Great location just next to kings cross, very convenient, pantry is considerable
Double room is kind of small for us with four luggages
The hotel is located between 2 major train stations and right beside the Underground. The staff could not have been more helpful. They were very efficient and friendly. We arrived at the hotel early and even though our room wasn't ready we could check in immediately. When we arrived back later our bags had been brought up to the room. The room we had was small(ish) but very well appointed. There was free Wifi in the room and numerous stations on the TV. There is a Nespresso machine in each room and there is also a pantry (kitchenette) located on each floor with tea, coffee and small snacks (mince pies, lemon sherberts/gummy bears, chocolate bars)
The doors to the bathroom (which faced our bed) are glass and when closed have a gap of a few cm's between them. We were on the 2nd floor so could hear all the noise and music from the bar and restaurant until late in the night.
Ambiance, location, free pantry
Room size and one sided access to bed was disappointing in terms of tariff paid. Quilt cover base was substantially worn or torn on bottom right hand corner.
Great room, great shower, great location, great welcome, great pantry (I may have pinched more Tunnocks bars than I should have...)
Discomfort of bedroom made it difficult to appreciate anything.
Indulged in expensive 5* hotel as it was our anniversary and we had a very early train. Room was like a sleeper berth. Bed was shoved into small area contained by walls on 3 sides. Forced to climb over my husband during night, several times very nearly falling on my head. Completely unsuitable, particularly for people of our age. Terrible disappointment. Very, very expensive.
Great Northern Hotel is truely great place for rest, comfort and quite peaceful. Strategically located for clients quick stop over. The staff are very polite and wonderful with team spirit at work ( in my presence one was helping the other). Good environment for rest, no noise you are in your own cosy world. GNH is home from home, I will recommend ( a customer satisfied is 1000 customers added). Looking forward to another stay soon. Yet to have a taste from the pot, the pantry idea is good.
Nothing in particular. Though wish the cost can be lesser.
The location. The breakfeast. The room/bed/pantry next door/the water fall shower.
Called racist by one member of staff... Which was a complete and utter lie. So watch out for Pedro as he clearly can not be trusted. Then the manager in the morning basically said she will believe her staff over us straight away. Then and email from the board of directors followed (great as they said they would) but 2 emails and 36 hours later still no other word. Next time I will take my £320 that it cost for the room elsewhere.
Very hard bed
The detail, the balance of quality and welcome. The quiet.
Good location, a very nice, qualified and friendly staff, very good English breakfast. And first and most - the rooms are absolutely sound-proof, not to say that the view from the window is very great, the facilities are good and there is enough space, and, above all, complimentary water in the room and snacks in the kitchen near the business center.
Effectively nothing. You have to keep in mind that check-out can take quite a lot of time, as there are often (though not always) many people waiting in line. But it didn't concern me as I paid everything in advance and was "released" right away.
Finish in the rooms is very high. Pantry is very handy. Very cool bar.
Not just this hotel, but all London hotels, very small room. Very small bar
Really nice decor and an exciting feel to the hotel.
The receptionist was completely over the top.
very modern, beautiful design
not obvious where the font door is. Not easy for taxi's to find/drop or pick
Great location right behind Kings Cross. Staff very helpful. Lovely decor. Room great with a huge shower. Super view overlooking the wonderful St Pancras station
The bar was a little noisy and it was a little expensive although we did get offered a complimentary upgrade which was a nice surprise.
The building The bars The restaurant The location The staff
Bed to small Room a little to small Room a bit cold in way of decor
THE LOCATION WAS GOOD. BEDDING AND TOWELS NICE .
THE NOISE AT NIGHT FROM THE PANTRY AT THE END OF CORRIDOR WAS AWFUL. SMALL ROOM FOR THE PRICE A DOUBLE BED IN A ROOM WHICH NEEDED A SINGLE. AWFUL DOUBLE SHOWER ROOM ONE DECENT CUBICLE WOULD HAVE SUITED ME. JUST NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
Location Wifi Friendly service
Pantry coffee machine not working; no cake or milk available Check in area not easily accessible
The ambience, the friendly staff, the bar/night club/ restaurany
No sports facilities
Almost everything - see what we didn't like.
You could see through the glass doors from the bedroom into the bathroom - didn't feel very private. That is the only thing we didn't like about it.
The ease of access to transport facilities
The lighting in the room was inadequate for hair and makeup. Tea/coffee making facilities need to be available in the room, not down the corridor.
Location courtesy of staff quality of restaurant
the room -though with excellent bathroom-and bed ,lighting etc toilet with glass doors was located -adjacent to bed therefore no privacy!
Location good Nice vibe
No milk/cake/ papers in 'pantry'. Very disappointed Toiletries were half empty when we arrived-not good enough standard. Shopping that we asked to left with nour luggage was not returned. Unhappy. Expect more for £300/night
The bedrooms were small but very well appointed. I liked the idea of a pantry on each floor. The lively bar was very good. Breakfast was all served by the staff and beautifully cooked.
The reception area is very cold and pokey. Check out was very slow. The staff at breakfast don't quite understand how English breakfast works. They brought first of all no milk and then hot milk with tea etc.
