Great Location, Great rooms
Had a wedding Saturday Night with loud music that could be heard very clearly in our room - which didn't finish until 11.00. The manager stated he couldn't do much about it. Staff always seemed to be socialising loudly amongst themselves.
Loved everything about this place! Our room (baby grand) was beautiful and had everything we needed. We stayed in February at a reduced rate, which was brilliant. Staff were fantastic - a late check out was no problem - and the place had a really nice atmosphere to it. We've stayed in most of the 4* and 5* hotels in Manchester and this was by far our favourite. Absolutely wonderful hotel - can't recommend highly enough.
Breakfast was a little pricey but was wonderful.
Amazing rooms and the individuality of the overall design. Lovely staff. Fabulous breakfast :)
Wobbly table at breakfast rather dominated the experience Also no bagel despite being on menu Shower temperature difficult to regulate
My husband and I stayed here for his birthday. Staff were fantastic room was amazing so nice to stay somewhere that has different rooms and not just squares with beds in. Will stay again without a doubt
Fabulous ambiance throughout, chic and intimate without stuffy service/staff. Luxurious details everywhere.
Luxury hotel, beautifully appointed, helpful friendly staff.
Rooms way too hot even in middle of winter. AC preset and doesn't allow you to turn the temperature down.
The hotel is stylish and feels quite exclusive. Lovely friendly staff. The room was great; bed incredibly comfortable.
Room was advertised at a "discounted" rate but the breakfast was £18.00 pp. It was a standard hotel breakfast with a small buffet and good fry up but not worth £36.00 for two. Bit of a con really. The room was sweltering in the night so I couldn't sleep. There is very little public space in hotel. We couldn't find any where to sit for a coffee because so many non-guests having afternoon teas. Doesn't feel like the hotel is run primarily for the guests.
My room was beautiful. Loved the mezzanine bathroom and Bluetooth iPod connectivity. Breakfast was outstanding! Would definitely recommend
Wifi was a little intermittent in my room - but such a minor problem in the grand scheme of things.
The room was lovely, very homely! Was a nice surprise to find two baths as was expecting one big one.
Friendly service, super rooms, great location
I liked everything about this hotel
Enjoyed a quiet and relaxing stay. Staff service was second to none. Hard to fault, but a second bath robe would have been welcome.
Very good hotel in terms of service, quality & facilities.
Horrendous noise from outside the hotel between 4am-7am not sure whether it was service deliveries or waste disposal. No apology when mentioned on departure other than did you ring down! Suggest double glazing investment.
Location is great, room was gorgeous and the roof terrace is lovely.
Not a complaint as such, but it can be quite noisy, being an old building.
Where to start with this absolutely amazing hotel!! We stayed for a voluble celebration of Valentine's Day and my girlfriends birthday. A few weeks before we was due to arrive I contacted the hotel to make some special requests to make our stay extra special, the staff (Sophie) who I dealt with were exceptional and went over and above what was expected. The room we stayed in was breathtaking, we absolutely loved the mezzanine floor with double stand alone baths, and the bed and pillows were the comfiest ive slept in. Both myself and my partner have worked in hospitality and were amazed at the cleanliness of the room. The little extra touches like complimentary homemade biscuits in the room really made us feel welcome. I would 110% fully encourage you to stay at this hotel.. Do not think twice!!
Really enjoyed a one-night stay. Staff were extra helpful and the bar was a lovely setting for a pre-dinner drink. The room was super.
Our room wasn't really on two levels. Room 12 was at the front of the hotel. The door to the room lead straight up some stairs to the main floor. The windows, being full length meant you could hear everything from the street outside. There was a disco on the room of the hotel until 12 and then people and the packing up of equipment lasted till about 2. The inside of the hotel is dark and like a dungeon. It basically looks a lot better on the pictures than when your there.
Everything was lovely. The rooms amazing. A top night.
unusual rooms, cosy decor, friendly staff, comfy bed. A short walk to the shops and restaurants.
Gorgeous rooftop terrace. Lovely cozy bar, rooms speak for themselves. 5 minutes walk from Spinning Fields bars and restaurants.
Could do with a full length mirror!
A beautifully renovated building creating a hotel of character- The majority of the staff were warm and welcoming
The welcome -weather beaten we stepped from the taxi into reception and the receptionists words were you cannot book in 'til 3 o'clock. We knew that but it would have been nice to be directed to a lounge with the suggestion we had a drink and waited-we left going once more into the rain.I Would have left andnot returned but it was part of my 83 year old Xmas present. When we returned another receptionist was so welcoming the contrast was marked
Great room, convenient location.
It was busy on the night that stayed due to a private party and the staff were not fazed by this. The Service was very good particularly in the bar. I ate from the bar menu, the food was good.
The decor and general design of the hotel and it's proximity to the centre.
The shower was the best I have ever had in any hotel. The continental breakfast provided enough porridge for mammy, daddy and baby bear! . The comfort and design of the hotel was first class. We will be back in the summer.
Its on a street behind a main street and we couldnt find our way back in the dark. Rang the hotel and the receptionist ran out onto the main road and rescued us. Bless her.
