Pantry a nice touch.
Rooms too small!
Cleanliness Excellent facilities Excellent staff Proximity to rail and underground
Bed was a little hard
Very friendly staff and spotlessly clean rooms. Very convenient for Kings Cross and St Pancras
Rock hard bed. Noisy disco. No hot milk for Pantry coffee, so tended to be a cool drink. Unhelpful restaurant staff after getting locked out of room.
Perfect location. Staff extremely helpful and we could have stayed in the comfortable beds for a week .
Fantastic bar and staff
No stock in pantry No drawers for clothes Not v big room
Great Location Stylish
The hotel is generally great, with lots of good, thoughtful touches. Staff are great too, but...
...but the bath towels had not been properly laundered and stank. I had no time to do anything about this before going to a formal dinner. Not good.
Quality of finish
Swimming pool lockers broken. Old furnishings. Poor bathroom facilities.
The location was perfect, close to the city centre and the train station/underground. The rooms where fantastic and the staff where friendly and very helpful.
The pantry facility was excellent idea !
That there was no separate toilet on landing
The friendless and helpfulness of the hotel staff is absolutely the best I have experienced and I am a road warrior! Benjamin, the concierge was exceptional. Sandwiches at the Kisok are great and lunch at Plum and Split Milk was perfect. I was on the train many times so the location was very helpful especially with the inclement weather!
That I had to leave...
The welcome, the cleanliness and the decor.
Bar is a bit pricey.
Location, cleanliness, friendliness, good solid quality. Nothing tacky about this hotel.
The hotel is very modern and very nice. The bedrooms are not huge that they are very well appointed, The beds have fantastic mattresses are incredibly comfortable and very quiet as well despite being next to the Train station you can't hear anything
Just next to St Pancras
the huge bath !
Reception are great cheerful and helpful. The free tea and cake are always welcome.
Clean efficient very very pleasant staff
Hate nescafe pods Room too small Bathroom on top of you, privacy of loo from partner nil glass doors on top of bed practically
comfy bed, clean
very noisy room above the bar with a loud DJ
The staff were friendly and courtious. Location excellent, you don't even have to leave Kings Cross station. Rooms quiet.
The pantry. A fair enough idea but it should be stocked up first thing in the morning. There was never any milk or cups on awakening, just when you want a cup of coffee. This was despite politely mentioning this on the firsr morning. The room we were in was very, very small with no room for luggage. Bar more expensive than any other bar we visited during the 3 days. £14,60 for a bottle of beer and a vodka and dash. Other places were under £10.
Everything, pantry, breakfast
The restoration of the building. The design of the rooms. Although very small, they were hugely practical. A very tiny bathroom, BUT, it worked! I am a large man physically, and, despite the smallness of the bathroom, there was sufficient space because of the clever layout. It's not a hotel intended for long stays and it fulfils it's criteria very well.
This is not a complaint, merely a comment. I would prefer to pay more for the breakfast and not to have coffee and orange juice charged as extras. The £28 "ish" toatal cost of the breakfast was reasonable for a 5 star hotel; however, I was irritated by the juice/coffee being charged as "extras". Just increase the cost of a Full English Breakfast to include these.
