyone.
Single Rooms on small side but not a major drawback as I was a solo traveller
Excellent location, hotel had everything we needed and more. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again.
Very welcoming staff and the location was fantastic
It's central location to the Royal Mile and it's history. Minor issues rectified straight away by friendly and very helpful staff.
Nothing to say here - well looked after hotel.
Was a class hotel , very modern had its own twist , great location , great staff ! Everything you need ! Will stay again if im back in edinburgh ! Would recommend !
Im struggling to think of something it would be stupid to stay any where else !
The hotel is bang in the middle of all the restaurants and pubs.
The rooms are on the small side.
Excellent location for exploring the city in the day and enjoying Edinburgh nightlife. The rooms are large, comfortable and fun and really good value for money. Had a brilliant stay.
If you are hoping to sleep before 1am bring ear plugs! The central location of the hotel makes it quite noisy in the evening, especially with a pub right next door. It is great that wifi is free but the signal was very weak in our room and it barely worked.
