This family-run town centre hotel was originally built in 1842 and has many historical features. Rooms are all of a high quality with en suite bathrooms, free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Great Malvern Hotel has extensive à la carte and bar menus, and all food is prepared on the premises. The comfortable bar offers 4 cask ales in addition to Guiness, Stella Artois and local cider. It has been in the Good Beer Guide since 2000. The Great Malvern is only 100 yards from the theatre, cinema complex, and the path up the hill is just a 5-minute walk. Staff excellent. Breakfast was very good - nothing too much trouble . Good sized bedroom. Bedroom and bathroom were grubby. No light bulb in bathroom. Hotel was overall dated and in need of TLC.

The owner was a fantastic gentleman. Immediately made us all feel welcome and was a pleasure to be around. Beds we're slightly thin but very comfortable!

Overall ambience. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good live music in the evenings. Excellent food, both breakfast and evening meal taken in hotel. Hotel is in need of some re-decoration but it is only cosmetic.

Friendly helpful staff. Excellent location and very good food. Large comfortable room. Car parking very limited and one night we had to park some distance from the Hotel.

My doubleroom/single occupancy was spacious and quiet. Wifi was fast and free. Breakfast menu was extensive.

Very friendly...nothing was too much trouble. Sandwiches left in room upon arrival were fresh and very nice. Excellent value for money and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

location was excellent, staff were very helpful and food was good. Pigeons were housed near our bedroom window and awoke us at 6am and kept us awake for the next 2 hours.

The central location, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfasts, the complimentary bath salts and comfortable bed The WiFi was not accessible from our room, though it could be accessed from eg the lounge. This was slightly inconvenient

Very close to shops and eating places. Good bar with entertainment in the evenings. Marvellous walking over the Malvern hills. Unfortunate room (No. 3) - there was a pidgeon (dove) enclosure outside our window with much excrement on the window ledge. Were woken early each morning by cooing and bird noises directly outside...

The staff were particularlyhelpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent The quality of furnishings and fittings was poor. In the bedroom, the arm of the chair came away in our hand when we went to move it, and the bottom of the wardrobe was so dirty that my wife had to clean it before putting the cases on it.. In the bathroom, the shower head cradle came away from the wall, as did one end of the shower curtain rail. These problems could have been fixed by any capable member of Staff. We were disapointed to find that the ground-floor of the hotel was really little more than a pub frequented by locals. We had anticipated something better.

The hotel was in a very good location.Staff were very helpful and friendly.The breakfast was excellent.The room was a nice size and clean and comfortable. Decor was abit tierd.

The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much for them When we booked we were told there was parking available. When we arrived, the few spaces available were already taken.

The food was really good, breakfast especially. Ideal location for central Malvern and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Rooms are cold in the winter, central heating is a bit inaffective with the old style windows and glazing (extra blankets available in the rooms though) - the hotel is a bit dated and musty and the noise from the bar travels - especially when there is live music on(bring ear plugs). For the price though - you can't knock it.
