nice pub/restaurant, very good value for money
room to far from reception
We stayed for 2 nights, our room (123) was fantastic really large and the view you never get tired of, the bathroom had a full size bath. The staff were friendly and helpful. Some parts of the hotel look a bit tired and in need of some TLC but overall a great experience.
Views, nice room and good staff and nice and clean. Thanks.
No fridge in room if only for bottled water/small bottle lemonade/coke or bar of chocolate at nighttime etc. the shower could of done with a bit more pressure. A few more comfortable seats/chairs to seat in restaurant area etc. thanks.
Great sea view. Good location. Bus stop outside door and train station across the road. Friendly staff. Very clean comfortable bed. Good size room with wonderful bay window.
Breakfast too expensive.
Great value for money, the room I stayed in had lovely character and a stunning view of the sea. As someone who likes spaces with individual quirks, this room was perfect for me. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was cleaned every morning by the staff. The pub attached to the hotel had a good range of meals available throughout the day. Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for my stay in Cornwall.
It would have been nice to have a bath in the bathroom, other than that, everything else was perfect.
Being woken up at 4.30 am by a at least 3 drunken men in an adjoining room shouting and swearing until 7.00 am
Partial sea view Comfortable bed Reimbursement for cold meals. Prompt rectifying of problems with the room.
Expensive menu compared to other places nearby. No free parking. And then it was limited. No proper security, as the hotel was also attached to a public bar and access from the public wandering in and out.
Nice clean place and friendly staff.
Shower not good and non slip mat in bath dangerous as have a terrible bump and bruise on leg as slipped twice shower very slow and did not feel I could say anything to staff also we asked to stay another night but reception staff not helpful
Lovely hotel with amazing views, location great just on the edge of Newquay town. Friendly staff, comfortable bedrooms and a good standard of cleanliness.
We were parked in the over spill car park which badly needs resurfacing. Also the amount of litter and debris dumped there, in need of a daily clean up!
Location: beautiful few at the back over Newquay and on the beach yet very central across from station. Bar and restaurant have lovely sea-views. Outside area was good too. Really nice duo playing live on fri night (12/9) in steam bar. Reception staff very friendly
Bright light in bar and restaurant - if they cld dim t a bit u cld appreciate views at back better at night
Having a drink in the beer garden overlooking the ocean
The awful view of a tatty warehouse opposite our windows, very basic room with dirty bed base.
I liked the tea and coffee refreshments , the position of the hotel in Town , the amiability of the staff .
What I did not like was the smell of old, the damp in the shower-room, the size of the shower cabin (tiny ), the fact that one needs to pay for the hotel's car park, no fridge in the room,
Very very old and tired.
The location was good and the service and staff were very cooperative. Our room had a lovely sea view which we had requested.
Obviously this hotel is very old and needs refurbishing. Our room was very small and shabby, with tatty carpet and dirty doors..The furniture had seen better days, but the linen was fresh and clean. The bathroom was cramped, old and uninviting. We only stayed one night and found better accom. for the same price up the road with breakfast included. Might be suitable for younger people.
Great staff,clean and efficient services.
Not a lot really, bear in mind this is a victorian building and floorboards will creak etc.
The views from the rooms we stay in meals, and the service.
The bed in the bridal room was to small compared to the ones in the deluxe rooms
wonderful sea view worth paying the extra
The wiews! Can't beat that seaview. Comfortable bed Good breakfast Charming town and surroundings Helpful staff
Be sure to book a room that has been refurbished and that has good views. We had to change because they had initially put us in a room with three big fans outside. Quite noicy during daytime and in the restaurant as there were a lot of small children (that can also be a bonus ...).
Very helpful staff, clean and great views from the terrace. Good value for money.
The noise of some sort of extractor fan for the kitchens starting early in the morning and going on until late evening. The vent runs right past the window.
Room 123, Superior Room. Beautiful decor in both the bedroom and the en-suite and a "very" comfortable bed. Fantastic sea-view. Highly recommend.
Had to wait a short while in Reception, as they were short-staffed.
Having a sea view in an excellently appointed room. I highly recommend this hotel.
Views from room Friendly staff Very clean Huge bed Large room
Breakfast not included Thin walls so loud neighbours Paying for parking.
This place was amazing! Our view was incredible, staff where so help full with everything and the price for what we got was unbelievable!
Excellent location and the view was stunning from the terrace and the window seats in the bar. We didn't eat here but noticing the food being served it looked good value for money.
Our room was very small but it was a budget room which I had not realised I had booked but even so it was clean and functional for a one night stay. Next time I will pay attention to what I can book
excellent location, great views from the restaurant and outdoor garden wi-fi in rooms and communal areas working just fine staff in reception - very friendly and efficient
breakfast bit overpriced, with vegetarian full english option come 2 tablespoons of beans (???)
