Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa  

The decor was very swish. The staff were all helpful and polite.

Luxury hotel. Made to feel expensive and looked after. More of an adults hotel. Didn't see any children there. Room spacious and clean. Very comfortable.

Got the king room castle view for £230 with booking.com. A little disappointed with the view. Smallish window and only got to see the side of the castle. Had I have known I would have booked the club room and got complimentary use of the spa facilities and breakfast included! Also disappointed at how little you get for your money. You spend so much on the room, and apart from it being a little bigger than others, with some funky lighting, it is no different from other hotels. No extra treats in your room. Very basic tea and coffee, with one packet of biscuits with 2 biscuits in it! No extra perks. Quite tight in that sense. If you're spending that much money you'd expect a little more luxurious treatment. It's like they're trying to squeeze you out of everything you have!

Excellent service and excellent service staff. How can I help was not simply a phrase but a culture at the Sheraton Grand.

Expensive, breakfast for guests was 20 pounds each but all day breakfast on their dinner menu was 12 pounds for anyone which I found disappointing. The squirrel bar across the road serves a good full Scottish for five pounds. The leasure facilities were good but again expensive, the relaxation spa was thirty pounds each for guests. All in all very nice but very expensive. The location was fabulous as the whole of Edinburgh is right on the doorstep. The rooms have large TV's with plenty of channels and the sound is also piped into the bathroom which is great to relax in the bath.

Well couldn't find a bar and directions Arun the hotel were not good.

Club room gave free access to Club lounge and spa. The spa is fantastic.

The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and changing facilities were excellent. Although works are still being carried out to the bar and restaurant, this did not detract from our stay as there are plenty of good restaurants in the city.

Nothing, everything was excellent

Leaking toilet, very expensive, spa wasnt very good. Over priced, renovations at the hotel made it difficult to find the room, lots of walking. No towels in the chaning rooms. No hairdryer in the room anywhere, too many light switches in the room very confusing. No complimentry water given on arrival. Shower head was useless on all settings and the ceiling was low so u had to bend down in the shower to use it. Otherhalf banged his knee in the toilet as the wall was so close to the loo.
